Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The wish of the Heavenly Dao is simple and unpretentious.

He just wants to walk around the world he guarded with his life with his father.

Two figures traversed the mountains and rivers of the Universe of Immortals and Heroes on foot, sailing together, climbing peaks together, watching the sunrise and sunset together...

The mark from the bloodline slowly deepens, the distance between hearts gradually closes, knowing clearly that the person beside you is the most important one to you, yet both remain silent about the last layer of hindrance.

Once again, the scene fast-forwards, and three years have passed in an instant...

...

Still in the familiar small meeting room, Tongtian and the other three gathered once more, however, this time the discussion wasn’t as bloody and brutal as before.

At this moment, the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance had already become the most powerful organization in the Universe of Immortals and Heroes, exercising government-like rights—three short years are not enough to restore pre-war prosperity to the Universe of Immortals and Heroes.

Throughout countless years of battle, the scars left by the Demon Tribe on this world are numerous and heavy, post-war recuperation may require several generations...

”Regarding the new round of land distribution, let’s follow Da Luo’s suggestion.”

Tongtian, seated at the head, issued command after command.

”Master, there is an issue I need to report.”

”What is it?”

”Concerning the Exchange Stone Pillars still remaining in the Universe of Immortals and Heroes, I think, since the war is over, these remaining pillars are unnecessary. I believe we should deal with this issue.”

Since ancient times, heroes transgress through valor in wartime, the use of Exchange Stone Pillars is undoubtedly significant, yet when peace arrives, this simple method of gaining power might trigger a series of consequences—the Human Race of Universe of Immortals and Heroes engages in widespread slaughter of other races solely for insignificant points and their greed. This is not the situation the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance wishes to see.

Tongtian remained silent for a while, then nodded: ”I’ll ask Dominator later, to see if Dominator can remove the Exchange Stone Pillars.”

Upon hearing this, Heavenly Dao hesitated to speak.

It was the Drunken Taoist who muttered, indistinctly: ”Dominator should agree, right? I saw Treasure Land Protector Number 1 a while back, that guy said Dominator is ready to leave, perhaps Dominator also thinks the war is over...”

The simple comment did not spark suspicion among those present, and soon, the meeting concluded.

Heavenly Dao watched as Tongtian Immortal Emperor turned to light and departed, followed by waiting...

And this wait lasted over ten years!

...

In the span of more than ten years, the Exchange Stone Pillars did not disappear, but instead, mysteriously weakened the seal trapping the Demon Realm’s Gate.

The scene quickly shifted, through Heavenly Dao’s perspective, Wen Yu faintly heard some chaotic voices.

”Where is Tongtian Immortal Emperor? Why is the seal on the Demon Realm’s Gate growing weaker?”

”Strengthen the seal, strengthen the seal!”

”The seal on the Demon Realm’s Gate on the West Forest Continent has been breached! Where in the world is Tongtian Immortal Emperor?”

”Sir, the Demon Tribe… the Demon Tribe has returned…”

War ignites once more, yet without Tongtian Immortal Emperor, the Universe of Immortals and Heroes plummets into chaos!

The returned Demon Tribe is larger and stronger, under the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance’s organization, the second war spectacularly erupts, and the war situation collapses at a faster pace!

Until the horizon, a blaze resembling the sun rises again…

Tongtian Immortal Emperor returns to the Universe of Immortals and Heroes at its most perilous moment!

...

”Why, big brother, why did you suddenly vanish, why does the seal on the Demon Realm’s Gate gradually disappear…”

The Drunken Taoist’s voice rings out questioning; after a moment, Tongtian Immortal Emperor’s slightly weak voice replied.

”Wrong, we were wrong from the very beginning!!!”

”Wrong? What was wrong?”

”Enemies! We misunderstood who our enemies were…”

The fuzzy scene slowly cleared, in a spacious hall, Tongtian Immortal Emperor sat high on a massive dragon chair, his pure golden battle armor stained with blood, even though his facial expression was obscured, Wen Yu could sense the despair and collapse from Tongtian Immortal Emperor.

Below, the Drunken Taoist, perhaps noticing Tongtian Immortal Emperor’s current mood, slowly softened his tone: ”What on earth happened?”

After a long silence, Tongtian Immortal Emperor slowly shook his head.

”I simply discovered the truth…”

”After all…”

The Drunken Taoist’s inquiries were interrupted by a wave of Tongtian Immortal Emperor’s hand, afterwards, Tongtian Immortal Emperor looked at the individuals standing at the peak of the entire Universe of Immortals and Heroes—Drunken Taoist, Heavenly Dao, and Da Luo—and decisively issued the final order.

”Notify all beings in the Universe of Immortals and Heroes, tell them the universe has reached its end, has come to the road’s conclusion, from now on, launch the war mobilization, from elders to children, all should prepare for the final battle!”

”But, big brother, hasn’t the war already ended?”

”Ended? The war ended long ago! We were deceived by the Dominator! From the moment Exchange Stone Pillars appeared, our Universe of Immortals and Heroes was already defeated!”

”Alas…”

The Drunken Taoist let out a long sigh, and then spoke no more, while at the side, Tongtian Immortal Emperor transmitted a spiritual fluctuation to Heavenly Dao, indicating for Heavenly Dao to accompany him to the rear garden.

...

”Master, what exactly is this…”

In the environment with only two, Heavenly Dao couldn’t help but inquire.

Tongtian shook his head, not answering Heavenly Dao’s question directly, but instead talked about other matters.

”Do you know what I regret most in this lifetime?”

The tone was filled with sorrow, revealing a sense of nearing life’s end, leaving Heavenly Dao in silence.

”First, I didn’t nurture my paternal responsibilities; I didn’t provide you with a complete family, a wonderful childhood… I failed you…”

Wen Yu could feel Tongtian Immortal Emperor’s mournful tone causing Heavenly Dao’s mindset to fluctuate momentarily.

However, the brief fluctuation was interrupted by Tongtian Immortal Emperor’s subsequent instructions.

”Second, I ascended to the Sequence Number 1 position of the Universe of Immortals and Heroes! Heavenly Dao, remember my words! Never become Sequence Number 1! That title, even if Dominator hands it to you, don’t accept it; it’s better to die than to take that position, understand?”

Without waiting for any reaction from Heavenly Dao, Tongtian immediately looked up at the sky above, then his tone abruptly quickened.

”There’s little time left, now, I’ll send you to the world’s core, retrieve a portion of Origin Energy, elevate your strength to Level 11, then… live as long as you can…”
