Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2640: Chapter 1905: Avoiding the Meeting? (2)

Milo looked at his father with a blank expression.

”What kind of look is that? A bit unwilling, and a bit depressed.” Anlos unintentionally looked up, saw Milo’s expression, and laughed, ”It’s quite similar to how I feel now.”

Milo couldn’t hold it back any longer, pointing at the chessboard, ”Just now, weren’t you about to lose! Then you took advantage of answering the phone to upset the board. Isn’t this cheating!”

”Ah, did I?” Anlos looked innocent and said, ”Why do I feel like I was about to win?”

Milo got up and left, ”I’m going to bed, you should rest early too, and by the way, I don’t want to play this game again these days, just watching it makes me frustrated...”

Such a financial magnate, actually acting like this...

...

That night, not a word was spoken.

The next day, Chen Feiqiu went to find Bai Xiaosheng as usual, and they were going to continue traveling for leisure.

Currently, both the Hogson Family and the Anlos Family had reached an agreement with Oshan, and they were busy preparing, with the relevant departments coordinating. There wasn’t much for the two of them to worry about for now.

”However, my mother told me this morning that you’ll be involved in the key affairs with me later on, you can’t avoid it. For me, it’s a learning opportunity. For you, maybe they think you’re talented, so might as well make use of it.” Chen Feiqiu joked with a cheeky smile.

”By the way, have you notified your ’family’? You’re still the Executive President of Zhenbei Group’s regional division, right?” Chen Feiqiu reminded in time.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”I’ve already notified them over the past two days. Although the business delegation’s inspection is over, I imagine I’ll be staying in Oshan for quite some time. I’ve asked them to manage the company well and be ready for the development of international business.”

Chen Feiqiu laughed heartily, ”That’s best, that’s best, let them all keep busy so we can enjoy a leisurely life.”

Bai Xiaosheng also smiled, ”I think yesterday’s beach was nice, we can go again, the grilled seafood was very delicious.”

”Then let’s go! Today, there shouldn’t be anyone coming to disturb us on the beach!”

The two of them really hit it off.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying couldn’t help but smile at each other, in fact, they also felt that it was nice to enjoy the sea breeze and eat seafood. Who wouldn’t want to live a leisurely little life?

True to their word, the group set off again, taking a private plane to yesterday’s beach.

The coconut trees cast their shadows, the water was clear and the sand was white, the group played around for a while, and just like yesterday they took the yacht out to sea.

On the deck, the four lined up in a row, fishing for seafood.

But they hadn’t been fishing for even an hour when Chen Feiqiu’s phone rang.

”It’s the butler’s call, it can’t be my parents looking for me, right?” Chen Feiqiu frowned when he saw the caller ID, ”Could it be something happened and they’re calling us back?”

”If that’s the case, then our outing today will be a bit frustrating...”

While speaking, Chen Feiqiu answered the call.

Bai Xiaosheng and the other two curiously watched him.

They wondered if their fishing trip was about to end and if they would have to head back.

In less than two minutes, Chen Feiqiu put down his phone, covered the receiver with his hand, and said to Bai Xiaosheng, ”There’s one piece of good news and one piece of news that I can’t quite say is good or bad, which do you want to hear first?”

This statement left Bai Xiaosheng momentarily dumbfounded.

”Shouldn’t it be one piece of good news and one piece of bad news?” Bai Xiaosheng said, amused and a little exasperated, ”Tell me, what on earth is ’news that you can’t say is good or bad’, do you have to make it so convoluted?”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying also felt the need to complain about this.

”Hey, don’t worry about that, just tell me which one you want to hear first.” Chen Feiqiu smiled.

Bai Xiaosheng thought for a moment.

”Then, let’s hear the convoluted news first.”

Chen Feiqiu didn’t beat around the bush and said directly, ”Brady is here, he came to visit in person.”

Ordinary people probably don’t have the privilege to visit the Supreme Chieftain directly, but clearly, a businessman of Brady’s status wasn’t included in that.

Brady, huh. Bai Xiaosheng’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Yesterday, it seemed to be here too, Anlos said the earliest Brady would arrive today, and it seems he predicted it quite accurately.

But I already said, if possible, I don’t want to see Brady for a whole month.

