Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

An Electric Element Low Level Elite Skill, Thunderbolt Charge!

Just like the Storm Fish Dragon, Jin Lin, as a Low Level Commander Pet Beast, naturally had his own pride.

Facing an opponent who seemed stronger than him, his fighting spirit was instead ignited with the desire to prove himself!

The attack was incredibly fast, crossing more than half the arena in an instant. Yu Bao had no chance to dodge and was hit right at the start of the match.

If this had been the summer camp finals two months ago, Yu Bao might have been taken out on the spot by this blow. Even if he had managed to endure it, his condition would have been severely compromised.

However, the Yu Bao of today was a far cry from his former self.

Jin Lin was shocked to find that his lightning had not broken through Yu Bao’s defense; it hadn’t even managed to paralyze him.

Beneath the scorching, oppressive Golden Light of the lightning, another kind of thick, steady Golden Light flickered.

Yu Bao had activated Thick Earth Blessing in advance, neutralizing the power of the attack!

At the same time, flying sand rapidly gathered around Jin Lin’s limbs, binding him like shackles and rendering him immobile.

The Tier Three Earth Force Field—bind anyone, anytime, anywhere!

With another swipe of his paw, Yu Bao summoned Burning Sand Blades from all directions. The flying sand, entwined with sharp tongues of fire, shot forward, looking to skewer Jin Lin like a shish kebab.

”AWOO!”

Just as he was about to be hit, Jin Lin’s body suddenly erupted with a flash of electricity. The sand binding him loosened, and in the blink of an eye, he was back in his original position.

”Woof...” Yu Bao frowned.

’That’s strange. Based on my Perception of Jin Lin and my own estimations, he shouldn’t have been able to break free from the Earth Force Field I just used so easily.’

’Could my calculations be wrong?’

’No... Wise One Yu Bao cannot possibly make a mistake.’

’Then it must be for some other reason...’

”Yu Bao, don’t rush. Take your time,” Su Zhi reminded him through the Beast Taming Space, sensing the fluctuations in Yu Bao’s thoughts.

”Woof,” Yu Bao nodded, giving off a vibe of, ’Alright, alright, don’t interrupt me while I’m handling business’.

Su Zhi: ”...”

While the tamer and pet were communicating, Jin Lin’s second wave of attacks descended.

A sinister wind howled above the arena. Despite being indoors, thick, dark clouds swirled into existence.

Fierce lightning ravaged the arena amidst the storm’s roar, scorching the metal surface of the stage black. Yu Bao’s figure was completely engulfed, his silhouette barely visible.

An Electric Middle Elite Skill, Celestial Thunder Summoning!

This was one of the natural advantages of Electric Element Pet Beasts. Their attacks were far more swift and continuous than those of other Attributes, allowing them to create an overwhelming offense in an instant.

However, Jin Lin knew that an attack like this couldn’t completely defeat Yu Bao.

Even as he launched the first wave of his assault, he was already prepared to start the second at a moment’s notice.

SWOOSH!

Sand and dust suddenly surged up, suppressing the momentum of the dense, high-energy lightning.

It was Sandstorm!

Seeing the sand and dust rushing toward him like a tidal wave, Jin Lin immediately lowered his center of gravity to brace himself. At the same time, a ring of golden electric arcs enveloped his body, repelling the approaching grains of sand.

An Electric Element Low Level Elite Skill, Thunder-controlling Battle Armor.

”Woof!”

A bark came from the front. Yu Bao scrambled on all fours, pattering forward with a pounce.

”Woof!”

Another bark came from behind. A second Yu Bao also pattered forward, with a Burning Sand Blade flying beside it.

Jin Lin unhesitatingly ignored the one in front and turned to face the Yu Bao accompanied by the Burning Sand Blade.

’This one has a skill with it, this one’s the real one!’

BANG!

And then the Yu Bao in front leaped up and kicked Jin Lin square in the head.

’How is this possible...’ Jin Lin glanced in disbelief at the Yu Bao holding the Burning Sand Blade.

It had already dissolved into sand, and the Burning Sand Blade had vanished with it. It was all an elaborate trap set by Yu Bao.

’That little bastard went to all this trouble... just to kick me in the face??’

”Hah! ⌓‿⌓”

In mid-air, with one paw planted on Jin Lin’s face, Yu Bao raised an eyebrow.

’I’ve always wanted to see this look on your face. This look of jealousy.jpg’

”AWOO!” Enraged and humiliated, Jin Lin activated his Thunder-controlling Battle Armor. A powerful surge of electricity erupted from his body, sending Yu Bao flying.

