The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: The Prince Truly Has Good Fortune

Rong Ling saw Si Hua’s actions, her face turned even colder, her dark eyes deep and mysterious, her voice as cold as ice.

”Where is your Princess Consort?”

Feng Qing had already heard the conversation outside, initially not wanting to pay it any mind. But since the Prince was asking her, she had no choice but to appear.

Feng Qing walked out with Si Qi, greeted Rong Ling with a bow, and said, ”Greetings, Prince.”

Rong Ling raised an eyebrow and said coldly, ”What happened here? Having someone kneel all afternoon without a good reason.”

Feng Qing looked at Rong Ling with an ambiguous smile; he was showing concern, truly worthy of personal service. However, this did not concern her, so Feng Qing calmly said, ”Prince, just ask her yourself.”

Rong Ling turned to look at Si Hua, whose face instantly turned pale. She now truly realized her mistake. Earlier, driven by a bout of temper, she wanted to give the Princess Consort a show of force, but she forgot that the Princess Consort was the master, and she was merely a servant, even if she was the Prince’s senior maid.

Si Hua’s lips moved slightly, unsure of what to say.

Si Shu, who was supporting her, spoke coldly, ”Don’t be afraid, the Prince is here. Speak confidently; has someone bullied you?”

Feng Qing glanced at Si Shu, her lips curving into an indifferent smile.

Each of the Prince’s maids had quite a bold heart.

Earlier, Nanny Qian mentioned that Si Qi and Si Hua didn’t want to be the Prince’s concubine, which is why they requested to be transferred to her side.

So, these two before her, Si Qin and Si Shu, seemed to wish to be Rong Ling’s concubine.

Feng Qing thought about this while scrutinizing the two maids, one gentle and charming, the other with a cold and proud demeanor.

Feng Qing recalled the four women she had seen before, and with these two women before her, the Prince Regent truly leads a blessed life.

While Feng Qing was pondering this, Rong Ling, seeing Si Hua unable to speak, immediately grew angry and shouted coldly, ”What is going on?”

Startled by Rong Ling’s shout, Si Hua instinctively knelt down, ”Prince, this servant deserves death.”

Si Shu grabbed her, preventing her from kneeling, ”Are you crazy? Do you want to lose your legs?”

Feng Qing was too tired of watching all this and said indifferently, ”Caiyun, you tell it, explain to the Prince what happened earlier.”

Caiyun cautiously glanced at Si Hua, then spoke softly, ”At noon, Housekeeper Lin sent the Princess Consort to the Purple Bamboo Pavilion and told the people there that it was the Prince’s command that from now on the Princess Consort would live in the Purple Bamboo Pavilion, and that everyone should serve her dutifully.”

”The little maids were gossiping indiscreetly, and Si Hua said that although the Prince hasn’t driven anyone out now, he would surely do so sooner or later.”

Without needing to guess, it’s clear whom the talk about being driven out referred to.

Rong Ling’s expression turned dark as gloom spread across his face, a cold aura emanating from him, his eyes filled with coldness.

He looked coldly at Si Hua, who at a glance saw that her Prince was angry and couldn’t control the trembling in her body.

Indeed, although the four of them served the Prince, he wasn’t particularly good to them, and they didn’t need to attend to him in close proximity; those duties were handled by Nan Feng.

They merely helped the Prince by tidying up the room and study, making clothes and other items.

However, others in the Prince Mansion didn’t know this and treated them with respect, which indeed swelled their pride.

Si Hua felt cold sweat trickling down her body and, weakening, knelt to the ground, ”Prince, this servant deserves death.”

Feng Qing observed everything before her and felt no joy, only annoyance. She had always disliked trouble, preferring a life of freedom and ease.

”Prince, why not find another place for me to live separately?”

Living outside would surely be quieter than living in the Prince Mansion; today it’s the maids, tomorrow it will be those women, it’s infuriating.
