Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

Strangely, no blood flowed from the wound. After the Furious Sand Blade passed through, her body flowed back together like water. Besides a few holes in her clothes, she was completely unscathed.

”As expected of the champion... Your intuition is sharp.”

”The Host” smiled radiantly. She tried to cover the holes in her clothes, but seeing it was a futile effort, she gave up and simply ignored them.

”How did you see through my disguise?”

”There were too many flaws. I don’t even know where to begin. Even Yu Bao knew something was wrong with you.”

Su Zhi said with a deadpan expression, his hands tucked away, and added, ”Felt nice, though.”

”The Host’s” expression turned into a grin. ”Want to touch me again? I wouldn’t say no~”

”Sorry, not interested. Yu Bao! Go!”

”A-WOOO!”

Yu Bao unleashed his power again. The hallway floor instantly dissolved into sand, which rapidly coalesced into Furious Sand Blades that shot toward ”the Host.”

”The Host” raised an eyebrow. The surface of her body instantly became moist and slick, her skin shifting from its original tan to a cool, pale white.

At the same time, her legs and long hair both transformed into fleshy, light-blue tendrils, which on closer inspection looked strikingly like the tentacles of a jellyfish.

Her pupils turned pinkish-blue, while her facial features remained delicate and beautiful, resembling a human girl, except her ears had become long and pointed.

WHOOSH! She dodged the Furious Sand Blades with incredible agility. The way her waist bent to an extreme degree was clearly something no human with a spine could achieve.

And yet, there was nothing awkward about her movements. Her slender tentacles danced through the air, possessing an ethereal sort of beauty.

”A-woo?” Yu Bao’s eyes showed his admiration, and he nodded.

’She can dodge my Furious Sand Blades? This one has the bearing of a Great Emperor!’

”Hee hee~ Thank you for the compliment, mighty Yu Bao~ But your attacks can’t hurt me, you know?”

Seeing another wave of Furious Sand Blades shooting from Yu Bao, ”the Host” grinned, preparing to dodge.

But as they reached her, the Furious Sand Blades abruptly converged, seamlessly transforming into a heavy Quicksand Shield.

”The Host’s” smile froze. ”Shit.”

BANG!

With a dull thud, ”the Host” was sent flying by the Quicksand Shield, spinning a few times in midair before being slammed hard into the wall.

”Heh!” Yu Bao gave a crooked smirk.

The next moment, a raging torrent materialized out of thin air and rushed toward him.

Water Element High Level Extraordinary Skill: High-pressure Water Gun!

Startled, Yu Bao quickly summoned a Yellow Earth Wall to block it. Fortunately, his Yellow Earth Wall was as solid as a fortress, and not a single drop of water splashed onto him.

”Oh, thanks a lot,” said a completely drenched Su Zhi, standing outside the Yellow Earth Wall as he gave Yu Bao a light punch.

The Beast Tamer and his pet looked toward the wall together...

”The Host” hung in the air not far away, supported by her tentacles in a floating posture. She, too, was largely unharmed.

”It’s incredible... Have human Beast Tamers really managed to cultivate their Pet Beasts’ Skills to this degree? To think even a little mutt can be this amazing.”

”No... Actually, the amazing one is you, Su Zhi.”

”The Host’s” smile was all-natural, free of any artifice, yet it was far more devastating than when she was disguised as a human in a business suit.

”How about we take this battle somewhere else? Let your big sister here feel your wild side~”

”Eat shit!”

The words had barely been spoken when a young woman’s sharp cry came from behind them.

Immediately after, vines danced through the air. A massive, dragon-like vine surged forward, almost completely filling the hallway.

Perhaps because the narrow terrain made it impossible to avoid friendly fire, the attack nearly took out Su Zhi as well. Fortunately, Yu Bao reacted quickly, protecting Su Zhi with a Yellow Earth Wall.

’Wait a minute... How the hell did it break through the Yellow Earth Wall?’

”We’ve only just met, and little sister Shao Ya is already being so fierce...”

”The Host,” who had already escaped outside, bit her lip. Her eyes were misty, but her tone was still slightly provocative.

Shao Ya’s face was stern. With a shift in Xiaoyue’s gaze, countless snow-white dandelions bloomed on the vines, then instantly turned red and shot forward in a swarm.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

A continuous stream of explosions echoed from outside as a white shockwave swallowed everything.

From within the smoke, the pinkish-blue figure emerged, dancing lightly, completely unharmed.

