The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 30: Chapter 30: The Prince Is Unreliable

After Feng Qing finished speaking, Rong Ling’s face grew dark and he stared at her with a cold charm.

You’re throwing a tantrum with me, the Prince.

Seeing through Rong Ling’s thoughts, Feng Qing quickly stated, ”The Prince has misunderstood.”

Si Hua paled further at Feng Qing’s earlier words, her body swaying as if about to fall. Si Shu, who couldn’t bear to watch, glanced at Feng Qing before saying, ”Princess Consort, it’s better to leave some room for compromise.”

Feng Qing turned to look at Si Shu, then addressed Rong Ling, ”The Prince’s maids are indeed more capable than others.”

Rong Ling turned his gaze towards Si Shu, his face now cold as an ice sculpture, his dark eyes devoid of any warmth.

Si Shu was also frightened, her face turned pale, and she instinctively knelt down.

”Prince, this servant deserves to die.”

Rong Ling’s cold, emotionless voice rang out, ”Nan Feng, remove Si Hua, find someone to marry her off.”

”Yes, Prince.”

”Si Shu, confined for three months, and penalize three months’ monthly silver, should there be another offense, you will be punished for both crimes.”

Silence enveloped Purple Bamboo Pavilion, no one dared to speak, each casting cautious glances at Feng Qing.

The Prince actually stood up for the Princess Consort, what’s going on? Everyone looked confused.

Only Feng Qing understood, she didn’t believe Rong Ling punished the two maids for her sake; he simply wouldn’t allow anyone to break the Mansion’s rules.

In the eyes of those in high positions, servants would always be servants. Only fools couldn’t understand this fact, thinking that being favored for a few days meant they were untouchable.

In the courtyard, all was cold and quiet. Si Hua came to her senses and frantically kowtowed to Feng Qing.

If she were married off like this, everyone would know she was sent away for committing a mistake. Her life would be ruined; she didn’t want to be married off like this.

”Princess Consort, this servant was wrong, this servant deserves to die, this servant is kowtowing to you. Please keep this servant, this servant will never dare again.”

Si Hua pleaded while fervently kowtowing, soon drawing blood from her forehead.

Feng Qing felt pained seeing this, originally not intending to intervene, but ultimately turned to Rong Ling and said, ”Prince, she still holds the title of my maid, may I temporarily keep her?”

Rong Ling squinted at her. Although this woman was unattractive, he didn’t plan to immediately send her away from Regent Prince Mansion, so for now, he decided to give her some dignity.

”Alright.”

Feng Qing wasn’t inherently kind-hearted; she spoke up because earlier Nanny Qian had mentioned that Si Qi and Si Hua didn’t want to become Rong Ling’s concubines and had volunteered to serve by her side.

As Dayan Regent King, Rong Ling was not only powerful but also extremely handsome. Many women wanted to climb into his bed, but Si Qi and Si Hua refused to be his concubines.

This made Feng Qing regard these two maids with extra favor, which is why she spoke out.

She feared if she didn’t speak, Si Hua might kowtow herself to death.

Hearing Feng Qing’s words, Si Hua breathed a sudden sigh of relief, her heart securely settled.

At this moment she realized, the Prince was cold-hearted and emotionless, relying on him led nowhere, while the seemingly cold Princess Consort had a truly kind heart. From now on, it was better to rely on the Princess Consort.

”Thank you, Princess Consort.”

Once Si Hua finished speaking, she promptly fainted.

Witnessing her relentless kowtowing followed by fainting, Feng Qing found it unbearably embarrassing and so instructed a nearby maid, ”Caiyun, help her down and find a doctor to attend to her.”

”Yes, this servant knows.”

Caiyun led two little maids to assist Si Hua away.

Within the vast Purple Bamboo Pavilion, none dared harbor a single disrespectful thought towards Feng Qing. Despite their bewilderment, why had the Prince not divorced the Princess Consort? She was so unattractive, cursed even, yet the Prince had not divorced her and was instead treating her quite well.
