Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

127: First come, first servedChen Ting suddenly stood up from his seat and walked over to Lu Qingyu, his eyes filled with tears.

”Brother, from today on, you are my own brother.”

”When I die, I’ll even leave you a portion of my inheritance.”

Lu Qingyu: …That’s really not necessary.

Chen Ting was genuinely very moved. He hadn’t expected Lu Qingyu to help him, and even less did he expect Lu Qingyu to be this wealthy.

Once Lu Qingyu’s funds arrived, he leaped directly from being an employee to becoming a manager of the company.

Subsequent matters were handled by Chen Ting and the professionals at Black Pearl.

When Su Jixing was seeing Lu Qingyu downstairs, Lu Qingyu suddenly stopped as they passed through the corridor.

On the wall was the goal he had written when he first arrived at the company. The small wooden plaque hung quietly on the wall, its wish standing out in stark contrast to those of the other artists.

Every person who passed by here in the past had treated this little wooden plaque as a joke.

I’m afraid no one expected that the person who wrote this sentence was very serious, and had already realized their wish.

Su Jixing was truly filled with emotion at this moment; who could have imagined that things would develop in such a magical way.

When Lu Qingyu had first joined the company, he was still a penniless kid. At that time, when he wrote that sentence, he had just taken it as a joke; he never expected that now, he would truly become his boss.

Su Jixing took down Lu Qingyu’s plaque. Now, Lu Qingyu already had his own independent billboard, posted on the large wall of the corridor.

Su Jixing hung the plaque that Lu Qingyu had once written beside his own photo, just like the other stars who had realized their dreams.

Meng Wei had originally been determined to acquire Black Pearl Entertainment, but suddenly received news that Lu Qingyu had injected 1 billion into Black Pearl Entertainment.

By the time Meng Wei heard this news, it was already two days later, and his blood pressure soared from anger.

He had originally planned to meet Chen Ting today; after giving Chen Ting and the others the cold shoulder for so long, he figured they couldn’t hold out any longer.

If he went now, he could drive the acquisition price down even further.

Meng Wei’s secretary had just finished making an appointment call to Black Pearl Entertainment and came in, looking flustered.

”President Meng, the people at Black Pearl have refused the meeting, and, and...”

Hearing that Chen Ting had refused to meet, Meng Wei couldn’t help but sneer. At a time like this, they still wanted to hold on for dear life? Did they really want to wait for the company to go bankrupt?

The secretary’s hesitant attitude indirectly made Meng Wei lose his temper.

”What else did they say? Speak quickly! You can’t even explain this little thing clearly; what use are you?”

After being scolded, the secretary continued: ”The people at Black Pearl Entertainment said that Qingcheng Entertainment has acquired Black Pearl Entertainment. Chen Ting is busy with the company and doesn’t have time to see guests for the time being. If you want to meet, you must make an appointment first, and the specific meeting time will be notified later.”

The tea in Meng Wei’s hand spilled onto the table with a ”clatter,” and a sense of panic surged into his heart.

”You said Black Pearl Entertainment was acquired by whom?”

Secretary: ”Qingcheng Entertainment.”

”Nonsense! Where would Qingcheng Entertainment have the strength to acquire Black Pearl Entertainment? Black Pearl needs so much money right now; if they can’t come up with it, Qingcheng Entertainment might even be dragged into bankruptcy by them.”

Secretary: ”President Meng, it’s true. The people at Black Pearl Entertainment said that Qingcheng Entertainment injected 1 billion into them.”

Meng Wei’s eyes nearly popped out: ”How much? Tell me, how much money?”

Secretary: ”1 billion.”

”Impossible, the people at Black Pearl Entertainment must be messing with you.”

Meng Wei didn’t believe it, so he ordered his assistant to go investigate personally.

The assistant went out to make phone calls for half an hour, and upon returning, had a grave expression on his face.

”President Meng, the news is true. Black Pearl Entertainment has become a subsidiary of Qingcheng Entertainment. It just wasn’t acquired directly by Qingcheng Entertainment, but by a company called DS Finance, but the boss of this company is also Lu Qingyu.”

In an instant, Meng Wei’s head felt as if it had been struck by a bolt of lightning. It was over; this matter was serious.

In order to acquire Black Pearl Entertainment, he had spent nearly 140 million to poach people from Black Pearl Entertainment. If there was no way to acquire this company, then all the people he had poached would be useless, and the money would have been spent in vain.

At this moment, Meng Wei really wanted to slap Lu Qingyu to death. If it weren’t for his interference, he would have already successfully acquired Black Pearl Entertainment. This person was simply his nemesis.

The key was that he had signed a military order with the company; if he failed this time, his position would be lost.

”President Meng, the board of directors will get the news very soon. What should we do now?”

Meng Wei couldn’t sit still in his office; he was also thinking.

”There might only be one way now.”

”Make Qingcheng Entertainment and Xiangwan Entertainment gamble.”

On Lu Qingyu’s side, after resolving the matter of Black Pearl Entertainment, he was still thinking about how to deal with this Xiangwan Entertainment.

Meng Wei had launched such a fierce attack on Black Pearl Entertainment this time, and since his plan had been ruined by him, he certainly wouldn’t give up so easily.

Maybe he should just acquire Xiangwan Entertainment too? That was slightly difficult because Xiangwan Entertainment was currently the top dog in the industry, and the people standing behind it all had some background.

Unless they ruined the company themselves, it wouldn’t be good for others to rashly intervene.

Lu Qingyu felt that he could find an opportunity to meet with Meng Wei and probe the bottom of this person.

Coincidentally, before Lu Qingyu could look for Meng Wei, Meng Wei looked for Lu Qingyu first.

Wang Ning called Lu Qingyu:

”Boss, there is a banquet tonight hosted by Meng Wei. Basically, all the entertainment companies have been invited. Shall we go?”

Lu Qingyu was amused; he figured this banquet was prepared for him, so he definitely had to go.

On Meng Wei’s side, upon hearing that Lu Qingyu and the others were coming, he immediately began to prepare.

Qingcheng Entertainment and Black Pearl Entertainment had now joined forces, and their combined power was greater than before. For Meng Wei, the good news was that if he could take down Lu Qingyu, he could simultaneously take down Qingcheng Entertainment and Black Pearl Entertainment; the bad news was that the difficulty had increased compared to before.
