Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

125: It’s not your turn.People from Xiangwan Entertainment privately contacted a large number of Black Pearl artists; those they poached were all people who had already debuted and had works.

People like Li Ruixi, who had not yet debuted, were not within their consideration.

It was Li Ruixi who recommended himself. Meng Wei looked into it and found that Chen Ting indeed had plans to push him to debut. Black Pearl had trained him for two years, and if this kid went to their company, it would save them the initial investment, so they took Li Ruixi into the company as well.

Li Ruixi was an ambitious and hardworking person. After all, having been in his company for over two years, before he left, Chen Ting still wanted to remind him:

”Xiangwan Entertainment is different from Black Pearl. Large companies have complex personnel, and their contracts are not that easy to sign.”

Chen Ting’s words were sincere, but Li Ruixi could no longer listen.

He felt that Chen Ting was just trying to scare him, not wanting him to go to Xiangwan Entertainment.

Not only was he not grateful to Chen Ting, but he instead felt resentment.

He had always worked very hard in the company, studying longer and practicing longer than others, and he got along very well with everyone in the company.

But why wouldn’t the company give him a chance? Instead, they gave all the good resources to Lu Qingyu.

He didn’t know that the company planned to push Li Ruixi to debut. Seeing him like this, Chen Ting didn’t intend to say anything.

Everyone has their own aspirations; he felt he had done all he could.

The broad road to success that Li Ruixi imagined—what he didn’t know was that Xiangwan Entertainment could make a huge profit every year just by squeezing termination fees out of trainees.

Chen Ting didn’t want to give up on Black Pearl Entertainment. He started selling the cars and properties under his name, raising 200 million, and pouring it into the company, but it was like a drop of water falling onto a river—it didn’t even make a splash.

Lu Qingyu hadn’t seen Su Jixing for four days, at most calling him twice a day to instruct him on matters regarding his activities.

On the fourth day, after Lu Qingyu finished work, he wanted to ask his assistant what the work was for tomorrow, but the assistant said there was no work scheduled for tomorrow for the time being.

”When scheduling before, Brother Su said to set aside two days to attend an offline event, so I cleared those two days. But when I contacted Brother Su today, Brother Su said that he wouldn’t be attending that event for the time being, so he gave us two days off.”

Hearing what the assistant said, Lu Qingqingyu felt something was a bit off; these past few days had been very off.

”Has anything happened at the company recently?”

The assistant would chat with people in the company every day. Indeed, quite a lot had happened at the company recently, and Su Jixing hadn’t said that he couldn’t tell Lu Qingqingyu about these things, so the assistant spoke up.

”There has been a lot of personnel turnover at the company recently, and most of the artists the company previously trained have been poached by Xiangwan Entertainment.”

Lu Qingyu immediately smelled the scent of a business war, and he called Wang Ning.

Wang Ning saw it was Lu Qingyu’s call and answered immediately.

”Boss, do you have something to find me for?”

Lu Qingyu asked: ”Do you know what Xiangwan Entertainment is doing recently?”

This circle is only so big, and Xiangwan Entertainment’s status is very high, so its every move is closely watched by people.

Wang Ning: ”Isn’t Xiangwan Entertainment planning to acquire Black Pearl?”

Lu Qingyu: ???

”When did this happen?”

Wang Ning: ”Just this past week. How come you don’t know, Boss?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Why didn’t you tell me.”

Hearing Lu Qingyu ask this, Wang Ning was stunned because Wang Ning thought Lu Qingyu knew; after all, this was the company he was in.

”I thought Brother Su would tell you.”

”I heard that Black Pearl’s boss, Chen Ting, is raising money everywhere. I was even wondering why you, Boss, being so close and so rich, wouldn’t help him out. You must have had your own plans.”

Lu Qingyu was truly speechless.

Wang Ning briefly told Lu Qingyu what he had heard, and Lu Qingyu immediately caught the key information.

Black Pearl Entertainment had been developing just fine, but Xiangwan Entertainment suddenly popped up, spending such a large sum of money to poach people from Black Pearl Entertainment. Meng Wei’s motives were very impure.

It was quite possible that Meng Wei was aiming for him, because his current contract was with Black Pearl. If Xiangwan Entertainment really acquired Black Pearl, then he would be walking into a trap.

”So Boss, what do you plan to do now?”

Lu Qingyu: ”You will have more colleagues soon.”

Wang Ning felt a bit hot-blooded upon hearing this; the Boss had decided to acquire Black Pearl Entertainment! Wow! An employee buying the company—that sounds pretty incredible.

The next day, having no work, Lu Qingyu went directly to the Black Pearl company.

Chen Ting had been looking very haggard these past few days, and Su Jixing was also incredibly busy. Neither of them had time for image management. Lu Qingyu pushed open the door to Chen Ting’s office and saw two unshaven, scruffy middle-aged men.

Su Jixing couldn’t quite react when he saw Lu Qingyu:

”Why are you here?”

Lu Qingyu: ”I’m here to discuss work.”

Su Jixing thought that this work Lu Qingyu mentioned referred to his work as an artist.

The two commercial events that were originally going to be found for Lu Qingyu today had been snatched away by an artist from Xiangwan Entertainment.

Xiangwan Entertainment had spent a fortune to deal with Black Pearl. The person they sent to snatch Lu Qingyu’s work was an A-list celebrity.

For the merchants, the budget hadn’t changed, and they got a celebrity with higher popularity, so they naturally chose Xiangwan Entertainment.

Of course, Su Jixing also felt that he hadn’t done his job well. It was mainly because he had been too busy during this period, and the company was already in a chaotic mess.

”The two commercial events you were supposed to attend weren’t very important anyway. Just treat it as a vacation; you can relax properly.”

Lu Qingyu: ”That’s not the work I’m talking about.”

”I’ve heard everything; Xiangwan Entertainment wants to acquire Black Pearl.”

Chen Ting’s heart skipped a beat, and the look in his eyes as he gazed at Lu Qingyu became cautious.

This younger brother he had treated with all his heart and soul—surely he wasn’t going to leave just as Black Pearl Entertainment was at its weakest!
