The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Remember Your Status

Feng Qing saw the dining table full of dishes, her eyes finally brightened. She intended to turn her sorrow and anger into strength and have a hearty meal.

These dishes were clearly made by a master chef, they looked good, and the taste was probably not bad either.

Just as Feng Qing picked up her chopsticks to try these dishes, she suddenly felt the air around her stiffen. She instinctively looked at the man opposite, only to see the Prince Regent looking deeply at her, his gaze difficult to decipher.

Feng Qing saw his eyes like that, her heart sank, her chopsticks nearly fell. Was something going to happen again?

Her thought had just fallen, when Si Qi standing behind gently reminded her, ”Princess Consort, you should serve dishes to the Prince.”

Feng Qing’s chopsticks successfully fell onto the table, her face looked as if she was struck by lightning: ”I have to serve dishes.”

Opposite, Rong Ling saw her face change color, his mood improved once again. Ha, after causing him such great trouble, how could he let her live as she pleased?

With her feeling uneasy, his anger subsided quite a bit.

Rong Ling thought while coldly saying, ”Serve the dishes.”

Feng Qing felt her anger surging, countless blazing lions roared inside her. Serve, my foot serve, watching delicious foods placed in front but unable to eat them, how painful it was!

She wished she could rise and smash this man’s head, but upon thinking of her current weakened state, Feng Qing gritted her teeth, calming her anger, slowly said, ”Prince, aren’t there concubines?”

These women were meant to serve him, right? She was the main wife, not his concubine.

Feng Qing thought and sat properly, raising a hand to indicate Consort Jiang and other women, ”Come here, serve the Prince dishes well, serve your master well, rewards await you later.”

Rong Ling was amused by her last words. Reward? Who did she think she was?

He thought as his handsome face suddenly clad with frost, his eyes deep and cold like a dark pool, sharp as a treasure sword drawn from its sheath. His words also carried no warmth.

”Princess Consort, best remember your place.”

Feng Qing felt a heart tremor, understanding that sometimes one must bow when under the roof.

Feng Qing quickly got up and stood by Rong Ling’s side, smiling warmly, ”Prince, which do you want to eat, I will serve you.”

Rong Ling coldly glanced at her, chuckling coldly. It seemed some people shouldn’t be shown even a hint of niceness.

Rong Ling picked up chopsticks and started to eat, while Feng Qing served dishes for him. But seeing so many delicious dishes on the table but unable to eat them, Feng Qing cursed silently, while the Prince Regent, was enjoying his meal.

The women in the main hall were dumbfounded, staring at everything before them. The Prince never had women serve him dishes, he always ate by himself.

What did this mean?

Consort Jiang and the others thought and concluded that the Prince wanted to rub in this woman’s path.

Thinking so, the women became happy again. It seemed the Prince disliked this Princess Consort, and asking them to serve her tea wasn’t to prevent gossip in the Prince Mansion.

This thought made each feel good.

Si Qi, Si Qin, and Si Shu, the three head maidservants, however, were not as happy as Consort Jiang and others, feeling exceedingly surprised. The Prince always maintained self-control while eating, since when did he become so casual, and seemingly in a good mood?

Though his face showed no expression, looking very cold, as his head maidservants, they could sense his mood at this moment was different from usual.

Si Qi, Si Qin, and Si Shu all looked up at Feng Qing.
