Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

After briefly inspecting the corpse of each Heaven’s Pride Sequence Number 1 member, Wen Yu exited District 4 and, following the instructions in the manual, once again concealed the entrance to District 4.

This place will become a secret exclusive to the Demon Lord and Wen Yu...

After completing all of this, Wen Yu returned to the room prepared for him by Philip and went to bed.

The night passed without incident.

Early the next morning, Wen Yu washed swiftly and had breakfast, then went to the cold storage. There, he began flipping through the manual, absorbing the knowledge within bit by bit.

It is conceivable that to ”awaken” all the corpses from Districts 1 to 4 would take a very long time—however, compared to the impending harvest, Wen Yu considered the sacrifice of a carbon copy’s freedom to be quite acceptable.

...

The intelligence was relayed back to the ears of the other Wen Yus, and all seven of them were ecstatic.

It must be said, the Demon Lord was genuinely generous this time.

And almost simultaneously, Wen Yu, who was undercover under the Demon Spirit, also transmitted back the dramatic changes in the Demon Realm over these days.

The Demon Spirit completely unified the Demon Realm, and its carbon copy openly took control of the Demon Tribe’s authority—this was not surprising, as there was simply no presence on the Surface Demon Realm capable of opposing the Demon Spirit.

But the news yet to come was uncertain, whether it was good or bad.

The Demon Spirit announced war mobilization, preparing in the near future for an unprecedented assault on Earth...

Using warfare, or external pressure, to mitigate internal pressure is a tactic often employed by those in power.

Yes, regarding this, Wen Yu could only express his impatience.

Because Wen Yu was very idle...

The five Wen Yus residing on Earth were all quite idle.

Number 1—Wen Yu stationed in Yanjing merely spent his days eating, drinking, chatting with Old Tang, and savoring wine.

As for the remaining Wen Yus, they all hid in various places around the world, living lives akin to Ascetic Monks.

Their days passed uneventfully...

Until three weeks later, Wen Yu sent back the specific time for the next wave of attack from the Demon Realm.

...

”Right, I heard the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle is in twenty days, is that correct?”

At the moment, Wen Yu, holding the morning paper, sat in the Supreme Commander’s room, sipping tea and inquiring someone.

His manner was leisurely, seemingly unconcerned about the impending confrontation with Tang Haofei.

Because Wen Yu genuinely had confidence...

In response to Wen Yu’s question, the other person spoke.

”That’s right, the Dominator set it early on, twenty days later, a new Sequence Member-Ranking Battle will commence. By the way, this could be considered a special privilege for you and Tang Haofei.”

A deep voice resonated, Wen Yu looked up only to be nearly blinded by the dazzling golden light.

”The intelligence has leaked, and, as my informant within the Demon Tribe reported, the Demon Realm plans to launch an attack on the tiered battle ground in twenty days; it is said to be a massive offensive.”

”The timing coincides precisely with the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle.”

Upon mentioning the word ”massive,” Wen Yu sneered, seemingly indifferent to the Demon Tribe’s impending assault.

”That is not our concern; we only need to worry about the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle.”

The Golden Armor said this, likewise showing little interest in the Demon Tribe’s offensive.

Since becoming the Treasure Land Protector, Golden Armor had never seen a world with Heaven’s Pride level powerhouses fall while the Level Lock hadn’t been fully broken, let alone considering that Earth currently housed two Heaven’s Pride level powerhouses.

”I have a request; I’m not sure if the Dominator would approve.”

”Just say it, as long as it’s not excessive, the Dominator should agree; His mood has been good lately.”

”Then, I wish to change the venue for the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle.”

”No problem, actually, regarding this, I can approve it myself. Choosing the venue for the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle is part of my job, and I feel that wherever the battle takes place, it’s still a battle.”

”So, where do you plan to hold the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle?”

Upon hearing Golden Armor’s question, Wen Yu suddenly smiled...

”In the tiered battle ground main battlefield, yes, just a touch of mischief, really. I want to see how it would unfold if the Demon Tribe, upon deploying troops, stumbled directly into the center of my confrontation with Tang Haofei. That scenario should be quite amusing.”

Faced with Wen Yu’s sly smile, Golden Armor was speechless, maintaining silence for a moment before speaking.

”Well, the infrastructure might be a bit improvised; placing the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle in the wilderness, and the Dominator being present, might not reflect too well on Him.”

”Oh, solving that issue is actually quite straightforward. Within three days, I guarantee that the spot I’ve selected will host the most impressive arena currently on Earth.”

Wen Yu’s tone was assured, and upon hearing Wen Yu’s promise, Golden Armor nodded.

”Then there’s no problem.”

...

Upon Golden Armor’s confirmation, the immense entity of Yanjing immediately turned its resources on full throttle!

With machinery upon machinery being transported to the tiered battle ground main battlefield, within just two days, a vast arena had already taken shape.

Naturally, enclosing all the Demon Realm Gates on the main battlefield was impossible, but this arena was positioned precisely between the main battlefield and the farthest advanced base. Though it couldn’t achieve what Wen Yu described—to have the Demon Tribe emerging from the Demon Realm Gates standing at the center of Wen Yu and Old Tang’s duel—it did effectively block the Demon Tribe’s advance route for the offensive.

The Demon Spirit intended to launch an offensive as the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle commenced, aiming merely to entangle most powerhouses with the battle. Wen Yu, however, simply proceeded, deciding we might as well clash right at the location of the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle.

In fact, if Wen Yu and Tang Haofei stood anywhere within District 8 of the tiered battle ground, the Demon Tribe’s offensive wouldn’t even cause a ripple—they wouldn’t even survive beyond a kilometer from the Demon Realm’s Gate.

Regarding this intelligence, even Wen Yu’s thoughts, the Demon Spirit within the Demon Realm was completely aware.

Yet, the truth is, the Demon Spirit’s unprecedented attack this time genuinely didn’t aim to impart any unendurable damage to Earth’s Level Lock.

To him, there was another consideration altogether.

...

”This is a story about loyalty and belief...”

Standing by the window, gazing into the distance, the Demon Spirit spoke with a gentle tone, though his voice often carried a sense of ruthlessness.

”This isn’t called belief; it’s merely stupidity. There are always people who can’t see the situation clearly, clinging to some ridiculous stubbornness.”

Behind the Demon Spirit, a palm-sized Demon Dragon sneered coldly before following the Demon Spirit’s gaze downward.

In the distance, giant tents stood desolately, outside soldiers equipped in full armor formed an impenetrable line surrounding these tents, while inside the tents were Demon Fiends with pallid faces and anxious expressions.
