Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The Drunken Taoist angrily denounced, but only received a sigh from the Almighty Immortal Emperor in return.

Looking at the disheveled and desperate Almighty Immortal Emperor before him, and recalling the once spirited and awe-inspiring figure he was, the anger in the heart of the Drunken Taoist slightly subsided, and he spoke with deep sincerity and concern: ”Tongtian, elder brother, what exactly happened, what did you see, what do you know, you can tell us. Why not work together like before?”

The Almighty Immortal Emperor only shook his head, then stood up as if he had made some kind of decision, his gaze gradually becoming firm.

”The future path of the Universe of Immortals and Heroes, I leave it all to you. Do as you please with it. Heavenly Dao, come with me!”

”Elder brother! Elder brother!!!”

Behind him, the angry and sorrowful voice of the Drunken Taoist gradually faded away…

...

”Master...”

”Call me father.”

”...Father...what in the world happened…what exactly occurred?”

”The specifics, I inscribed on the murals on the eleventh floor of the Heavenly Palace. There is a seal I placed there, but I cannot speak of these things.”

After saying this, the Almighty Immortal Emperor meaningfully glanced upwards.

Heavenly Dao suddenly realized, and Wen Yu’s heart sank…

The Almighty Immortal Emperor was placed under a gag order by the Dominator!

Wen Yu could not understand what the Dominator would use to threaten the Almighty Immortal Emperor in such a situation, but judging from the present circumstances, where the Almighty Immortal Emperor appeared like an outsider, unwilling to speak, and even insisting on using murals to leave the truth, it seemed that the Dominator’s threat was indeed powerful!

Before Wen Yu could think further, the Almighty Immortal Emperor continued to speak.

”I’ll remind you again, never become Sequence Number 1! And then…”

”Before you become Sequence Number 1, never look at the content on the murals.”

His words ended here…

Within what appeared to be a deadlock of conditions lay unspoken resignation, and the Almighty Immortal Emperor’s final protection of Heavenly Dao…

After a long silence, the Almighty Immortal Emperor changed the subject.

”I do not know whether the actions of the Drunken Taoist are right or wrong, nor do I know if the Dominator can preserve a spark of life for the Universe of Immortals and Heroes…”

After speaking, the Almighty Immortal Emperor shook his head self-deprecatingly: ”Perhaps not…”

”I can no longer concern myself with these matters, I summoned you here to make one final arrangement!”

Saying this, the Almighty Immortal Emperor led Heavenly Dao into the deeper recesses of the Heavenly Palace.

...

Walking along the hall where the Almighty Immortal Emperor secluded himself for meditation, his deep voice echoed by Heavenly Dao’s side, and also entered Wen Yu’s heart.

”This period of meditative seclusion was not for consolidating my strength; in truth, my current strength has already reached its peak, with no room for further improvement…”

Saying this, the Almighty Immortal Emperor let out a self-mocking laugh.

”Over these years in seclusion, I’ve been contemplating one thing…”

Then followed silence, until the Almighty Immortal Emperor led Heavenly Dao to stand in front of a small door deep within the hall.

”I am considering whether there is a way to send you away, to escape from this destined-to-fall world.”

After these words, the Almighty Immortal Emperor formed a hand seal, and the small door shone brightly.

”This is my achievement, another dimensional space beyond the Universe of Immortals and Heroes, I call it Outer Space. Ancient God Palace…”

Upon saying this, the Almighty Immortal Emperor’s lips curled into a faint smile, looking towards Heavenly Dao.

”However, this plan did not succeed; the Ancient God Palace still lacks the ability to escape the Dominator’s control, so during this time, I have connected with another entity and devised a different plan.”

”Heavenly Dao, my child, now, let me ask you, would you be willing, for my sake, to give up everything…”

Heavenly Dao remained silent, but after a moment, resolutely nodded.

”Good!”

The Almighty Immortal Emperor let out a hearty laugh, appearing more spirited at this moment.

”The specific plan is placed within the Ancient God Palace. After you enter, discover it for yourself; for now, I will teach you how to open the Ancient God Palace.”

After speaking, the Almighty Immortal Emperor retrieved something from the space ring.

Wen Yu focused on looking.

...

The object that appeared in the Almighty Immortal Emperor’s hand was an ancient bronze key, no larger than a palm, with no intricate patterns, looking like just any key to an ordinary house in the Universe of Immortals and Heroes.

However, at the moment of seeing this key, Wen Yu’s eyes flickered with a momentary change.

The voice of the Almighty Immortal Emperor came through.

”The key is one aspect; next is the spiritual fluctuation and Soul Mark needed to activate this key.”

After speaking, the Almighty Immortal Emperor immediately explained in detail the process of activating the key to Heavenly Dao, no, it seemed more like it was being told to Wen Yu, meticulously covering every detail, every step, even to the frequency of each spiritual fluctuation, he explained several times over.

When everything was finalized, the Almighty Immortal Emperor at last activated the key.

The light within the small door gradually merged into the key until the small door completely disappeared, while a radiant light briefly shone from the key before it gradually faded, and the Almighty Immortal Emperor finally let out a long breath.

”Let it be…”

The somewhat weary tone of the Almighty Immortal Emperor announced the end of this father-son conversation.

However, Heavenly Dao did not expect that this would be the last conversation between him and his father…

...

The scene fast-forwards once more, and Wen Yu witnessed Heavenly Dao entering the Ancient God Palace, surrounded by mist in the not-so-large space, at the center of which, a classic little pavilion with carved dragons and phoenixes, stood out.

Wen Yu saw Heavenly Dao enter the small pavilion, pick up a dim light sphere on the table, and absorb the information contained within it.

The specific content, of course, Wen Yu could not know, and then Heavenly Dao immediately teleported out of the Ancient God Palace, directly announcing meditative seclusion.

And then, the lifeless expanse within the seclusion stone hall…

This lifelessness persisted until an enormous sonic boom exploded above…

...

In the haze, Heavenly Dao seemed to hear the desperate roar of the Almighty Immortal Emperor from above: ”Dominator! Dominator!!!”

The connection through the bloodline slowly weakened, and simultaneously, a profound sense of sorrow uncontrollably overflowed from his heart.

A knock resounded, and a terrified voice came in from outside.

”Lord Heavenly Dao, the Immortal Emperor is dead, killed by the Dominator…”

Though anticipated, the situation still caused Heavenly Dao’s heart to stir violently. Wen Yu could see the despair and rage, which was then replaced by sorrow, and ultimately transformed into calmness on Heavenly Dao’s face.

”Understood…”
