Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 1416: Chapter 58: Reinforcements

As soon as Philip issued the order, his castle, the city, and even his entire territory were fully prepared for war.

Although those below did not know who the enemy was, it did not prevent them from unwaveringly complying with Philip’s commands.

Philip, the chieftain of the Ancient Demon Tribe, has ruled the Demon Realm for countless ages, his authority and power far surpassing others — it’s only because the Demon Spirit has operated in the Demon Realm for so long that it poses a threat to Philip, otherwise, a mere Supreme Commander of the Demon Race wouldn’t qualify to leap in front of Philip!

Unexpectedly, the Demon Spirit did not sharpen its knives or make war preparations. Except for Philip and Legas’ territory, the rest of the Demon Realm remained as before, as if the recent dialogue had never occurred.

But this was merely the calm before the chaos.

…

Philip led Legas through twists and turns. Initially, Legas did not know where Philip intended to take him, but soon, after passing through three concealed Space Transfers, Legas finally recognized their destination.

Source Altar…

Where Level 10 Demon Tribe ascends to Level 11!

Including Legas, including Black River Sovereign, any Level 11 Demon Tribe, all transcend here to become true powerful experts of this world.

“Godfather, what is this for?”

Legas did not understand Philip’s purpose for coming to this place, and Philip merely shook his head. He led Legas to the altar beside it, gazed at it, and slowly spoke.

“Request for aid…”

Facing the Demon Spirit, Philip felt pressure—not fear, but concern that war with the Demon Spirit might destroy everything he had built in the Demon Realm. In Philip’s view, both sides are evenly matched, so he finds it necessary to seek external assistance.

As for where this external assistance comes from…

Besides the Demon Realm, there are two other places in this world with batches of Level 11 powerful experts!

The Treasure Land Protectors of the Dominator…

And the Demon Palace Security Bureau!

…

Legas watched as Philip cut open his wrist, accompanying the drop of purple-black Demon Blood that flowed onto the altar, moments later causing the altar to suddenly tremble.

As if something was awakening, Legas saw the altar shake more and more intensely, until after a few moments it finally settled. Legas didn’t understand why, thinking Philip’s actions were in vain, then saw Philip bow his head respectfully and speak.

“My Lord…”

A grand will began to spread, and Legas quickly realized, bowing his head hastily.

He already understood to whom this will belong.

To the Demon Tribe, the Demon Lord is their true god, their creator. At this moment, facing the Demon Lord, even just an awareness from the Demon Lord, Legas had no reason to disrespect.

“What is it?”

The will of the Demon Lord spoke, with a voice neither light nor heavy, as if pre-set, but Philip was not surprised at all. He succinctly described the situation he was facing.

“The Demon Spirit has ill intentions, your people need your help.”

After roughly describing the situation, Philip fell silent, and the Demon Lord’s awareness showed little response, only after long contemplation did it speak.

“What do you need?”

“I need reinforcements, powerful experts, helpers! The Demon Spirit harbors ill intentions, and I will uphold your will, to eradicate it completely, to affirm your divine power!”

“Very well…”

The Demon Lord said thus, then the awareness subsided.

…

On the topmost floor of the Demon Palace, perceiving the transmission of dialogue from the altar left outside with Philip, the Demon Lord pondered for a while, yet made a decision.

The Demon Spirit’s schemes may not be known to all, but the Demon Lord is indeed aware. All along, the Demon Spirit has been persuading other planetary consciousnesses to steal the roots of the Demon Realm from the Origin Pool, the Demon Lord is also mindful of these deeds.

However, facing such an enterprising theft, the Demon Lord has transitioned from initial neglect to later impotence—not wanting to control it before, now unable to control it.

More importantly, the Demon Lord has not given much thought to these affairs.

Just differing levels, you could say different aspirations, different goals.

Perhaps for the current Demon Lord, the Demon Spirit’s “Grand Plan” succeeding is, in fact, a good thing for itself.

Yet Philip’s request cannot be ignored by the Demon Lord…

After thinking for a while, the Demon Lord issued an order deep into the Demon Palace.

…

Legas, with a face full of confusion, watched the question and answer between Philip and the Demon Lord, his intuition telling him that Philip had resolved a remarkable issue, yet how it was achieved remains unknown.

“Godfather, what is this…”

Unable to resist, Legas could only voice his inquiry, and Philip simply made a gesture of silence, focusing intently on the altar in front of him.

Moments later, the altar suddenly underwent a transformation.

Specks of light suddenly emerged from the depths of the altar, the light growing more intense, followed by extremely strong Space Fluctuation!

After a short time, when the light reached its peak intensity, a Space crack suddenly appeared above the altar, and then a figure staggered out of the crack.

A towering body, pitch-black scales, four arms, all indicating to Legas that this was indeed an Ancient Demon.

The aura began to spread, the unique aura belonging to a Level 11 stirred Legas to raise an eyebrow — this unfamiliar Level 11 powerful expert, Legas had never seen before.

Before Legas could finish scrutinizing this mysterious visitor, the space rift above the altar emitted even stronger fluctuations, subsequently, one after another from the Demon Tribe emerged from the crack, crossing the realm.

Up until thirteen Level 11 Demon Tribe positioned themselves around the altar, Legas could finally breathe a sigh of relief, as he was about to voice his observation, the leading Demon Fiend spoke first.

“Greetings, Director.”

Director…

An unfamiliar title left Legas utterly bewildered, he simply watched Philip, whose expression remained unchanged, seemingly waiting for his godfather to provide some explanation.

However, Philip had no explanation to offer.

He merely nodded to the thirteen Demon Tribe, then spoke.

“Secret mission, target is this person, and their carbon copy.”

After speaking, Philip’s hand already flashed the image of the Demon Spirit.

“I’ll send you detailed information later, as always, during a secret mission, ask fewer questions and act more, understood?”

“Understood!”

Despite being Level 11 powerful experts, they showed not a hint of arrogance in front of Philip, acting like a regiment of disciplined soldiers emanating absolute compliance and discipline.

“By the way, Director Philip, the Demon Lord instructed, upon completion of this mission, you…”

A concealed transmission emitted from the aura’s strongest Ancient Demon, reached Philip’s ears, further conversation Legas couldn’t overhear, he saw Philip’s expression slightly change and nod.

“I understand.”

Philip said thus.
