You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

146: Section 146“But the failure of Dota Mobile.”

“Mr. Ma, where do you think you lost?”

Mr. Ma picked up the microphone, glanced at the host, and then pondered for a moment.

“No man is a saint, and even a horse can stumble.”

“Since Penguin Group was established so many years ago, there have been quite a few failed cases.”

“Moreover, Dota Mobile currently has tens of millions of daily active users and hasn’t shut down yet, so how can you use the word ’failure’?”

“The final outcome of MOBA mobile games is still uncertain.”

Hearing this, the host was about to say something.

Mr. Ma’s voice continued to ring out.

“Rather than discussing Dota Mobile,”

“Let’s talk about Honor of Kings.”

“Actually, from the moment Honor of Kings was launched, I was curious: Junzi Group had never been involved in the gaming industry before, so how could it achieve such great success on its first foray into game development?”

Mr. Ma looked at Wang Mo.

“Such a business case, let alone in Yan Country, can be called a miracle even globally.”

“I wonder how Mr. Wang achieved all of this.”

What Mr. Ma said was indeed true; he genuinely wanted to understand the reason.

Even if Wang Mo had foresight and could discover the potential Yan Country mobile game player base, and could also know about simple MOBA mobile games that could attract a large number of users.

However, relying solely on such foresight and market control, developing an ideal game is still quite difficult.

Leaving aside other things,

Just considering the balance of various values in MOBA games and design in other aspects, it’s not something an ordinary person can achieve.

Without a powerful lead programmer in gaming, even a game couldn’t be developed in a short period.

But the top-tier game lead programmers are basically all at Penguin and Pig Factory, which is why Mr. Ma was so curious about where Wang Mo found such talent.

After Mr. Ma finished speaking, many other people in the audience also turned their gaze towards Wang Mo.

They also wanted to know the answer to this question.

Facing Mr. Ma’s inquiry, Wang Mo smiled.

“Regarding this matter,”

“I still have to thank Penguin.”

Chapter 97: Zhou Qiang’s identity exposed, regretful Penguin Group!

Listening to the words that came from Wang Mo’s mouth,

Everyone present was stunned for a moment.

Even many viewers watching the live broadcast were instantly confused.

Immediately, large streams of bullet comments appeared in various live broadcast rooms.

“What does Mr. Wang mean?”

“If I haven’t misunderstood, Mr. Wang’s meaning should be that he has to thank Penguin for the development of Honor of Kings.”

“Why is that? Why is Honor of Kings related to Penguin?”

“Interesting, interesting. It seems there’s some information here that we don’t know.”

“Not just us, look at Mr. Ma, he’s also full of question marks right now.”

“I know a little about the gaming industry. The aspect Mr. Wang mentioned should be related to the game’s lead programmer. This level of game programmer is usually at Penguin or Pig Factory.”

At this moment,

At the Wu Town Internet Conference,

After Wang Mo finished speaking, the host also couldn’t help but ask,

“I wonder if Mr. Wang could explain in more detail.”

“Why do you need to thank Penguin for the Honor of Kings project?”

Wang Mo took a deep breath.

Then he slowly picked up the microphone and began to speak.

“Although I was responsible for most of the code structure for Honor of Kings, this is only the initial stage of game development.”

“If I were the only one responsible for all the code and value adjustments in the Honor of Kings project, then Honor of Kings probably wouldn’t be finished developing by now.”

“To design a large game like Honor of Kings, there must be a lead programmer who can coordinate the content of various systems and perform value adjustments.”

“And to realize my ideas for certain systems in Honor of Kings, I also need someone with strong execution to help me.”

“Everyone should be very clear about this, right?”

Wang Mo looked at the others.

Both the host and Mr. Ma nodded.

“What does this have to do with you thanking me?”

Mr. Ma couldn’t help but ask.

And Wang Mo smiled.

“I just said that if I were the only one responsible for the Honor of Kings project, then Honor of Kings probably wouldn’t be fully developed by now.”

“The reason Honor of Kings was successfully developed in such a short time, with all its systems nearing perfection, and its heroes and equipment values extremely balanced, is because I found a capable assistant when developing Honor of Kings.”

“Everyone,”

Wang Mo stood up and pointed in a certain direction.

“Allow me to introduce you.”

“This person,”

“Is the current head of the Honor of Kings department, and also the lead programmer during the development of Honor of Kings.”

“Zhou Qiang.”

As Wang Mo’s words fell, Zhou Qiang slowly stood up from his seat.

He was a bit stunned at the moment, not expecting Wang Mo to call him out.

However, he still turned and greeted everyone.

For a moment,

The spotlight in the conference hall shone directly on him.

Applause began to erupt throughout the Internet Conference.

The lead programmer and head who could lead the development of a game like Honor of Kings must be extremely capable.

After all, this person,

Directly caused Honor of Kings to defeat Penguin’s core gaming project.

Although most of the credit certainly belonged to Wang Mo, this person must have also played a significant role.

What no one noticed was that,

In a certain corner, Zheng Haidi, who had come to the conference with Ma Liuyun and Mr. Ma, instantly changed his expression and turned pale after seeing Zhou Qiang’s figure.

He never imagined that,

The person in charge of Honor of Kings was him!

Hearing Zhou Qiang’s name, Mr. Ma also frowned.

He vaguely felt that he should have heard these two words before, but he couldn’t recall them.

“It’s unexpected that besides Mr. Wang, the head of Junzi Group’s Honor of Kings project is also so young and promising.”

“I just don’t know,”

“Does this person have anything to do with you wanting to thank Penguin Group?”

The host’s puzzled voice rang out on the stage.

And Wang Mo smiled, looking at Mr. Ma.

“Mr. Ma, haven’t you recognized this person yet?”

Mr. Ma shook his head, then looked at the location where several high-level executives of Penguin Group were seated.

“Have any of you met this person before?”

Facing Mr. Ma’s gaze,

Ma Liuyun and several high-level executives all shook their heads.
