Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 867: Chapter 98: Monster Unleashed

Su Xiao pointed to a nearby worker and then gestured towards the unopened hand grenade in the distance. The worker immediately understood, trotting over to the grenade. Just as she was about to throw it to Su Xiao, she realized that Su Xiao had already aimed his gun at her.

After hesitating for a moment, the worker in the hazmat suit stepped forward, handed the grenade to Su Xiao, and immediately crouched down while holding her head, cooperating fully.

[Tip: The Hunter has arrived at the designated location and needs to remain there for 28 minutes and 43 seconds.]

Receiving the notification from Reincarnation Paradise, Su Xiao hung the grenade on his waist, once again holding a gun in one hand and a short knife in the other. He brought four of these short knives with him.

”Can you speak Chinese?”

Su Xiao looked towards the worker closest to him.

”I can.”

A woman’s voice responded. It was a woman, her age and appearance unknown.

”Are there any other exits here?”

”No, there’s only that one.”

The female worker pointed toward the staircase, which was currently billowing with dust.

”Is that so.”

Su Xiao leaned against the concrete. The number of guards was unclear, but conservatively estimated at over 50. Their firearms were not advanced, mostly AKs or commonly seen rifles. With Su Xiao’s current attributes, dying at the hands of these people was not impossible—in fact, it was quite likely.

He tore open his shirt, revealing two gunshot wounds on his shoulder and lower back. The shoulder injury was severe, caused by a rifle bullet; though a stray bullet, its impact was substantial.

The injury on his waist was somewhat better, caused by a handgun. By estimation, it was from a 9mm caliber bullet, and this bullet had passed through Su Xiao’s body. Passing through was better, leaving a bullet inside was worse, like the wound on his shoulder, where the bullet was lodged in a bone.

Initially, getting shot felt like being hammered, but now, the pain in his shoulder was stabbing and intense, his left arm was numb, affecting his shooting.

Clang.

A ’hand grenade’ rolled into the basement. Seeing the shape of this ’hand grenade,’ Su Xiao immediately put on a gas mask; it was a tear gas canister.

Smoke spread at the staircase entrance, and under its cover, a guard with firearms entered the basement.

Seeing this, Su Xiao’s eyes lit up. Tear gas was the thing he most wanted to get.

As the white smoke spread near Su Xiao, his body crouched, leaping out from behind the concrete pillar.

TutuTutu...

A barrage of bullets came. With Su Xiao’s current attributes and reaction speed, deflecting bullets was impossible.

Puff.

Su Xiao’s left arm was pierced, making his gun fall, but he had already dashed into the smoke.

Under the smoke’s cover, Su Xiao quickly charged towards some nearby guards, engaging them at close range.

During his charge, Su Xiao sheathed his short knife, unstrapped the sword bag from his back, and Tang Hong emerged from its sheath.

Zheng.

The sound of the long knife exiting the sheath was crisp, and with the long knife in hand, Su Xiao’s aura became sharp.

Although Tang Hong wasn’t as sharp as Dragon Slash, it was still a sharp blade, sufficient for dealing with these enemies.

In the smoke, blades flashed, flesh sliced with sounds, screams joined in a chorus.

Thirty seconds later, the guards who entered the basement lay on the ground, some bodies still twitching, blood gushing from their mouths.

Su Xiao’s breathing grew rapid. He had lost too much blood, and wearing the gas mask hindered his breathing. He searched among the corpses and found four tear gas canisters.

Exiting the smoke, Su Xiao looked up at the ventilation pipe. Following the electrical wires next to the pipe, he found the basement’s power source.

Su Xiao lodged Tang Hong in the ground, picked up a handgun, and fired several shots at the power source, then shot the motor next to the ventilation pipe a few times.

Having done all this, Su Xiao dropped the gun in his hand, pulled a tear gas canister from his waist, took a deep breath, then removed the gas mask. Biting open the pull-ring, he tossed four tear gas canisters into the corners of the basement, which was now semi-sealed, and the smoke soon enveloped the area.

After donning the gas mask again, Su Xiao pulled out Tang Hong beside him and moved towards the staircase entrance.

In the upper factory floor, a slightly overweight, somber-faced middle-aged man stood before the staircase.

”What’s going on? Someone give me an explanation.”

The middle-aged man was Bagu, once a notorious drug lord. After being suppressed by other forces, he became a hunted dog, nearly losing his life. Now, he was the administrator of the small town.

