Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

The door opened, and the four people playing cards all turned to look in unison.

Liu Yuhang had just slammed down a card when he saw Su Zhi. ”Brother Shu, you’re back? Where’d you go just now?”

”Nowhere special.”

Before Su Zhi could speak, Shao Ya walked in after him with a stern face. She yanked him aside and then plopped herself down on the sofa.

Her azure eyes swept across the living room, her gaze icy and hard.

Everyone could sense she was in a bad mood, so they stopped playing and, as if by silent agreement, began to clean up.

Liu Yuhang was silently cursing his luck. ’He’d been the spy for seven rounds, and cannon fodder in six of them. He had finally managed to survive until the end and whittle the king down to a single point of health, only for everyone to just quit...’

”We’re heading to bed. Goodnight, Xiaoya.”

”Uh, yeah. Goodnight, Class President.”

”My friend, Fang Yuan, let us follow the true calling of our hearts and go to sleep!”

”You mean ’wimping out’...”

The four of them filed back to their bedrooms. Just before he went in, Fang Yuan gave Su Zhi a meaningful look.

’You’re on your own.’

Su Zhi was speechless.

’Ahem, no need to panic. I still have Great Sage Yu Bao...’

Yu Bao: ZZZZ... ZZZZ...

’What the hell are you sleeping for?!’

’It’s okay, Shan Bao isn’t as devious as him...’

Shan Bao: ZZZZ... ZZZZ... ZZZZ...

Su Zhi stared at his two deeply sleeping Pet Beasts, silent for a long, long time.

’So much for loyalty. Tamer and pets might be birds of a feather, but when disaster strikes, they fly their separate ways.’

Beneath the moonlight, the girl casually swept back her bright white hair, casting an icy, judgmental gaze his way.

She crossed her long, slender legs, looking even more like a queen on her throne.

”What are you standing there looking so foolish for? Go back to sleep.”

”...I was wrong.”

Su Zhi sighed, lowering his head.

The girl blinked, and the corners of her mouth curled up into a slight, mischievous smile.

Then, before he could notice, she switched back to her ice-queen expression. ”Wrong about what?”

Su Zhi lowered his head even further. ”I... I shouldn’t have touched...”

Shao Ya remained expressionless. ”That’s not it.”

”Huh?” Su Zhi looked up, confused. ”So you mean I can tou—OW OW OW!”

Before he could finish his sentence, the girl rained a flurry of blows on him. Su Zhi covered his head and crouched down defensively as the living room filled with screams worthy of Tom Cat.

”Go ahead and touch it! Touch it! Of course you can touch it! It feels so great, it’d be a shame not to, right?!”

The girl ground her teeth, but seeing him cowering with his head in his hands, she was both annoyed and amused. ”What are you cowering for? Show me that wild side of yours.”

Su Zhi said pitifully, ”I was wrong...”

”Wrong about what?”

”My wild side is only for you to see, no one else...”

”...Pfft-hahaha.”

After a moment of silence, Shao Ya finally couldn’t hold it in anymore and collapsed onto the sofa, roaring with laughter.

Su Zhi sat beside her, hands tucked away, and finally let out a sigh of relief. ’Look at her, laughing so hard. Where’s a trace of that anger from before?’

”Don’t cry, Su Baby~ I was just teasing you. I’m not that kind of person!”

Shao Ya leaned over and comfortingly stroked his head.

Su Zhi lowered his head, enjoying the petting. He suddenly felt a knot of tension inside him dissolve, which was also a very pleasant feeling.

”It’s getting late, and we have to catch a flight tomorrow. Go get some sleep.”

”Okay, goodnight.”

”Wait!”

Just as they were about to head to their separate rooms, the girl suddenly threw her arms around him, her expression shifting back to a pout.

”In the future, you’re not allowed to touch... If you’re going to touch anyone, you can only touch me. Got it?”

Su Zhi looked at her with a smirk. ”Isn’t this what they call throwing yourself at someone...?”

The girl did not like hearing that at all. Her head shot up, she raised her chin, pouted, and puffed out her cheeks like a little pufferfish.

”So what if I’m throwing myself at you! So what?! Do you want me or not?”

”I do.”

As soon as he said it, Su Zhi leaned straight in.

And just like that, their lips met.

In that instant, their entire world was filled with the taste of each other.

The girl’s brain short-circuited. Then, as if she’d finally processed what was happening, her eyes slowly widened.

Su Zhi blinked with great interest, watching as her face was gradually overcome with a wine-red blush, her body grew hot, and her azure pupils quaked violently.

And then...

BAM!

A pink fist the size of a sandbag slammed into him.

Su Zhi’s vision went black, and he collapsed to the floor.

The two pets pretending to be asleep jumped in surprise. They both lifted their heads to observe Su Zhi, wondering what on earth had just happened.

Yu Bao figured he might as well lie back down and go on pretending to be asleep.

Shan Bao figured Yu Bao must have his reasons for doing so, and went back to feigning sleep as well.

”Ah! S-Sorry!” Shao Ya retracted her fist, flustered, and quickly helped Su Zhi up.

”N-Not... dead yet...” Su Zhi said dizzily, stumbling back two steps and using the wall to stay upright.

’What possessed me to just go for it like that? We’re not even at that stage yet... Speaking of which, that must have been a full-power strike from a Tier Three Beast Tamer, wasn’t it? Just as terrifying as they say...’

Seeing him walk toward his bedroom, Shao Ya shot up. ”Where are you going?”

Su Zhi didn’t even turn his head. ”I’m going to sleep. Need to cool my head...”

Shao Ya grew anxious. ”No sleeping!”

With that, she reached out, grabbed Su Zhi by the collar, and hauled him back, plopping him onto the sofa.

Then, with a swing of her long legs, she sat right on top of him.

Su Zhi was completely dumbfounded. ”What are you doing?!”

”No, no, that’s wrong.”

Shao Ya shook her head, muttering as she quickly pulled him up.

Su Zhi had just breathed a sigh of relief when Shao Ya flipped him over and sat on him again.

RRRIP! His collar was yanked open. A second later, he felt the touch of her delicate teeth on the back of his neck, followed by a sharp pain as she bit down.

”Lady! Have mercy!”

”Jeez, shut up! I’m almost done!”

”Seriously, what is even happening right now...”

·

「Five minutes later.」

Su Zhi, looking utterly wronged, finished getting dressed and said his goodbyes in a small voice. ”I’m going to bed now. Goodnight.”

”Go on, go on. Goodnight, Su Baby.”

The girl sat sprawled on the sofa, watching as Su Zhi returned to his bedroom, clutching the back of his neck. A small smile played on her lips.
