You Were Told to Design Software, But You Created Tiktok?!

143: Section 143Hearing this, Ma Liuyun immediately stood up excitedly.

”Then, Mr. Ma,”

”This plan?”

Xiao Ma nodded.

”We can give it a try.”

”Good!”

Ma Liuyun nodded, then prepared to turn and leave.

”I’ll go handle it right away.”

”Wait a moment.”

Xiao Ma stopped Ma Liuyun.

”How long will it take for this plan to be specifically implemented in Dota Mobile?”

”One month.”

Ma Liuyun’s voice rang out.

”The development of social features is actually not difficult, as it’s based on QQ, and our QQ engineers are among the top in the world.”

”So, in just one month, the social features deeply integrated with QQ can be updated in Dota Mobile!”

Listening to Ma Liuyun’s voice, Xiao Ma slowly nodded.

”One month isn’t too long.”

”However,”

”Given the current rate of user loss, I’m afraid there won’t be many Dota Mobile users left after a month.”

”You should know,”

”Honor of Kings has been frantically using various activities to attract Dota Mobile users these past two days.”

”Because Dota Mobile was initially abandoned internally, we didn’t take any measures, which led to a massive outflow of users towards Honor of Kings.”

After Xiao Ma finished speaking, Ma Liuyun also thought for a moment.

”I’m aware of this.”

”Currently, the number of Dota Mobile users is less than 30 million.”

”If we do nothing and let Honor of Kings attract our player base, I’m afraid that after a month, this number won’t even be 10 million.”

”.” But it’s not too late for us to do something now; we can launch some activities to slow down the rate of user loss.”

”This way, after one month, our user count should still be maintained at around 20 million.”

Upon hearing this, Xiao Ma nodded.

”Then let’s do that.”

”I’m also somewhat looking forward to seeing what Dota Mobile will ultimately become after successfully integrating social features.”

After Xiao Ma finished speaking, Ma Liuyun finally turned and left Xiao Ma’s office.

However, before he left, Xiao Ma still reminded him, looking at his back,

”Don’t forget the Wu Town Summit in a few days.”

.

Tencent’s efficiency was indeed quite astonishing.

The very next day after it was decided internally to integrate social features into the mobile game, Dota Mobile launched a series of activities to slow down the rate of user loss.

Many people were quite puzzled by Tencent’s move.

After all, from every perspective, the demise of Dota Mobile was completely predetermined.

For a game whose end was already set to be shut down, launching various activities was completely meaningless.

In fact, in the eyes of many other game developers, Tencent’s move was a complete waste of money.

You should know that Honor of Kings had just launched large-scale activities a few days ago, preparing to capture Dota Mobile users.

However, these activities by Honor of Kings could truly attract users and bring huge profits.

But Dota Mobile’s actions were completely baffling.

Even within Junzi Group, many people found Tencent’s move strange.

”Boss,”

”What exactly is Tencent thinking?”

”Now that Dota Mobile is in this state, they’re still launching all sorts of activities.”

”Some of these activities are even long-term, lasting for a month.”

”Doesn’t Xiao Ma understand that Dota Mobile is destined not to last much longer?”

In Wang Mo’s office, Zhang Fan was asking Wang Mo his questions with a puzzled expression.

Zhou Qiang was also beside Zhang Fan.

He also found Dota Mobile’s actions very difficult to understand.

”Tencent’s (Li Ma Hao) move definitely has his own intentions.”

”Moreover, these activities are large-scale and must have been approved by Xiao Ma.”

”Tencent never does anything useless; their move must be to prepare for a major update after retaining users.”

Facing Zhang Fan’s confusion, Wang Mo slowly said.

Zhang Fan scratched his head.

”Dota Mobile has already been sentenced to death; what kind of update could be so important?”

”Anyway, isn’t it all going to die?”

Zhang Fan really couldn’t understand.

Wang Mo, however, fell silent.

In fact, a few days ago, he had already roughly anticipated Tencent’s move, but he hadn’t expected Tencent to act so quickly, without any hesitation.

At the same time Ma Liuyun saw the situation of overseas game companies exploding in popularity through social features, Wang Mo naturally also paid attention to this information.

Because he had memories from his previous life, he knew how important social features were for a game, especially a mobile game.

He had originally thought that people in this world wouldn’t discover the importance of social features in games so early, but now it seemed Tencent had already noticed it.

And Wang Mo already had a way to deal with it.

He patted Zhang Fan’s shoulder and slowly smiled.

”Don’t worry about what Dota Mobile will do next.”

”If they really pull some trick, we’ll know about it then.”

”No matter how they make their move, we’ll just meet it.”

Seeing Wang Mo say this, Zhang Fan could only nod.

Although he was very curious about Tencent’s internal actions, what his boss said was not wrong; they couldn’t determine what Tencent was up to internally, so it was better to just wait for Tencent to make its move.

Finally, Zhang Fan and Zhou Qiang also left Wang Mo’s office.

Soon after the two left, the secretary brought an invitation.

This was an invitation to this year’s Wu Town Internet Conference.

This time, Wang Mo, as a key speaker, was finally truly taken seriously.
