Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

”Black Wood, use Earth-Shaking Impact!”

The moment the battle began, Xu Jianzhi decisively gave the order.

He knew, of course, that Shan Bao was no ordinary bird. While other Flash Gold Sparrows excelled at positional skills, zipping back and forth, this one had put all its talent points into defense...

But even so, Xu Jianzhi had no intention of changing his strategy.

The reason was simple—when it came to movement, a Blast Rock Rhinoceros could never outmaneuver a Flash Gold Sparrow capable of Space Teleportation.

He might as well take a gamble and try to defeat his opponent using their own greatest strength!

Earth-Shaking Impact would have a hard time breaking Shan Bao’s defense, but Xu Jianzhi was confident in his own way. After all, the Blast Rock Rhinoceros’s size and tonnage were plain to see; knocking Shan Bao out of the ring was not out of the question.

Compared to some high-end Pet Beasts, the evolution from Stone Armor Rhinoceros to Blast Rock Rhinoceros was simple and pure. There were no flashy frills—just a leap in Power and physical stamina.

Using the same Skills, the current Black Wood could unleash twice the might and explosive force as before. Coupled with the boost from Xu Jianzhi’s Beast Taming Talent, it was even more terrifying.

Xu Jianzhi decided: Time to bet it all!

As his Battle Frenzy talent activated, rings of red markings instantly appeared on Xu Jianzhi’s face. The same markings enveloped Black Wood’s body, its aura immediately surging by an order of magnitude!

”Whoa! A bunch of red stripes just appeared on that guy’s face!”

”So cool! It gives me total tribal warrior vibes!”

”That must be his Beast Taming Talent. Look, that Blast Rock Rhinoceros suddenly got so fast and fierce!”

”Holy crap, that’s terrifying, isn’t it? Is that really a One-star Blast Rock Rhinoceros? I feel like even a Two-star Pet Beast might not be this intimidating...”

”Shan Bao’s about to get hit! This mommy can’t watch!”

In reality, the action in the arena was much faster than the audience’s chatter. By the time their discussions began, the two Pet Beasts had already clashed.

Facing Black Wood’s ferocious charge, Shan Bao bent its legs slightly, its horse (bird) stance solid, looking calm and composed.

BOOM! A pale white shockwave radiated outward from Shan Bao and Black Wood, slamming into the Energy Barrier surrounding the ring and causing it to flicker.

SKREEE—

Black Wood slid back a distance, its eyes narrowing slightly.

’As expected of Su Zhi’s Pet Beast. Even though it’s so small, it’s still terrifying!’

SKREEE!

Shan Bao also slid back a ways. Unsteady on its two feet, it tumbled over, but smoothly got back up and straightened its ruffled feathers.

’This big guy’s got some moves. It actually managed to knock me back a bit, and even nearly broke my defense.’

’Looks like I can’t be careless from now on!’

Black Wood: ”...”

’My full-power attack only managed to ruffle her feathers? Just how insane is her defense?!’

’Why are all of Su Zhi’s Pet Beasts so absurd?!’

”Steady! We knocked her back, which means the strategy is working!”

Xu Jianzhi’s voice rang out in the Beast Taming Space. ”Stick to the plan! Knock her out of the ring!”

”MOO!”

Black Wood charged again, but this time Shan Bao didn’t meet it head-on. With a *Bling*, it flapped its wings and flew into the air, looking down on Black Wood from above.

A traumatic memory suddenly came back to attack it. Black Wood recalled its fight with Yu Bao. That thing had used Sand Manipulation Technique to fly up and kite it to exhaustion before swaggering down for the kill.

But it was a different beast now!

SWOOSH SWOOSH SWOOSH!

A pale yellow Beast Taming Light Array lit up on the ground. Countless heavy, sharp stones erupted from the earth, shooting rapidly toward Shan Bao in mid-air.

Blast Rock Rhinoceros Racial Skill, an Earth Element Low Level Elite Skill, Flying Sand and Stones!

Although the Blast Rock Rhinoceros is a ground-based Pet Beast, it’s known as a killer of aerial Pet Beasts for this very reason.

Wild Blast Rock Rhinoceroses are lords of the land; almost no other ground-dwelling Exotic Beasts are willing to oppose them. However, some aerial raptors enjoy feeding on their young, causing the Blast Rock Rhinoceros parents no end of headaches.

Thus, in the process of evolution, the Blast Rock Rhinoceros not only maxed out its defense but also developed numerous anti-air skills. This was the qualitative leap in its evolution from the Stone Armor Rhinoceros!

SWOOSH SWOOSH SWOOSH!

The dense cluster of stones hurtled through the air, instantly blanketing a section of the sky.

To stay airborne, Shan Bao couldn’t activate Super Heavy Gold Fall. Therefore, if it was hit by even one stone, it would be knocked completely out of the ring, leaving it with no choice but to dodge frantically.

”She’s about to use Golden Feather Flying Blade, just as I predicted!”

Noticing Shan Bao’s opening move, Xu Jianzhi was inwardly delighted. ”Black Wood, activate the Earth Force Field as planned!”

”MOO!”

Black Wood had been waiting for this exact move.

Flying Sand and Stones had neutralized Shan Bao’s aerial advantage, so she would definitely use Flash Gold Teleportation to perform a large-scale positional shift and find an opening.

Golden Feather Flying Blade was just a feint. The real goal was to fill the arena with metal to serve as teleportation anchors. And after studying recordings of Su Zhi’s battles, Xu Jianzhi was already aware of this playstyle.

This time, he was on the second floor!

WHOOSH!

Under Black Wood’s control, the surging earth and stone instantly gathered the feathers together, preventing them from scattering.

Compared to Yu Bao’s incredibly precise control, Black Wood’s Earth Force Field was clearly cruder, but it was far more aggressive, exuding an earth-shattering sense of pressure.

SHING!

A Golden Light flashed, and just as expected, Shan Bao appeared directly in front of Black Wood.

In that instant: Super Heavy Gold Fall plus Hardening. She was going all out!

”Shan Bao, charge! Meet him head-on and give it your all!”

This was both Su Zhi’s command and Shan Bao’s own thought—since all her roundabout tricks were within the opponent’s predictions, she might as well stop playing games and just break through his techniques with pure force!

”That’s right, it’s time to go for broke! Black Wood, we’re going in too!”

”MOO!”

Xu Jianzhi went all out, maintaining his Beast Taming Talent. Boosted by Battle Frenzy, Black Wood and Shan Bao clashed once again!
