You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

148: Section 148Plagiarism and poaching have always been one of Penguin Group’s important methods, and he didn’t even notice that he had poached people from so many companies.

And Wang Mo’s voice continued to ring out.

”And if I remember correctly.”

”Even if we hadn’t contacted Zhou Qiang, your Penguin department was already considering whether or not to fire him.”

”In that case, what’s the difference between us directly poaching him and waiting until he’s fired by you before contacting him?”

”Oh, I forgot to mention one more thing.”

Wang Mo looked down at the audience.

”At that time, I had long since taken a liking to Zhou Qiang through the game he developed as a university student, so that day, I directly had the head of the Douyin department, who is also the Vice President of our Junzi Group, personally go to him.”

”Our sincerity is much stronger than Penguin Group only sending a headhunter to poach people.”

Listening to Wang Mo’s words.

General Manager Xiao Ma’s expression changed again, and murmurs rose from the audience.

One company was about to fire this person, while the other directly sent a Vice President to invite him; the difference between the two was like heaven and earth.

From Zhou Qiang’s perspective.

Junzi Group’s vision was indeed far superior.

And the host’s voice finally rang out again.

”I never expected such a connection between the Honor of Kings Person in charge and Penguin.”

”Since General Manager Wang has now answered General Manager Xiao Ma’s question, may I ask General Manager Xiao Ma a question that many people find strange right now?”

”Go ahead.”

General Manager Xiao Ma nodded.

And the host also looked at the script in his hand again.

”We all know.”

”If two similar types of software have no differentiation, then in the end, almost only one can remain.”

”Previously, Dota Mobile was already declared dead by many, and Penguin internally even abandoned it for a time.”

”But why.”

”A few days ago, Penguin Group started investing a large amount of money in Dota Mobile again?”

Listening to this question.

General Manager Xiao Ma directly sneered.

”I just said that Dota Mobile still has tens of millions of daily active users and hasn’t shut down, so how can it be described as being declared dead?”

”Our Penguin Group has never abandoned Dota Mobile.”

”I can even say this.”

General Manager Xiao Ma looked down at the audience, his expression serious.

”I can guarantee that Dota Mobile will definitely not die!”

Upon hearing this, the audience immediately burst into an uproar.

Because many internet tycoons knew that, under the current circumstances, the death of Dota Mobile was almost only a matter of time, but General Manager Xiao Ma said such a bold statement.

”General Manager Xiao Ma, please don’t joke around.”

”Everyone knows that Dota Mobile’s user base is rapidly declining.”

”I’m afraid it won’t be long before the remaining number of users of Dota Mobile will no longer be able to support server operations.”

”How can you revive a mobile game that is almost certainly dead? There has never been such a miracle in the global gaming industry.”

Pig Factory Chairman Ding’s voice rang out from the audience.

And his meaning was actually agreed upon by most of the internet tycoons present.

And listening to Chairman Ding’s voice, General Manager Xiao Ma smiled.

”You don’t need to worry about that.”

”I can only tell you this.”

”One month later, Dota Mobile will launch a huge update.”

”After that, Dota Mobile’s users will not only stop declining but will even continue to grow.”

”No matter what offensive Honor of Kings launches afterward, it will absolutely not be able to shake Dota Mobile. Dota Mobile will be able to firmly establish itself in Yan Country.”

”Given it some more time, its user base might even catch up with Honor of Kings again.”

”And only our Penguin Group can achieve such a miracle.”

General Manager Xiao Ma’s tone was quite confident, but hardly anyone in the audience believed him.

”General Manager Xiao Ma, please don’t joke around.”

”Chairman Ding, want to make a bet?”

”Come on, how do you want to bet?”

”How about this.”

General Manager Xiao Ma thought for a moment.

”After Dota’s next update, if Dota Mobile’s user count can maintain growth for one month, you give me 100 million, otherwise I’ll give you 100 million.”

”Alright, it’s settled then.”

Because internet gambling is not uncommon, for example, Lei Mi and Dong Zhu’s one billion bet is very famous, so other people in the audience didn’t feel there was any problem.

However, at this moment, Wang Mo looked at General Manager Xiao Ma and said softly.

”I do hope General Manager Ma won’t be so arrogant. Dota Mobile can really be abandoned, otherwise, I’m afraid the consequences are truly not something your Penguin Empire can bear.”

”What, are you scared?” General Manager Xiao Ma smiled.

But Wang Mo slowly shook his head.

”Since General Manager Ma doesn’t believe it.”

”Then we’ll see.”

Chapter 98: Dota Launches Social Features, Penguin’s Self-Destructive Move.

Listening to Wang Mo’s words, General Manager Xiao Ma didn’t take them seriously at all.

In his opinion.

Wang Mo didn’t even know what they were going to do next, so how could he pose a threat to Penguin Group?

After deeply understanding the social features proposed by Ma Liuyun in the past two days, he increasingly felt that this time, Dota Mobile might really be able to create a miracle.

And as the interaction between General Manager Xiao Ma and Chairman Ding concluded.

This year’s Internet Conference.

Came to an end with the bet between General Manager Xiao Ma and Chairman Ding.

And as expected.

After the conference ended, General Manager Xiao Ma’s speech and his bet with Chairman Ding directly attracted attention from the entire network.

The exposure of the Honor of Kings Person in charge’s identity also caused quite a stir online.

For a time.

The top three weibo hot search entries all became information related to this Internet Conference.

One was General Manager Xiao Ma and Chairman Ding’s bet, one was the shock brought by Zhou Qiang’s identity exposure, and the last was General Manager Xiao Ma’s confidence in Dota Mobile and the update that would be launched a month later.

Under each hot search, there were a large number of comments.

”This Internet Conference was so interesting, it actually directly spawned three hot searches.”

”When the Honor of Kings Person in charge stood up, I saw the faces of several high-ranking officials from Penguin Group turn dark, it was hilarious.”

”General Manager Xiao Ma’s 100 million is definitely a guaranteed loss, how could Dota Mobile possibly be revived?”

”Actually, not necessarily, it’s Penguin after all. Let’s wait and see what Dota Mobile will update in a month.”

”I was going to uninstall Dota Mobile, but now it seems I can wait. I also want to see where General Manager Xiao Ma’s confidence comes from.”

Three hot searches.

The most attention was undoubtedly given to General Manager Xiao Ma’s prophecy about Dota Mobile.

Many players and users wanted to know.

At this point in time, when Dota Mobile had almost been declared dead, what method could Dota Mobile possibly use to turn the tide?

Even going so far as to have General Manager Xiao Ma publicly announce this information a month in advance and make a bet with Chairman Ding.
