Chapter 895: Chapter 25: The Seven Desires

The Blade of Mind didn’t trigger the immunity effect, indicating that this ability doesn’t count as compulsory spirit type control. After exploration in battle, Su Xiao found that the abilities immune to the Blade of Mind are mostly strong control spirit type abilities, like compulsory charming and spiritual dizziness.

The influence he is under now can be at most considered as a kind of misleading that amplifies emotions. The reason it affects Su Xiao’s judgment is because several emotions are being amplified simultaneously.

If only a single emotion were amplified, with Su Xiao’s willpower, he could completely suppress such emotions. For example, when he saw that female student before, although his thought at the time was to pin her down and grind her, he didn’t act, instead restraining his own desire with willpower.

Identifying the problem, Su Xiao breathed a sigh of relief. This emotion-influencing ability is strong in its stealth; once discovered, it poses no great threat.

As for how to break it, Su Xiao had already noticed the symbols on his arm. Combined with the traits of his ability, it wasn’t hard to break it. He transformed 100 points of Mana Value into Blue Steel Shadow energy, and gathered this Blue Steel Shadow energy into his right arm.

Suddenly, the Blue Steel Shadow energy was externalized. Unlike before where it clung to the surface of the body, this time it shot out directly.

The Blue Steel Shadow energy swept across those seven symbols. Su Xiao closed his eyes in meditation. Entering the meditative state, he could sense the presence of those symbols again.

Su Xiao discovered that the seven symbols on his arm are gradually detaching from his body surface, converging in the air to form three words: ’Meeting Gift’.

The seven symbols completely disappeared, Su Xiao opened his eyes. After resolving the source of the emotional interference, he gradually calmed down; his thoughts were previously somewhat chaotic due to unknown ability interference affecting his emotions repeatedly.

[Hint: You are affected by the Scythe of Seven Desires. The triggered emotions: Anger, Pride, Gluttony, Lust. The Scythe of Seven Desires causes 40% Damage to your Maximum Life Value, single emotion Damage is 5% of Maximum Life Value, each triggered emotion sees Damage Effect doubled, at 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, the extreme value is 50%.]

[Without triggering the effect of six or more emotions of the Scythe, your Life Value is above 30%, the final effect of the Scythe of Seven Desires is not triggered.]

[Due to the Hunter not triggering the final effect of the Scythe of Seven Desires, the caster of the Scythe of Seven Desires will suffer rebound, a permanent -10% to Life Value limit, permanent -3 to Intelligence Attribute.]

[Warning: This is an exclusive ability of an abnormal violator. Due to the abnormal violator being more than a kilometer away from the Hunter, their location cannot be locked.]

...

Blood dripped down Su Xiao’s mouth corner; he understood what was happening. It was the target of the hunting mission, that abnormal violator was attacking him.

The opponent had unbeknownst to him used this ability called ’Scythe of Seven Desires’ against Su Xiao. This ability’s casting range exceeds one kilometer, not requiring precise coordinates, possibly needing only a photo of Su Xiao or a code to cast the spell.

The casting range so far, combined with strong stealthiness and emotional influence, undoubtedly makes this a very strong ability, saying that it kills invisibly is not an exaggeration. If one is entirely influenced by these emotions, like Pride, Anger, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, in this dangerous Derivative World, even if one doesn’t die from the final effect of the Scythe of Seven Desires, they might be killed by other plot characters.

Luckily, Su Xiao’s willpower is strong enough, otherwise, this ability might cause a drastic change in his character, leading to more than just using waterboarding or recklessness against enemies - going berserk could happen.

While strong, this ability also has significant side effects; once this ability is forcibly freed, the caster of the Scythe of Seven Desires will suffer a rebound, a permanent -10% to Life Value limit, -3 to Intelligence Attribute. These two punishments are enough for the violator to drink a pot.

Su Xiao wiped off the blood at his mouth corner; they haven’t met yet, and that abnormal violator already gave him a ’surprise’.

Based on known information, the opponent already knows of Su Xiao’s existence, or perhaps Su Xiao’s hunting mission has repeatedly pursued them, leading to rich experience or even counter-killing the Hunter.

This is not impossible; although Hunter and violator are antagonists, the abilities on both sides are diverse; it’s impossible to exist a mutually restrictive relationship - survival is determined by strength, illustrating how dangerous the Hunter role is.

Su Xiao hasn’t gone to find the opponent yet, but the opponent has already ’come knocking’, reminding Su Xiao of a violator he once confronted, Red Clown.

This abnormal violator is similar to Red Clown, both have understanding of Hunters and begin to seek them out in Derivative World attempting solutions from the get-go.

”Almost got screwed.”

Emotion no longer affected, Su Xiao felt a sense of ease, saying his mind and eyes were opened wasn’t an exaggeration. The feeling of amplified emotions was like an invisible hand pulling at his emotions, mixing them together, turning thoughts into chaos, impossible to think calmly.

He hadn’t perceived this feeling before but now with the Scythe of Seven Desires lifted, the sense of ease was evident; he felt as though previously ’burdened’, the initial ’burden’ being light enough to go unnoticed, accumulating weight with emotional fluctuations, now forcibly tearing the ’burden’ off.

Su Xiao temporarily has no time to manage this violator; hidden in the shadows, finding them is highly difficult, even if gaining Aleister’s assistance through Airopathic Circuit, possibility remains slim, and besides, Aleister wouldn’t help.

Fortunately, after initial ’engagement’, that abnormal violator is unlikely to reappear soon, and Su Xiao has means to guard against their ability, reducing future chance of falling for it.

This violator can only be described as extremely difficult to deal with; both sides haven’t even met yet and the first round of interaction is done.

”Bu Bu, if I show abnormal behavior again, bite me immediately.”

Upon hearing Su Xiao’s words, Bubu Wang tilted its head as if asking, ”Bite the head?”

”Bite the leg!”

Bubu Wang’s dog face scrunched up, indicating understanding.

Knock knock knock.

A knocking was heard; Bubu Wang jumped off the bed, wagged its fluffy large tail moving to open the door.

As the door opened, a spiky blond-haired youth wearing sunglasses walked in. The youth donned a flower shirt, unbuttoned, exposing chest and abdominal muscles, paired with a gold necklace around his neck, and shorts below, raising doubt whether he’d just been on a beach vacation.

”Yo, heard you were looking for me?”

The visitor’s name: Tsuchimikado Motoharu, a multi-spy. While not highly combative, no one in Academy City would touch him due to his exceedingly special identity.

”I’ve waited long for you. You’re lucky; had we met an hour earlier, the result might have been different.”

Su Xiao’s words left Tsuchimikado Motoharu puzzled, nonetheless, this was indeed the case. Had Su Xiao met Tsuchimikado with emotions affected, even Su Xiao wouldn’t know what he might have done; under influence, he’d quite likely have hung Tsuchimikado up, hitting until revealing Mortal Soul Code clues.
