The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: The Prince’s Maids Are Also Servants

Nanny Qian cautiously glanced at Feng Qing and softly said, ”Princess Consort, Si Hua is one of the four maids by the Prince’s side. It’s not quite appropriate to drive her out.”

Feng Qing listened to Nanny Qian’s words, and her expression did not change in the slightest. She already felt suffocated tolerating Rong Ling, and now she was expected to endure his maid? It was utterly ridiculous.

Feng Qing sneered coldly and said, ”Is the Prince’s maid not a servant, but a master instead?”

Nanny Qian stiffened, instinctively realizing her mistake. Indeed, even though Si Hua was the Prince’s chief maid, she was still a servant. Moreover, she was a servant who had defied her master. Even if the Prince found out, he might not necessarily protect her.

Nanny Qian’s expression subtly changed. She cautiously glanced at Feng Qing, observing her poised demeanor and the calm composure of her speech, feeling she couldn’t afford to be careless.

This one not only had a poor temperament but also an extraordinary aura not found in ordinary people.

Wasn’t the eldest daughter of the Marquis Jing’an Mansion supposed to be weak and timid, unable to stand out? What was going on?

Feng Qing no longer paid attention to Nanny Qian and lifted her eyes to examine the Purple Bamboo Pavilion.

The main building of the Purple Bamboo Pavilion had five rooms, with the central one being the main hall. To the east of the main hall, one room was used as a flower room, and another was divided into two sections, with the outer section for resting and the inner section as the master bedroom.

The two rooms to the west were a study and a bathing area.

Feng Qing, accompanied by Nanny Qian, entered the flower room and sat down on a rattan chair.

”Nanny Qian, tell me about the situation in the Prince Mansion. How many masters are there in the Prince Mansion? Who are the people serving around the Prince, and what should I pay attention to?”

She was currently residing in the Regent Prince Mansion, and didn’t know when she would leave,

Nanny Qian pondered. These were not things that couldn’t be discussed, so she immediately replied in a respectful manner.

”Besides the Prince, our Prince Mansion has two concubines and two aunts. Consort Jiang was assigned to the Prince by the Empress Dowager, Aunt Tong and Shu Aunt were rewards from the Emperor, and Consort Song was brought in by the Prince himself.”

”Currently, all major affairs in the Prince Mansion are managed by Consort Song. Additionally, there is Nanny Luo, who is the Prince’s wet nurse, essentially half a master, residing in Qingfeng Yard in retirement.”

”As for the attendants around the Prince, there are four main guards: Nan Feng, Nan Sheng, Nan Xuan, and Nan Jin, with Nan Feng being the chief among them. Besides them, the Prince originally had four chief maids: Si Qin, Si Qi, Si Shu, and Si Hua.”

Nanny Qian paused here, seemingly considering whether to say more, to curry favor with the Princess Consort.

Feng Qing looked up at her, and she immediately smiled and continued, ”The four chief maids were all taught by Nanny Luo to serve the Prince as concubines. Previously, when the Prince and Princess Consort were married, Si Qi and Si Hua pleaded with the Prince to serve as chief maids beside the Princess Consort.”

”They apparently didn’t want to be the Prince’s concubines, preferring to be a housekeeper instead.”

Nanny Qian carefully glanced at Feng Qing as she finished speaking, fearing that Feng Qing might be angry over the matter of the concubines. However, Feng Qing’s expression remained unchanged, she merely raised an eyebrow.

She didn’t expect timid Si Qi and the bold and arrogant Si Hua to not be the type who would crawl into bed, which made Feng Qing regard them more highly.

As Feng Qing was pondering, outside, Si Qi came with two young maids, bringing in the food.

”Princess Consort, the food has arrived.”

Just as Si Qi finished speaking, there was suddenly a thud outside the door, followed by the sound of a commotion.

Feng Qing glanced at Nanny Qian and said, ”Go out and see what happened.”

Nanny Qian went out to have a look, then returned with a complicated expression, ”Princess Consort, it’s Si Hua kneeling in the courtyard.”
