The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Sharp Tongue

Rong Ling glanced coolly at Feng Qing. To say the eldest daughter of the Feng Family in the rumors couldn’t pull off such a flower sedan swap, but for the one before his eyes, it seemed possible.

Feng Qing caught a glimpse of his gaze, almost infuriated by seeing through his thoughts.

”Me, abandoning the position of Empress to become a Princess Consort, do you think it’s possible?”

”The entire Dayan knows how brutal the Prince is, am I not afraid?”

”Me?”

As Feng Qing was defending herself, the person on the soft bed grew impatient and coldly murmured, ”Shut up, or else I’ll have your mouth sewn shut.”

Feng Qing instantly fell silent, not uttering another word, but in her heart, she fiercely thought, Rong Ling, I hope you’ll never fall into my hands one day.

The man beside the carriage smirked slightly, darkly saying, ”Cursing me in your heart, are you?”

Feng Qing immediately adjusted her attitude, saying, ”Prince, you overthink. Even if I had ten times the courage, I wouldn’t dare to curse the Prince.”

”Sharp-tongued.”

Rong Ling’s cold reprimand had barely landed when the carriage stopped, and a respectful voice called from outside, ”Prince, we have arrived at the Prince Mansion.”

Inside the carriage, Rong Ling moved swiftly, stepping out of the carriage, while tossing a statement, ”Lock the woman in the carriage in the wood shed.”

Behind him, Feng Qing’s face was full of anger, as if they intended to imprison her first and then orchestrate her sudden death.

”Prince, there’s no evidence proving today’s matter was my doing, the Prince shouldn’t imprison me.”

Feng Qing’s words received no response from Rong Ling. As she got off the carriage, two people swiftly appeared to drag her away.

Feng Qing struggled, but unfortunately, the two pulling her were clearly trained martial artists, their strength immense, making her no match, so she complied and let them escort her.

The wise adapt to the circumstances, perhaps she could suffer a little less.

The two Prince Mansion Guards escorted her all the way to the wood shed and imprisoned her.

Inside the wood shed, most of the area was occupied with firewood, leaving only a small space for movement.

In the cramped space, Feng Qing paced back and forth, struggling to devise a plan to escape.

But clearly, discussing this with the Prince Regent was futile, if she stayed, the outcome might very well be a sudden death.

Having cherished life so dearly, how could she die in the Prince Mansion like this, it was better to escape.

With a thought, Feng Qing carefully approached the window of the wood shed to peek outside. Guards stood at the front, but none at the back, and after careful observation, she noticed the area was remote and seldom frequented, making escape not too difficult.

She decided to escape at dawn, when people are naturally drowsiest.

Having made her decision, Feng Qing wanted to sleep for a while, but couldn’t. With a sword hanging over her head, sleep was impossible.

Fortunately, time passed swiftly, and as the night began receding, Feng Qing took action at last.

The wooden window at the back of the wood shed was no longer sturdy, a gentle push from Feng Qing and it opened, just as she had observed.

Feng Qing opened the window, quietly climbing out through it.

Behind the wood shed lay a vast bamboo grove, indeed a perfect place for escape.

With that thought, Feng Qing darted towards the Northwest direction.

She kept running, completely unaware that her movements were already exposed. Seeing a wall ahead, Feng Qing rejoiced, rushing forward to climb it.
