You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

114: Section 114If the number of skins purchased at one time exceeds five, you can enjoy a 60% discount on top of the membership discount; if it exceeds ten, you can enjoy a 70% discount!

As soon as this news came out, it immediately became a trending topic.

Everyone could see it.

To suppress Honor of Kings’ daily revenue on that day, Dota Mobile had basically gone crazy.

At this moment.

Almost all external attention was focused on the two games.

Everyone wanted to see who would break the revenue record for that day.

Chapter 84: Public Revenue Data! The Shocked Penguin Group!

”Is Dota Mobile hacked or has it gone crazy? There’s even a minimum 70% discount.”

”Penguin has really changed this time, are they that generous?”

”I can’t take it anymore. As someone who plays both games now, I don’t even know where to spend money.”

”Honor of Kings is still more attractive to me. The 70% discount on Dota requires buying more skins.”

”But this time, it looks like Dota Mobile should break the record again!”

After Dota Mobile announced its latest event.

It immediately sparked widespread discussion and attention.

It is now basically certain.

Both of these games should be able to break the previous 150 million single-day revenue record set by Dota Mobile.

It’s just unclear who the ultimate winner will be.

And in this highly anticipated situation.

Time quickly flowed forward.

Most Honor of Kings players basically purchased the War Order pass.

After all, the pass was simply too cost-effective, a type that had never appeared in any previous game.

Although it would take a considerable amount of time to fully claim the rewards from the pass, requiring continuous completion of pass missions.

But for players who already log in and play the game daily.

Completing these activity missions was a piece of cake.

Besides the War Order.

Many wealthy Honor of Kings players also did not hesitate to invest in Glory Draw.

Originally, many wealthy players didn’t understand what Honor of Kings’ Draw event meant before, and weren’t interested in it.

However.

When they saw information about the Draw event on trending searches, they couldn’t resist.

Skins that could represent strength and wealth were these people’s favorite.

Furthermore.

Almost all Honor of Kings game streamers conducted live lucky draws on that day.

Among them.

There were also many people who drew crystals without spending much money.

Of course, there were also many players who spent a lot of money but drew nothing. The various furious actions of these streamers in their live broadcasts also brought about a great live broadcast effect.

Some streamers even contacted Honor of Kings, hoping to lower their drawing odds so that they could fail to draw various items during live broadcasts and then feign anger, thereby bringing huge live broadcast effects.

However, Honor of Kings did not respond to any of these streamers who contacted them.

But it is undeniable that.

These Honor of Kings streamers also brought great popularity to Honor of Kings’ open beta event on that day.

Besides Honor of Kings.

The attention on Dota Mobile was also not to be underestimated.

Because this time, Dota Mobile’s skin discount was the greatest in Penguin Games’ history.

So this time.

It even attracted many players from other Penguin Games to enter Dota Mobile to watch.

On that day, Dota Mobile’s active login users even reached 35 million, significantly more than before.

These players also did not disappoint Dota Mobile, buying various items in the mall.

Many Douyu Dota Mobile streamers even cleared out all the skins in the mall at once under these circumstances.

Furthermore.

Some streamers even calculated that even if you had never bought a Dota Mobile skin before, you would only need to spend over 30,000 yuan this time to clear out the mall skins.

It should be noted that.

Dota Mobile currently does not have any limited or unpurchasable skins.

So, as soon as this news came out, it also sparked a lot of discussion.

After all, 30,000 yuan in Honor of Kings might not even be enough to redeem Li Bai’s ultimate skin, but Dota Mobile could directly clear out the mall.

However.

Although many Dota Mobile players heavily promoted how generous their game discounts were, besides some streamers and major wealthy players, few people actually cleared out the mall.

Honor of Kings players also liked to mock them.

So, under Dota Mobile’s announcement on Weibo, conversations like this often appeared:

”Come to Dota quickly! Penguin is practically giving away skins! Can you believe you only need 30,000 yuan to buy all the skins?”

”So how much did you buy?”

”Oh, I didn’t buy any. I went to top up for Honor of Kings’ War Order.”

But no matter what.

On the day the two games launched their events.

Their backend revenue continued to increase wildly.

Time.

Soon reached 1 AM the next day.

At this point, the open beta events for both games ended simultaneously.

However, there was one difference.

Because Honor of Kings’ event was designed long ago, after the event ended, the War Order and Draw were not removed, only their prices increased slightly.

Only the half-price discount for new skins was gone.

So later.

Players could still purchase the War Order and Draw.

But Dota Mobile was completely different.

Because the event was added temporarily, they couldn’t design more and better events, so they could only attract players through the most basic discounts.

After the event passed.

All skins in the mall returned to their original prices, with no further follow-up.

Therefore, a large amount of player consumption would be concentrated on this day.

And the Dota Mobile department was well aware of this; they feared that after this day, Dota Mobile’s revenue would be dim for a considerable period and unable to recover.

Before the event, their average daily revenue was around 30 million.

After this event, they predicted revenue would drop below 10 million.

But Honor of Kings’ situation was completely opposite to theirs.

Previously, Honor of Kings’ single-day revenue averaged around 10 million, but after this event, that number would increase to an average of 20 million or even 30 million.

So from a long-term perspective.

Honor of Kings was quite profitable, while dota mobile game was incredibly loss-making.

Therefore, for the Dota Mobile department, they had to make sure that day’s revenue surpassed Honor of Kings, so that they could at least maintain the title of Yan Country’s mobile game single-day revenue champion.

This was also their initial purpose for forcibly holding the event.

And as time passed.

The time finally arrived on the second day.
