Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Within the Netherworld’s sphere of influence, Wen Yu was akin to a deity of this realm!

No, that’s not quite accurate—at least here, where my absolute power is weaker than others’, I don’t have control over everything.

However, observing the movements of every person within the Netherworld was quite simple.

When Luo Hai’s squad accelerated abruptly, Wen Yu had already detected their intentions.

His mental state was more focused than ever before. Through the Netherworld, Wen Yu rapidly observed the footsteps, speed, heartbeats, and even blood flow of each of the seven remaining members in Luo Hai’s squad.

After a while, Wen Yu obtained the information he wanted.

Grabbing a bewildered Tang Haofei, Wen Yu activated teleportation once again.

In the blink of an eye, Wen Yu and Tang Haofei appeared elsewhere. Consequently, the Netherworld also shifted—this ability was centered on its host. If Wen Yu moved, the Netherworld naturally followed.

With this movement, the Netherworld directly covered another squad—Wu Long’s squad, which was closely trailing Luo Hai’s squad. The two squads were not far apart.

The next second, the Netherworld’s teleportation ability activated once more.

When the Netherworld enveloped him, Wu Long immediately furrowed his brows.

His powerful Perception Ability even allowed him to detect the Netherworld’s presence.

However, before Wu Long could react, a figure materialized before his eyes—a shiny bald head and a physique a size smaller than his own.

Wu Long knew this person all too well; it was his target, Mu Qing, the strongest member of Luo Hai’s squad.

Mu Qing himself was disoriented by the Netherworld’s teleportation. For a moment, Wu Long’s squad and Mu Qing—five people in total—stared blankly at each other, unsure how to react.

Wen Yu once again provided the answer.

WHOOSH!

A bizarre Energy Fluctuation erupted again, and Wu Long’s imposing figure vanished into thin air.

Licking his lips subtly, Mu Qing slowly clenched his fists. My squad is Wu Long’s squad’s target. With less than ten meters between us, I can’t avoid this fight! More importantly, Wu Long is gone! I can definitely take on three of them! As for where Wu Long went… I don’t want to guess. I know both our strengths very well; Wu Long must be like a tiger among sheep right now…

Seeing Mu Qing, who was running ahead of him, disappear in an instant, Luo Hai’s heart trembled.

Remembering Wu Long’s squad trailing close behind, a bad premonition immediately surfaced in Luo Hai’s mind.

However, bad premonitions always seem to come true. When an even more formidable figure appeared in the center of his own squad, Luo Hai was so furious he wanted to curse.

This damn skill is completely unfair!

But complaining wouldn’t solve the problem. The moment Luo Hai saw Wu Long, he immediately issued an order, ”Cloud, hold up Wu Long! Everyone else, keep moving forward!”

The girl known as Cloud—also the second strongest in the squad—visibly paled.

Hold up Wu Long myself… This command is a suicide mission!

However, the years of militaristic discipline and obedience to orders in the Universe of Immortals and Heroes triggered an instinctive reaction from Cloud.

A cluster of emerald green vines abruptly rose from the earth. The vines spread rapidly, then, with lightning speed, coiled around Wu Long’s legs.

Luo Hai gave Cloud, whose expression was gradually hardening with resolve, a deep look and a slight nod. He then continued to charge towards Wen Yu’s location without pause.

Luo Hai’s squad now had five members remaining.

SPURT!

A stream of blood sprayed from Wen Yu’s mouth.

When Wen Yu teleported Wu Long into the middle of Luo Hai’s squad, he felt an unprecedentedly strong pressure feedback from the Netherworld. Teleportation consumed energy, and the energy required to teleport a powerful expert was almost immeasurable.

Even with the enhancements from Ultra Mortal Combat and Dragon Blood Amplification, all of Wen Yu’s stamina was drained in an instant.

”COUGH, COUGH, COUGH... This monster...” he mumbled incoherently. Wen Yu quickly rummaged through his space ring, took out a handful of elixir pills, and swallowed them whole.

”Carry me and run to the right! Quick!” Wen Yu ordered.

Although Wen Yu’s recent series of actions had bewildered Tang Haofei, his familiarity with Wen Yu’s abilities allowed him to roughly guess what Wen Yu was up to. Upon hearing Wen Yu’s command, Tang Haofei didn’t hesitate. He scooped up Wen Yu and sprinted in the direction Wen Yu indicated.

Behind them, Luo Hai’s group of five was rapidly closing in.

The elixir pills from the Universe of Immortals and Heroes were of guaranteed quality.

In a short time, Wen Yu had already regained nearly a third of his stamina.

After reactivating the Netherworld, which had automatically shut down due to his complete loss of stamina, Wen Yu immediately began observing everyone’s movements within it.

However, now that he had regained control of the overall situation, Wen Yu instantly noticed something amiss.

In the distance, three members of Luo Hai’s squad were rushing straight towards his location. However, Luo Hai and one other member of his squad had completely vanished.

Before Wen Yu could observe further, a massive Energy Fluctuation suddenly erupted above him.

The next second, Luo Hai and his other squad member fell straight down from the sky.

Flash of Spirit (S-class, Active Skill): Designate a living being. After obtaining the being’s consent, the caster and the target teleport a certain distance together. The stamina consumed is shared by both.

This ability, a pinpoint teleportation skill, belonged to the person with Luo Hai. In past battles, this ability, combined with Mu Qing’s exceptional personal strength, was often used for Decapitation Strategies.

Bringing Luo Hai along this time… Well, although Luo Hai’s strength was not comparable to Mu Qing’s, considering Wen Yu’s current state, the term ”decapitate” seemed quite fitting.

Seeing Luo Hai and the other person falling right above him, Wen Yu reacted instantly.

First, he activated the Netherworld and teleported the strongest of the three pursuers behind him to the demon fiend patrol squad, whose battle was on the verge of concluding.

Second, Wen Yu consumed another Esoteric Level elixir pill to restore his stamina.

Finally, using his remaining stamina, he instantly activated a skill. Wen Yu transformed into a streak of Black Light and shot towards Luo Hai, who was still in mid-air.

”Soul Battlefield!”

It’s just a 2v2, isn’t it? With Soul Battlefield and Tang Haofei, I’m not at a disadvantage at all right now!
