Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

From the dialogue of the language team, one can see the attitudes in the lower realm of the Demon Realm towards Philip and the Demon Spirit parties.

In terms of public opinion, Philip remains strongly superior... no, vastly superior!

With just a word from Philip, even elite warrior teams like the language team were split in half, let alone the lower troops.

Philip didn’t need to do much more, he simply dismantled most of the military forces under the Demon Spirit, Oga, and others.

After this event, the entire Demon Realm seemed to undergo a mass migration. Countless warriors and civilians fled from the territories of Demon Spirit, Oga, Reyes, and even Yankelo, Black River Sovereign, into Philip’s domain.

The negative effect of this was that in recent days, within the tiered battlefield and Demon Realm’s Gate, no organized Demon Tribe armies surged in.

This made the already minimal pressure on the front lines even less—of course, that’s not the main point.

The main point remains the attitude of the Demon Tribe High-Level—after all, in these disputes, ordinary members of the Demon Tribe play no significant role! Even Wen Yu himself had to be cautious to safeguard his own life if he wanted to get involved in this level of confrontation.

Philip continues to solidify his achievements gained through the public opinion campaign, and while at a disadvantage in the public opinion battle, the Demon Spirit didn’t keep anyone waiting for long.

He chose the quickest, most brutal method!

...

On the third day after Yankelo was captured.

The weather was clear, sunny, and bright. Although using ”sunny and bright” to describe the weather in the Demon Realm isn’t quite appropriate, today’s weather was indeed pleasant.

Ostgard, the core city of the Demon Realm, the largest city, and also Philip’s main city.

Controlling the public opinion ferment, easily dismantling most of the military forces under the Demon Spirit, this was an unprecedented experience for Philip as well.

There was much internal strife in the Demon Realm, but due to Philip’s suppression, such internal strife often manifested as direct conflict—as with that time between Legas and Black River Sovereign.

The two sides would get into a fray without delay, fighting to the death. So tactics like a public opinion weapon, Philip had never really used before, and this incidental move brought Philip results beyond imagination.

”Godfather, I feel like if we just hold on like this, the Demon Spirit won’t last long. I can’t believe it, without people and resources, what waves can the Demon Spirit create!”

Legas’s tone was full of schadenfreude, as he seemed to believe the situation was already settled—it’s not surprising he thought so. Once this public opinion completely fermented, with the Demon Tribe undergoing a new consolidation, Philip would still be the same Philip as before, and the Demon Tribe would remain unchanged, except for the loss of powerful experts like the Demon Spirit. However, in Legas’s view, this impact wasn’t significant.

The once disjointed topmost 7-member council of the Demon Clan Army wasn’t united, and this rupture would cause waves, but once it calms down, the world would continue to spin as usual.

To this, Philip merely shook his head, quietly gazing into the distance until he spoke.

”Legas, I want to ask you for a favor.”

”Don’t say it’s a favor, you are my godfather. Whatever you ask of your son, it’s only right.”

Legas said with a wide smile, his ugly face wrinkling like a chrysanthemum, resembling a loyal old dog.

In Legas’s logical thinking, it was very likely that Philip could defeat the Demon Spirit and regain control of everything on the surface Demon Tribe. In this situation, without the Demon Spirit, Oga, and others, what would become of himself?

If he served this master well, he would become second to none! These upheavals were more of an opportunity for promotion and a raise for Legas...

”I want you to take our captives to this location.”

Philip said this, then lightly tapped his finger on Legas’s forehead. Accompanied by an influx of spiritual energy, a map clearly appeared before Legas.

”Desolate Border...”

This name wasn’t particularly friendly to Legas.

It was at the Desolate Border that he had met Wen Yu, and all these changes began from there.

At this moment, Legas even wondered if Wen Yu had already extended his hand to Philip, but Philip’s next words made Legas realize he was overthinking it.

”Here, is where I have hidden a retreat path, a retreat to the Demon Palace... When you get there, someone will meet you and take you, along with our captives, to the Demon Palace.”

Legas was initially baffled, but quickly understood.

This was Philip transferring war spoils, which, interpreted from another perspective, could be called losing nerve before the battle.

His godfather didn’t have much hope for this war with the Demon Spirit!

Legas looked up, just about to say something, only to see Philip frowning at him coldly.

”I just want to ask you, can you do it, say nothing else.”

Legas hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded.

...

Escorting captives was inherently a simple task.

Legas took four spheres from Philip, within which Yankelo and three others were sealed. He placed the spheres into the space equipment, nodded lightly at Philip, and then neatly took his leave.

He walked out of the castle like this, concealed in the bustling crowd of Ostgard, hurriedly leaving Ostgard, then gradually picked up pace, rushing towards the location marked by Philip.

Yet this speed didn’t last long before, in the direction Legas had come, dozens of furious auras shot skyward behind him. Legas suddenly turned back to look at Ostgard.

At this moment, he finally understood what the Demon Spirit was relying on.

...

Violence, oftentimes, isn’t the best means of problem-solving, but it’s definitely the fastest.

In three days, the Demon Spirit endured the massive public opinion and the tragic collapse of his subordinates, but this wasn’t acceptance of fate, it was only the accumulation before the outbreak.

In a mere three days, the Demon Spirit awakened a total of seventy-eight carbon copies and secretly joined forces with Oga, Reyes, and others. Once everything was ready, the Demon Spirit didn’t even mobilize his meager army, he merely charged towards Ostgard with over eighty carbon copies!

The absolute advantage in power made the Demon Spirit’s current strategy bold and unconstrained!

In fact, he indeed had nothing much to fear anymore.

He didn’t need to heed public opinion; he simply needed to annihilate all who wouldn’t comply to achieve his own objectives.

And the first to be targeted by the Demon Spirit was naturally the former number one in the Demon Realm, celebrated as the King without a crown, chairman of the Topmost 7-Member Council of the Demon Army, and the one most openly defiant... Philip.
