Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2614: Chapter 1894: A Heart of Mercy

During the days Bai Xiaosheng was trapped in Oshan, many prominent Huaxia families, including the Wei Family, Bai Family, Luo Family, and Qin Family, all rallied to support Bai Xiaosheng.

Among them, the Wei Family was the most resolute in attitude and took the strongest actions.

If Bai Xiaosheng were truly involved in Oshan’s media storm and faced a disaster of destruction, the Wei Family would spare no costs to help him out of trouble.

From this point of view, the Wei Family indeed treated Bai Xiaosheng as one of their own.

Bai Xiaosheng was deeply moved after knowing this.

At this moment, a call came in from Wei Tianhe, presumably knowing that Bai Xiaosheng was out of danger.

Before answering the call, Bai Xiaosheng actually felt a bit guilty; he should have called the old man first to assure him of his safety.

When the call connected, a bright and vigorous voice came from the other side, full of care.

”Sheng, is everything resolved?”

This simple and straightforward question was filled with endless concern.

Bai Xiaosheng felt warm in his heart and smiled, ”It’s all resolved, Sir Wei.”

”That’s good, good!” Wei Tianhe laughed heartily, ”Actually, I’ve already learned about your situation from the news, thinking perhaps you might still need to go through some procedures, or it might be too early to catch you on the phone, so I didn’t call you.”

”No, no, I should have been the one to call you!” Bai Xiaosheng hurriedly said, ”It’s my fault! A friend pulled me aside to catch up, and I lost track of time, I’m still not back at the Business Group’s residence.”

Bai Xiaosheng apologized sincerely, while Wei Tianhe didn’t mind and laughed, ”For you not even having time to return to the Business Group, that friend of yours must be someone very extraordinary. The news mentioned it should be the son of Oshan’s Supreme Chieftain, what’s his name—Awak Wak Lakla.”

”It’s him.” Bai Xiaosheng confirmed.

Wei Tianhe laughed, ”Then naturally, you were too preoccupied to attend to anything else. I say you, kid, really are lucky, to actually have done a favor for Oshan’s Supreme Chieftain; I imagine you won’t have any trouble in Oshan in the future!”

This statement is by no means an exaggeration; as long as Bai Xiaosheng doesn’t commit any unforgivable acts that harm Oshan in the future, he will be Oshan’s most honored guest.

Bai Xiaosheng humbly replied with a few words.

After finishing this conversation, Wei Tianhe continued, ”Just now, that old thing Yang Junluo called me.”

Bai Xiaosheng was somewhat expecting this and promptly responded, ”It’s about Yang Xiaoyun, isn’t it.”

Wei Tianhe laughed cheerfully, ”Correct, it’s indeed about him.”

Wei Tianhe continued, ”That old thing Yang Junluo was quite straightforward, telling me his son Yang Xiaoyun had issues with you in business, and in his remorse, he colluded with outsiders to claim the gift he sent you as a commercial bribe, causing you unjust suffering. Upon learning this, he was extremely angry and immediately contacted the Huaxia side to report the matter and suspended all of Yang Xiaoyun’s duties. He said he originally wanted to testify for you.”

”Then I really should thank Old Mr. Yang.” Bai Xiaosheng said.

”Hmph, that old thing, his words are not completely truthful, half true, half false.” Wei Tianhe snorted.

Calling him an old thing repeatedly, it seems Wei Tianhe was quite annoyed with Yang Junluo.

”I’ve heard that Yang Xiaoyun has already been taken away by the corresponding departments in Oshan, on suspicion of framing the Huaxia Business Group leader, who is also the benefactor of the Supreme Chieftain’s son, estimating that the punishment will be severe, a few years in prison would be considered light! Yang Junluo now comes to me begging for his son, asking me to ask you to let Yang Xiaoyun off.” Wei Tianhe said, ”Sheng, what do you think about this matter? How are you going to handle it?”

Wei Tianhe spoke, and Bai Xiaosheng naturally said, ”If not for your call, I would not ask Oshan to heavily punish Yang Xiaoyun, but I would certainly ignore Yang Family’s plea.”

Bai Xiaosheng’s tone shifted, ”But for your word, I’d be willing to speak a few words on Yang Xiaoyun’s behalf.”

As Bai Xiaosheng said this, he also mused to himself: Old man, even without your call, I would give the Yang Family some face, at least to trade some benefits for Dong Tianlu and the others, but wouldn’t let Yang Xiaoyun off lightly, he’d need to suffer a bit, teach Yang Family a lesson!

Wei Tianhe seemed quite pleased to hear Bai Xiaosheng say that.

”Good child, I know you’ve been wronged in this matter.” Wei Tianhe said on the phone, ”To be honest, I too am annoyed with that old thing Yang Junluo, don’t fancy his two sons. But after all... I have decades of friendship with that old thing, and can’t really bear to ignore his plea. Of course, we must not suffer any loss for the sake of us men! I told Yang Family’s old thing that me speaking on his behalf is just one side, he also has to convince you! So, you can name your price with Yang Family, don’t be too polite!”

Since Wei Tianhe said it like this, Bai Xiaosheng naturally agreed.

”However, Sir Wei...” After finishing the business talk, Bai Xiaosheng’s tone slightly changed, a bit as if he’s sweet-talking, ”With your word, my grudges dissipate, but truthfully, I felt really wronged, and I know our Wei Family has been truly good to me this time, I’ve kept it in my heart. But don’t you think some extra incentive would be appropriate, as a consolation for my injured little soul...”

Knowing what kind of person Wei Tianhe is, Bai Xiaosheng’s manner of speaking already gave him an inkling, causing him to laugh and scold, ”You rascal, have you already planned this, thinking to sell me the old man a favor, and then exchange for some leniency in Xuelian’s Family Head term reduction.”

With a chuckle, Bai Xiaosheng replied, ”You are wise, clever and astute, alive wizard, rival of Zhuge...”

”Enough, enough, cut out the flattery!” Wei Tianhe feigned anger but laughed, ”You’ve brought business to my doorstep, well done! Since I mentioned it, and you’ve indeed had a hard time, here’s what I’ll do: I’ll reduce Xuelian’s Family Head term by five years for you.”