”Boss, someone has infiltrated the factory. Their purpose is clear. They seem to be after the goods; tomorrow is the shipping date, and there’s a large stockpile in the warehouse on the second underground level.”

A young white man, head lowered, his eyes full of resentment.

Smack!

A loud slap landed, and the young white man turned his head sideways, a red mark appearing on his face.

”Now, go and deal with him.”

Bagu stared at the young white man, who had helped him rise quickly, but now, he was of no use.

”Yes, boss, but no one else can enter the basement, or I might die.”

The young white man’s jaw muscles clenched as he pondered; he could deal with Bagu instantly, but he dared not do so. For a long time, he lived under the threat of others, using family as leverage.

The young white man walked alone towards the staircase. To him, others would only get in the way. Those doomed souls injected with the potion he formulated might not know they won’t live more than three months.

”Time is running short, and the punishments in Paradise are getting heavier. I must think of a way; overly interfering with the real world will result in enforced execution at the next penalty.”

The young white man murmured, pulling out a few glass bottles filled with chemical agents from his pocket.

In the basement, amidst the spreading white smoke, Su Xiao’s breathing was getting increasingly rapid. He had lost a lot of blood, but he had a strange feeling as if the sealed 75 stamina was about to recover at any moment.

Footsteps echoed, and based on their direction, Su Xiao quickly dashed forward. His vision was beginning to double; he had to finish this fight quickly.

”Meaningless struggle; you’re ’one of us’, aren’t you? But you’re too weak, though your gun skills aren’t bad.”

A voice came through the smoke, simultaneously a few test tubes fell to the ground.

Boom!

An explosion reverberated in the basement, and Su Xiao was blown away by an irresistibly powerful impact.

Bam, Su Xiao collided with the wall, feeling as if his whole skeleton might fall apart.

Blood trickled down his lips as Su Xiao looked down to see a gun barrel, blasted apart, had lodged into his chest. What a misfortune.

”Scene cleared, now it’s just the two of us. Rookie, who gave you the courage to enter my territory? Today, this will be your graveyard.”

More voices came through the smoke, revealing the speaker might have been long repressed and finally finding an outlet to vent.

A few test tubes were thrown near Su Xiao.

Boom!

Su Xiao was almost at the center of the explosion.

With a buzzing sound, Su Xiao’s consciousness started to blur, debating whether to give up this mission.

Then, his heartbeat began to accelerate, and what seemed like auditory hallucinations turned his muddled consciousness strikingly clear.

Crack.

The shackles on Su Xiao’s arm shattered.

”So this is how it is. I’ve long been on the brink of breaking my physical limits, just lacking guidance and stimulation.”

Sitting against the corner wall, Su Xiao tore off his gas mask. He had faced countless crises and battles on the edge of life and death in the Derivative World, bringing him close to breaking his physical limits, lacking only one thing: correct guidance.

The shackles suppressing him were also a kind of guiding technique, and in intense battles, he would instinctively exert all his strength, accelerating the guidance process as he exerted his strength. As his body sustained a fatal injury, physical attributes attempted to break the suppression, speeding up the guidance even faster.

Crack, crack...

The shackles on Su Xiao’s body completely shattered, and a powerful surge of energy returned to his body: strength 76 points, agility 76 points, stamina 80 points, intelligence 79 points, as for charm, cough~ increased by 1 point.

[Hint: Hunter has successfully exceeded physical limits.]

[Hint: After returning to Reincarnation Paradise, Hunter will receive ’Proof of The Strong’ related information.]

...

”Not dead yet, looks like you’re stamina-focused.”

The man in the smoke sneered a few times.

Su Xiao stood up, stretching his neck, crack, crack sounds as some dislocated bones accurately reset. He looked at his bloodied left arm and chest, where his injuries were gradually healing.

Su Xiao lifted his right foot and stomped hard.

Boom!!

Like an earthquake, the entire factory trembled! The smoke in the basement was blown into the corners by a strong gust, where a dumbfounded young white man stood.

”I was just kidding earlier, friend, calm down.”

Cling! 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

A multitude of blade auras spread out, the young white man’s vision blurred, and then he lost consciousness. A Level 39 Sword Technique Master and a Level 5 Sword Technique Master were not of the same tier at all.

Five minutes later.

Su Xiao walked out from the partially collapsed factory building, the wounds on his arm had stopped bleeding, and he was starting to regain feeling in his arm.

”Monster...”

Bagu, heavily suppressed under architectural debris, let out a long breath and then went silent.

Su Xiao tore off his tattered top and slowly vanished into the darkness.
