Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

”Hiss!” Seeing the young woman subconsciously bite her lip, Xiaolan’s eyes widened in alarm.

At the same time, it felt the terrifying, oppressive force contained within that pitch-black current and was instinctively gripped by fear.

Following the current’s path, they saw a massive, pitch-black serpent materialize in the waters nearby, looking down on them imperiously.

The great serpent was coiled in the water above. Its head alone was nearly thicker than Shao Ya’s entire body, and its enormous frame was suffocating to behold.

A Water and Dark Element High Level Elite Race... the Abyssal Python!

”MROWWWR!”

Seeing it dare to attack her Beast Tamer, Xiaoyue roared, her eyes instantly filling with chilling killing intent.

She activated Deep Forest Grip. Countless gigantic vines erupted from the thick mud of the seabed, swarming and locking onto the serpent from all sides.

In an instant, seven or eight vines had the Abyssal Python completely bound. Under Xiaoyue’s control, the vines tightened in unison, attempting to furiously crush the great serpent on the spot.

But Shao Ya scooped up Xiaolan and rushed toward Xiaoyue. ”It’s a Three-star! Xiaoyue, you’re no match for it!”

’A shame. It’s too late!’

The Abyssal Python’s expression turned mocking, and a black light pulsed across its body.

In the next moment, the vines binding it decayed rapidly, the corruption even spreading back along their roots toward the Energy Light Array.

Xiaoyue’s expression hardened, and she hastily canceled the Skill. The rotting vines immediately blackened and shriveled, dissolving into a pus-like fluid that vanished into the water, leaving only darkness in its wake.

The Abyssal Python’s Core Skill... Light of the Abyss!

Effect: Accelerates the decay of all surrounding non-Water entities!

’A decent struggle. If we were in a forest, you might have actually delayed me for a bit.’

The python sized up Xiaoyue, its gaze suddenly turning cruel.

’Too bad this isn’t a forest! Now, leave your lives behind!’

”MROWW!”

As the Abyssal Python lunged, Xiaoyue threw herself in front of Shao Ya without hesitation, unleashing every Skill she could to stop it.

However, just as the Abyssal Python had said, this was the deep sea, not a forest.

Almost all of Xiaoyue’s Skills lost their usual power here. The few she could use were instantly corroded by the black light upon getting close to the serpent. All she could do was watch helplessly as it drew nearer.

”Huh? Xiaolan?”

”Hiss!” Xiaolan, who had been cowering in Shao Ya’s arms, suddenly shot forward to stand shoulder to shoulder with Xiaoyue.

An azure Light Array lit up, and a powerful torrent of water shot out. This time, it successfully pierced the black light and struck the Abyssal Python.

Xiaoyue shot Xiaolan an approving glance.

The Abyssal Python cried out in pain and roared with fury.

Though terrified, Xiaolan didn’t retreat an inch, its eyes glaring fiercely.

’I don’t care who you are! If you hurt Big Sis Shao Ya, you’re going to pay!’

’Die!’

The Abyssal Python opened its gaping, bloody maw and lunged for Xiaolan.

Xiaoyue instinctively tensed. Countless thick vines surged from the seabed, wrapping around the Abyssal Python layer by layer, only to decay instantly, leaving not even a trace behind.

In a flash, the Abyssal Python’s enormous maw was upon them.

Terrified, Xiaolan squeezed its eyes shut. Xiaoyue pulled it behind her.

Shao Ya leaped forward, shielding both her Pet Beasts beneath her body...

THUD!

Shao Ya opened her eyes.

Instead of the Abyssal Python’s massive jaws, she saw... a thick wall of rock, shimmering with a reassuring golden light.

The young woman’s eyes reddened as she turned to look—

Su Zhi was standing by a coral reef, looking at her with a smile. Yu Bao was there too, its body still covered in a faint Golden Light.

’How is that possible... Is that a Yellow Earth Wall enhanced with Thick Earth Blessing?’

The Abyssal Python shrieked in terror, but then two streaks of gold shot toward it. Before it could react, a sharp pain erupted on the side of its face.

It was Yu Bao’s Furious Sand Blade!

The Abyssal Python roared hysterically. ’Impossible... this is impossible! Why isn’t my Light of the Abyss having any Effect!’

—It was, of course, because the Skill was countered by Yu Bao’s Attribute Suppression. Civilizations fall and time itself may crumble, but the earth is eternal.

Nearby, Yu Bao wore a look of disdain.

’I may not be able to break the Sea Stabilization Array, but you think I can’t handle a punk like you?’

’Enough!’

The Abyssal Python roared hysterically.

’Blocking my attack has made you smug? Landing a scratch on me makes you think you can actually fight me? Don’t get ahead of yourself, human!’

”You know... the last guy who said that is still doing a long stretch in Eternal Hell,” Su Zhi said, tucking his hands into his pockets. ”Besides, I don’t make threats I can’t back up.”

’What?!’

The Abyssal Python froze. Ripples spread through the water beside it, and a pair of eyes glittering with rage slowly materialized—Han Lan’s. They were followed by an immense, oppressive body.

Its eyes flew wide. It tried to turn and flee but found it couldn’t move an inch.

In the next instant, the terrifying Energy of a Quasi-Five-star Exotic Beast washed over it, a pressure that felt a hundred times heavier than the ocean depths, instantly becoming completely and utterly suffocating.

CRUNCH!

”HISSS-ROOOOAR!!!”

Han Lan bit through the Abyssal Python’s neck, killing it instantly.

THUMP—

With a violent shake of its head, Han Lan sent the great python’s enormous body slamming onto the seabed. It didn’t even twitch. It was utterly still.

The impact of the massive corpse kicked up a cloud of sand...

Shao Ya turned her back to the billowing sand, squeezing her eyes and mouth shut.

A moment later, she let out a long sigh of relief and patted the two Pet Beasts in her arms. ”It’s okay now.”

Then, as if losing her balance, she began to fall backward, only to land in a broad, warm embrace.

”Whoa now, isn’t that acting a little too fake?”

Su Zhi chuckled helplessly as he felt the warmth in his arms. ”Who just faints out of the blue like that?”

”What do you mean, ’out of the blue’? I just went through a fierce battle, you know. It’s perfectly reasonable that my legs have gone weak and I can’t stand up.”
