Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

131: Wolf WarriorSo everyone was very careful when reading the script; they also wanted to work hard together with the boss for once.

Thus, after opening the script and seeing the theme, everyone began nitpicking, wanting to see just how bad the script was. They hoped to use some subtle ways to persuade Lu Qingyu to change the subject matter.

However, by the time they finished reading, everyone’s blood was boiling with excitement.

”Boss, can I join this project?”

The director who happened to have worked with Lu Qingyu on the filming of Zhu Xian spoke up impatiently.

Lu Qingyu: ”Sure, but only as an Assistant Director.”

Director Qian nodded frantically. The budget for this movie was 200 million. In the film projects Director Qian had done before coming to Qingcheng Entertainment, the highest budget was only 3 million. Being able to participate in this project as an Assistant Director was already very good.

”Yes, yes. For such a large production, we definitely need to find a more powerful director. I wonder if the boss has a candidate in mind for the lead director?”

Lu Qingyu smiled slightly: ”It’s me.”

Director Qian: ???

”And the lead actor?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Naturally, it’s also me.”

Since Lu Qingyu’s company was handling the production and he was the Producer, director, and lead actor, over 70% of the film’s salary and dividends would go to him alone.

The director felt hesitant. Different professions are like different worlds. Lu Qingyu had acted and been a singer before, but as a director, he didn’t know if he was reliable.

Wang Ning: ”Boss, for the female lead, should we invite an A-list actress?”

Lu Qingyu: ”No need. Same old rules: open auditions.”

The meeting lasted all morning as everyone discussed various aspects of the film project’s details.

In the afternoon, the Project Team completed all the planning and officially launched the film project. In the evening, they released the audition notice for the movie.

Because of the good reputation Qingcheng Entertainment had built with its previous works, many people came for the auditions of this new project.

After careful selection by the director and Lu Qingyu himself, the entire main cast and crew were finally chosen within six days.

Meng Wei had been paying close attention to Qingcheng Entertainment these past few days. After all, with the gambling agreement between the two parties, he had to keep an eye on Lu Qingyu’s movements.

Upon learning that Lu Qingyu planned to film a military movie, Meng Wei couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

”If you say he’s stupid, he at least knows that making movies is a quick way to make money. But if you say he’s smart, he chose a military film. I don’t know who gave him the idea; he must be grasping at straws out of desperation.”

Meng Wei’s assistant said, ”This is a good thing for us. The market for military films is so poor, yet Lu Qingyu still wants to try. I expect this movie won’t just fail to make money; it’ll likely lose money instead.”

Meng Wei sat comfortably in his office, enjoying the cool breeze and drinking coffee, as if Qingcheng Entertainment and Black Pearl Entertainment were already his.

There were many onlookers in the industry lately, and after learning about Lu Qingyu’s series of wild moves, everyone thought he had gone mad.

”I don’t quite understand what Lu Qingyu is doing. He wants to make money with a military film? What is he thinking?”

”In my opinion, this is just an 18-year-old kid messing around. He’s far too arrogant.”

”If I’d known Lu Qingyu was so easy to trick, our company should have made a bet with him too.”

”Just wait and see the show.”

Lu Qingyu’s series of actions caused quite a stir in the industry.

As for the protagonist who caused the stir, he had no time to pay attention to these things at the moment. Since the theme was a military war film, the actors needed preliminary training.

All the actors were selected as quickly as possible and then locked away by Lu Qingyu in a training camp.

Because the theme was a military war film, to demonstrate the movie’s professionalism, Lu Qingyu specifically invited many retired special forces soldiers to serve as extras and training instructors for the actors.

Many actors, when asked during auditions if they could endure hardship, firmly stated that they could. They thought enduring hardship meant at most staying up late or doing wirework; they never imagined there would be military training.

In the 28-degree heat, Wu Di held a Type 56 assault rifle, his arms so sore they felt useless.

Before coming, he had been asked if he could undergo physical training. He answered yes at the time, but he hadn’t expected the director to show no special treatment to an ’uncle’ of his age, making him train every day alongside those young guys.

Even those energetic young men were as exhausted as dead dogs, let alone him.

During this month, everyone woke up at 6 AM and went to bed at 10 PM, eating and living together. Besides a large amount of physical training every day, they also had a very healthy diet.

Halfway through the military training, everyone craved hot pot and barbecue, but all they had every day was boiled chicken breast.

When they wanted to sneak some food in private, they found the entire crew was being watched closely by the management staff.

Most importantly, Lu Qingyu lived and ate with them. He didn’t sneak food, nor did he complain of exhaustion. There truly was no special treatment. Seeing someone more famous than them working even harder, everyone was greatly inspired and gritted their teeth to persevere.

However, the benefit of this closed training was that everyone became visibly sturdier and more energetic, developing a certain aura.

After the month-long training ended, they thought they could rest for a couple of days, but immediately after, the director transported the entire crew to Africa.

Looking at the endless African savanna, they felt it was quite absurd.

On the first day of filming, many actors looked at Lu Qingyu with skeptical eyes.

Since joining the crew, they had experienced its professionalism. Although the preliminary training was tough, it precisely reflected the importance placed on the film’s quality.

All the preparations made the actors in the crew feel at ease, except for when they learned Lu Qingyu was the director; their hearts skipped a beat in worry.

They placed most of their hopes on Director Qian, assuming Lu Qingyu was just a director in name only.

But on the first day of filming, no one dared to look down on this youth anymore.

Lu Qingyu was terrifyingly professional.

Over the past month, besides physical training, Lu Qingyu had also undergone one-on-one directorial training.

His extraordinary learning ability left even the teachers who trained him in awe.

The filming process was even easier to manage. Director Qian helped him handle the camera positions, and using the film from his previous life as a benchmark and reference, he would call for a retake whenever someone’s performance wasn’t up to par.

By the end of the day, everyone felt Lu Qingyu’s fearsomeness. In all the live-fire and explosion scenes, Lu Qingyu did everything himself.

Lu Qingyu’s image in everyone’s hearts instantly transformed from a little brother to a devil director and a Desperate Third Son.

Looking at Lu Qingyu, everyone felt it was unbelievable; some people really could succeed in whatever field they entered.

In the eyes of ordinary people, a genius is just absurdly strong.
