The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Get Out

Housekeeper Lin Cheng is a chubby man, both white and fat and short. He already looked white, fat, and short, and yet he wore all white clothes, resembling a walking big white bun.

However, this person quite likes to smile and speaks pleasantly: ”Princess Consort, I will send you to the Purple Bamboo Pavilion. If any servant is disobedient, just send someone to tell me, and I’ll drive them out.”

”Thank you, Housekeeper Lin.”

Within the Purple Bamboo Pavilion, there’s one housekeeper, two senior maids, four second-class maids, four third-class little maids, and four rough old women.

Originally, all these people thought that the eldest young lady of the Marquis Jing’an Mansion was bound to be driven out by the Prince, but unexpectedly, the Prince ordered her to stay in the Purple Bamboo Pavilion.

What does this mean? The Prince doesn’t intend to dismiss this Princess Consort? Could it be he wants her to be the Princess Consort of the Regent Prince Mansion?

All at once, whispers arose throughout the vast Purple Bamboo Pavilion.

The senior maid Si Hua was unreserved in coldly scolding the whispering little maids, showing no face to Feng Qing.

”What nonsense are you talking about? The Prince could never want such a Princess Consort. It’s just not convenient to drive people out right now; soon, some people will have to leave.”

Feng Qing was too lazy to bother with this maid and simply ordered Si Qi, who served her earlier: ”Have someone fetch some food from the main kitchen.”

She had only eaten a bowl of rice last night and hadn’t eaten anything in the morning. After causing a stir at Marquis Jing’an Mansion, she was extremely hungry now, and it’s better to eat something first.

But as Feng Qing finished speaking, the senior maid Si Hua unexpectedly grabbed Si Qi, stopping her from moving, clearly intending to challenge Feng Qing and give her an intimidating display.

Feng Qing’s expression suddenly turned cold. She strolled over to Si Hua, staring at her coldly.

Si Hua also lifted her head, arrogantly confronting Feng Qing, but after a short moment, she was unable to withstand Feng Qing’s sharp gaze and dared not meet her eyes directly.

On one side, Si Qi watched, instinctively feeling uneasy, tugged Si Qi’s sleeve, and looked at Feng Qing saying: ”Princess Consort, I will immediately have someone fetch the food.”

Feng Qing spoke, looking at Si Hua: ”Such an exceptional person as yourself, I can’t use you here. Go ask Housekeeper Lin to arrange another honorable place for you.”

As Feng Qing finished speaking, Si Hua looked incredulously at Feng Qing: ”Wha... what do you mean by that?”

Feng Qing unceremoniously said: ”Get out.”

Si Hua was stunned, and everyone inside the Purple Bamboo Pavilion was left speechless. Miss Si Hua was one of the four major maids beside the Prince. The Princess Consort unceremoniously told her to get lost.

Perhaps the Princess Consort doesn’t know Si Hua’s status; hence she dared to drive her away.

Yet no one dared to speak for a moment; tears welled up in Si Hua’s eyes, her tears falling down. As one of the Prince’s four major maids, she had never been humiliated like this.

Being driven out by a woman she looked down on, how could she maintain her dignity and live?

With a loud cry, Si Hua turned and ran out of the Purple Bamboo Pavilion, while Feng Qing coldly glanced at everyone inside as if she hadn’t seen anything.

In the courtyard, everyone was frightened and quickly turned back to work, while Feng Qing turned to look at Si Qi.

Si Qi immediately recalled Feng Qing’s earlier instruction about arranging someone to fetch food and promptly spoke: ”I’ll arrange for someone to get the food.”

Feng Qing turned and walked all the way to the main hall of the Purple Bamboo Pavilion, with the housekeeper Nanny Qian quickly following Feng Qing’s steps.

She could see clearly now; this one is not of a good temperament, daring even to drive out a major maid from the Prince’s side. Surely unaware of Si Hua’s status, no doubt.