”My parents always have excuses to cancel this meeting, pushing the problem onto the two of us. The butler asked if we want to go back.” Chen Feiqiu looked at Bai Xiaosheng and said, ”I remember you mentioning yesterday you didn’t plan to see him too early. Is that right? I don’t know why you don’t want to see your own group people. So, are we going back?”

The way Chen Feiqiu said it, it seemed like Brady was visiting Bai Xiaosheng, not his home...

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying also looked towards Bai Xiaosheng.

”You decide.” Bai Xiaosheng stared at the fishing bob on the sea and said, ”Anyway, I’m not planning to see Brady even if I go back.”

”Alright then!” Chen Feiqiu nodded decisively, seeming to understand.

”So, we’re not going back!” Chen Feiqiu picked up the phone and seriously told the butler on the other end, ”Inform the guest to wait for our return. How long? Until noon, arrange for them to eat, treat them well, don’t break etiquette. Yes, after lunch, tell them my situation changed, I’m too busy to return. Yes, yes, have them come another day.”

Chen Feiqiu directly instructed the servant to stand Brady up.

After hanging up the phone, Chen Feiqiu joyfully said, ”Let’s continue fishing.”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying couldn’t help but exchange glances, feeling sorry for Brady.

Beside them, Lei Ying couldn’t help but ask, ”Aren’t you worried, you’ll anger that big benefactor, and he won’t invest heavily in Oshan?”

”This won’t happen.” Chen Feiqiu glanced at Bai Xiaosheng, ”Yesterday, Bai Xiaosheng told me that our Oshan is a core investment region Brady can’t bypass. Besides, we’ve already secured the Hogson and Anlos families, why be concerned about missing him? At worst, we’ll find someone else.”

This answer was indeed ”magnanimous.”

Lei Ying was left speechless.

Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but ask, ”You just mentioned two pieces of news, what was the good news?”

Lei Ying also couldn’t help but look at Chen Feiqiu.

Indeed, didn’t he just mention two pieces of news?

Chen Feiqiu mumbled, ”The call from my parents wasn’t to rush us home, isn’t that good news?”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were speechless.

”By the way, why do I feel you’re colder towards your own group people than to Hogson and Anlos?” Chen Feiqiu couldn’t help but curiously ask Bai Xiaosheng.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying exchanged a glance.

They knew that Brady once looked for Bai Xiaosheng, and the exchange wasn’t pleasant. Brady supported Bai Xuanyu, being one of those ”unfriendly” towards Bai Xiaosheng within the group. Just based on this, it wasn’t surprising for them that Bai Xiaosheng wasn’t fond of him.

However, Bai Xiaosheng probably wasn’t that petty, there must be another reason.

Bai Xiaosheng sat steadily at the fishing station, gazing at the sea and leisurely said, ”I must avoid suspicion, the more it involves my own people, the more I must handle it business-like.”

This isn’t handling it business-like, it’s harsher than facing outsiders.

Even Chen Feiqiu couldn’t help but want to complain.

”Brady, in his work, has an aggressive attitude, if I don’t hold him off for a few days, he’ll pressure me in the negotiations to do things. Even if I offer him greater concessions, he wouldn’t be satisfied, might even pressure me from the upper management, making things difficult for me. I have to use time to let him know, the situation is beyond personal control, he can’t be too excessive.”

”Also, whatever talks I have with Brady are monitored by Hogson and Anlos, they’ll assume favoritism from me which isn’t beneficial for future unity. I let them run a few steps ahead, gain some advantage, to preemptively shut them up.”

What Bai Xiaosheng said seemed reasonable, made sense.

Chen Feiqiu couldn’t help but nod, appreciating Bai Xiaosheng’s efforts and intentions.

”And most importantly—” Bai Xiaosheng paused, looking at Chen Feiqiu.

Chen Feiqiu immediately focused, eager to hear what other reasons Bai Xiaosheng had under his serious tone.

”Brady and I are not aligned in group interests, by doing this, I feel happy.”

This comment from Bai Xiaosheng almost made Chen Feiqiu fall headfirst into the sea.

Even Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying didn’t expect Bai Xiaosheng to actually say that.

Chen Feiqiu burst into laughter, giving a big thumbs up to Bai Xiaosheng, ”I really love your last reason!”