A pale pink Energy halo enveloped her, and a shimmering water vapor could be faintly seen within it.

”A Telekinesis Water Field...” Su Zhi recognized the Skill.

A Water and Telekinesis Element High Level Elite Skill. It creates a Telekinesis Field to fill the surrounding air with high-density water droplets, which can neutralize incoming attacks.

’To come out completely unscathed from Xiaoyue’s White Bulb Waltz... Her Skill Level with the Telekinesis Water Field must be incredibly high!’

”I was just trying to conduct a private interview, but little sister Shao Ya wants to *kill* me... Oh my, sister Shao Ya, you’re so scary!”

”The Host” covered her mouth and giggled, clearly enjoying the drama. ”See, I’m the one who feels sorry for Su Zhi~”

”A-woo~” Yu Bao chimed in from the side.

”?”

”The Host” froze. ’What’s happening? When did Yu Bao get over here?’

’Could it be... from those Furious Sand Blades...’

BOOM!

The next moment, Yu Bao’s clone exploded, and a wave of furious sand and fire instantly engulfed ”the Host’s” figure.

A perfect illustration of the phrase ”one more look and it will explode.”

As the fire and sand dissipated, the Host’s figure reappeared. The long, hair-like and skirt-like tentacles were mostly broken, and her body was covered in patches of scorched marks. She looked quite disheveled.

Her pinkish-blue eyes stared at Su Zhi, her cheeks puffed out in an expression of exasperation.

Shao Ya continued to glare at her fiercely.

Su Zhi stood behind Shao Ya with his hands tucked away, silent.

”The Host” suddenly smirked. ”You just said you wanted me to experience your wild side, but now you’re giving me the cold shoulder. Waaah~”

Shao Ya: ”...”

Su Zhi, looking as cool as a cucumber, said, ”Ahem. It was just part of the strategy.”

From not far away, the sound of hurried footsteps could be heard. Other nearby Beast Tamers had noticed the battle.

”It’ll be a hassle if this drags on. Let’s stop here. Goodbye, Su Zhi! I look forward to seeing you again!”

”The Host” waved, and with a flash, her figure vanished without a trace.

Shao Ya, still fuming, ordered Xiaoyue to give chase with Deep Forest Grip, but she only gave up after it proved futile.

Su Zhi looked down at his personal Beast Tamer terminal.

The moment ”the Host” revealed her true form, the scanning module had already registered a result, but he hadn’t had a chance to look at it until now:

[Pet Beast: Siren Elf (Wild)

Attribute: Water and Telekinesis Element

Race: Low Level Commander Race

Real-time Energy Value: 9309]

Siren Elf, the Evolutionary Type of the Siren Jellyfish. According to the limited entries in the index, their intelligence is among the highest of all Exotic Beasts, and they possess a humanoid appearance.

Like the Storm Fish Dragon, this Pet Beast is also a Deep Sea Exotic Beast, one that humanity still knows very little about.

’But they seem to know plenty about humans...’ Su Zhi thought, recalling her outfit, and pursed his lips.

’I have to admit, it really hit all the right spots.’

’Actually, those tentacles weren’t bad either. They had the look of a traditional long dress, and that translucent, gossamer quality was actually way hotter than some business suit...’

’Hiss... that’s so weird. Don’t tell me I’m a furry?’

·

”Luckily, it seems she was just playing a prank. She held no real malice toward you and didn’t use any truly offensive Skills.”

After hearing the whole story, Ke Yan breathed a sigh of relief.

”If that Quasi-Three-star Siren Elf had been a pawn of the Abyssal... things would have been beyond saving.”

”So what if she was a pawn of the Abyssal? I’d still eat her raw,” Shao Ya muttered, her cheeks puffed out and her voice fierce.

Ke Yan gave the two a meaningful glance, then turned to leave.

”Problem solved, so I’m heading out. You two should get back to sleep. Don’t you have a flight to catch tomorrow?”

Su Zhi: ”Huh? That’s it? Aren’t you going to investigate further...?”

”It was just an Exotic Beast’s prank. What’s there to investigate? I’m off, I’m off.”

Su Zhi: ”...”

Ke Yan gathered his team and left in a hurry, as if he were rushing to a banquet.

Su Zhi looked at the fuming girl beside him, recalled the recent series of events, and swallowed hard.

’Go to sleep? I’m afraid a storm of blood and steel is about to break out...’
