Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

142: Lu Qingyu went bankrupt?Wang Ning clenched his fists tightly under the table. It was exactly as he thought—this old guy was behind it; it was so underhanded.

They used underhanded tactics to take down all their company’s videos, and now they expect them to beg him to restore them? This behavior was simply shameless.

Wang Ning and Su Jixing both looked at Lu Qingyu nervously. They were terrified that Lu Qingyu would bow his head and suffer humiliation for the sake of the company’s interests.

But Lu Qingyu suddenly stood up:

”I won’t be drinking. I came today mainly to clarify this matter. Since it’s confirmed that CEO Tang did it, then there are no other questions.”

Guo Yang: ”What does CEO Lu mean by this?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Isn’t the meaning obvious? Every injustice has a perpetrator, and every debt has a debtor. Since I’ve found the debtor, the next step is naturally to collect the debt.”

Tang Yin was used to everything going his way; until now, no celebrity had ever dared to speak to him like this.

”Is CEO Lu unconvinced and wanting to settle scores with me?”

”You don’t actually think you can resist me just with those three entertainment companies of yours, do you?”

”To tell you the truth, those three companies of yours are nothing in my eyes. If I want to, I can turn them into empty shells in an instant.”

Guo Yang, Wang Ning, and Su Jixing all looked nervously at the two people engaged in the conversation.

Guo Yang’s mind was currently filled with the words ”Lu Qingyu doesn’t know what’s good for him.” By going against Tang Yin so blatantly, he surely didn’t want to survive in the industry anymore.

Wang Ning and Su Jixing stood by Lu Qingyu’s side to cheer him on, ensuring he wouldn’t lose his momentum to Tang Yin.

Lu Qingyu lowered his head and smiled; it remained to be seen who would turn whom into an empty shell company.

”Brother Wang, Brother Su, let’s go.”

It wasn’t that he looked down on Tang Yin, but rather that there was truly nothing about him worth respecting. He was used to being in a high position and always felt superior to others, but in reality, he was just an ordinary person—and an ugly, arrogant, greasy old man at that.

Lu Qingyu left with Wang Ning and Su Jixing without looking back. Tang Yin smashed the dining table in a rage. It had been a long time since he’d encountered someone who dared to confront him like this. Very well, it seemed the previous lesson had been too mild. This time, he would make Lu Qingyu regret his ignorance and force him to come back and kneel, begging for mercy.

Tang Yin immediately made a call to issue a ban.

Within an hour, all of Qingcheng Entertainment’s currently airing films, television dramas, and short dramas had vanished from video platforms. Before, they were just blocked, but now they were simply gone altogether.

Even the films and dramas related to Lu Qingyu himself could no longer be found. The projects that Qingcheng Entertainment and Black Pearl Entertainment were currently negotiating had all fallen through.

On the way back, Wang Ning and Su Jixing felt uneasy. While their previous actions had been satisfying, now that they had calmed down, they felt it had been a bit impulsive. After all, Tang Yin’s influence was immense, and Lu Qingyu’s capital was likely insignificant in his eyes.

Before the car even reached Lu Qingyu’s home, Wang Ning received a notification. The moment he saw the message, his expression changed drastically.

”Boss, Tang Yin actually issued an industry-wide ban.”

Lu Qingyu had already anticipated this. A person like Tang Yin, having been provoked just now and unable to save face, was bound to do something.

Wang Ning used his phone to search for the films and dramas their company had produced, but he couldn’t find any of them.

Wang Ning said anxiously: ”Boss, our films and dramas have been completely taken down. The heads of a few companies just messaged me saying they won’t cooperate anymore. What should we do now?”

Lu Qingyu hadn’t expected Tang Yin to be this fast: ”Don’t panic, there’s no need to be afraid.”

”For the projects currently paused in the company, just leave them be. Continue with the artists’ training, and proceed with the films, dramas, and short dramas currently in preparation. Hold on for one week, and I will definitely get the company back on track.”

After returning home, Lu Qingyu opened his computer. He had long ago asked Qi Fei to prepare a report on Tang Yin’s assets and ongoing projects. Lu Qingyu browsed through every single item word by word.

Besides investing in real estate, Tang Yin’s company also invested in several other projects. As Lu Qingyu looked through each item, he noticed a very important detail.

Tang Yin’s subsidiary, Boao Finance, had made a 3 billion investment in a foreign bank last quarter.

Seeing this, Lu Qingyu didn’t care about the time difference with Qi Fei and immediately called him.

On the other end of the line, Qi Fei immediately answered when he saw his boss calling: ”CEO Lu, is something the matter?”

Lu Qingyu got straight to the point: ”Tang Yin’s financial company invested 3 billion in a foreign company. Do you know which company it is?”

Qi Fei got up to check his computer, then sent a document to Lu Qingyu:

”I know, Boss. It’s Gao Shen Investment Bank. Gao Shen Investment has been making a lot of noise these past two days. I’ve heard people talking about it privately here, though I don’t know much about it. It seems they’ve raised nearly 20 billion in assets, though I don’t know if it’s true.”

”Could it be that Tang Yin is planning to collaborate with them on some major project?”

Lu Qingyu frowned. 20 billion? Was he planning to buy an atomic bomb? Why would he need that much money?

An injection of such a large amount of capital was somewhat abnormal.

”Have there been any changes in the US market recently?”

Qi Fei looked through his computer while replying: ”The prices of most things are normal, except for gold, which has dropped quite a bit in price.”

Wait, gold. A thought immediately flashed through Lu Qingyu’s mind. He immediately opened his computer to check the gold prices domestically in the Dragon Kingdom; it had already dropped by 23 yuan per gram.

As everyone knew, the price of gold was the most stable. If it dropped in price, there must be something abnormal going on.

Combining all the information, Lu Qingyu suddenly burst into laughter. He knew what Tang Yin was investing in.

Qi Fei didn’t know why Lu Qingyu was suddenly laughing: ”Boss, is there some good news?”

Lu Qingyu didn’t answer but instead asked in return: ”How much capital do you have on hand that you can mobilize right now?”

Qi Fei thought for a moment and said: ”About 900 million.”

900 million. It was too little. Just Tang Yin’s investment in Gao Shen Bank was 3 billion. Gao Shen Bank must be well-prepared this time.

Lu Qingyu pondered for a moment and then said: ”Mortgage all of our foreign assets right now and convert them into US dollars.”

Qi Fei was stunned: ”Ah? This… our company has just started, and business is quite good. If you need money, Boss, I can arrange for some turnover from the domestic company. We don’t need to be this hasty, right?”

Lu Qingyu said: ”Mortgage the domestic bank assets as well.”

Qi Fei: ???

Has the Boss gone crazy again?

”Boss, why? Why are we cashing out so much money?”

Lu Qingyu: ”To buy gold.”

Qi Fei: ”!!!”