At the same time, bolts of Celestial Thunder descended from the dark clouds with terrifying pressure, like the Sword of Damocles falling from the heavens!

Yu Bao was clearly prepared for this as well, deftly dodging in mid-air by alternating between Sand Manipulation Technique and Desert Concealment.

Meanwhile, Yu Bao secretly activated his Earth Force Field. Barely visible motes of fine sand began to float and pulse rhythmically in the air around him, almost impossible to detect.

Sure enough, after he dodged a few bolts of lightning, the sand on one side was suddenly disturbed, thrown into disarray as if by an invisible force!

ZAP! A startling bolt of lightning appeared from nowhere, mixed in with the other bolts as it shot forward to Puncture.

Yu Bao remained expressionless, feigning an accidental dodge before landing smoothly on the ground.

CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP!

The sound of applause followed.

”This match is awesome! A true clash of equals!”

”The pace is so fast, and the switches between offense and defense are so quick... This ticket was worth every penny!”

”I don’t know, I get the feeling Su Zhi is going to win. Yu Bao looks like he’s plotting something, with that whole strategist vibe he’s got going on.”

”Tch, Jin Lin hasn’t even gotten serious yet, okay? How dare that mutt try to punch above his weight against a Low Level Commander Pet Beast? You can fool your buddies, but don’t start fooling yourself.”

”LMAO, you’re the expert again, huh?”

”Are you kidding me? Yu Bao’s Energy Value is higher; he’s already Two-star. Plus, he’s just a Middle Elite Pet Beast. Reaching this level is much harder for him than for your precious Jin Lin.”

”Exactly. What’s wrong with being a mutt? Is he eating your food or something? I hope Yu Bao wins! I want to see the Black Fighting Emperor get rekt live on stream!”

”That last sentence is your real goal, isn’t it... but I want to see it too!”

”Hey, expert! When is the Black Fighting Emperor gonna get rekt?!”

”We’re seeing a tight-paced battle in the arena, and the crowd’s enthusiasm has been fully ignited! As the head instructor for this season’s Shanyou Province team competition, who do you think has a better chance of winning?” the host asked, handing the microphone to Ke Yan.

”It’s hard for me to say... Their battle isn’t one where the winner can be determined at a glance.”

Ke Yan took the microphone. ”If I were to look at it objectively, Jin Lin has more cards on the table, so his chances of winning might be slightly higher.

”But Su Zhi often wins in unexpected ways, which is why I’m hesitant to make a final call. He can always surprise you. So my conclusion is, let’s just keep watching. Perhaps we’ll be able to judge at a later point.”

The host nodded. ”I see~”

In the arena, after several rounds of offense and defense, both sides were coincidentally lowering their intensity to take a breather.

”Yu Bao, is it just like we guessed?” Su Zhi asked through the Beast Taming Space.

”Woof.” Yu Bao made an ’OK’ sign with his paw.

Su Zhi’s lips curved into a slight smile.

”Attaboy. That makes things easy. Stick to the plan!”

”Woof!”

Yu Bao slipped on a pair of sunglasses, gave Su Zhi a look that said, ’Just follow my lead,’ and then took off, charging toward Jin Lin.

Chen Xinghao’s mouth twitched.

’Not even using a skill? Is he looking down on me?’

”Jin Lin, teach him a lesson!”

With that, Chen Xinghao lowered his head slightly, a look of determination in his eyes. ”I’m going all out with my Beast Taming Talent to support you. Take him down in one move!”

”AWOO!” Receiving the command, Jin Lin transformed into a streak of lightning and shot toward Yu Bao.

Yu Bao was prepared this time. He used Desert Concealment and dodged with a sideways jump.

Jin Lin was secretly surprised by Yu Bao’s reaction but quickly adjusted and followed closely behind.

”Woof?” Yu Bao issued a challenge.

’Interesting. You want to keep up with my dance steps and grab me the moment my Desert Concealment ends?’

’Then let’s see you try!’

Secret Skill: Repeated Cross Jump!

And so, a blur of sand began to move left and right on the spot, so fast that it left afterimages.

This ignited Jin Lin’s competitive spirit.

’You’re just a mere mutt, don’t get too full of yourself!’

And so, opposite the blur of sand, a streak of lightning also began to jump from side to side.

The style of the battle in the arena suddenly turned strange, and even the referee’s face darkened as he watched.

He even subconsciously wanted to go over and say, ”You two, stop fighting...”
