Chapter 863: Chapter 94: Ma Fatty

Inside the jewelry shop, Ma Fatty leaned on the sofa, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, his eyes staring straight at the ceiling. On the coffee table in front of him was a landmine covered in soil.

The fuse of the landmine had already been removed. Su Xiao didn’t set up more dangerous trigger mines in the backyard; he only needed a warning instead of using mines to kill.

Even if the landmine Ma Fatty stepped on exploded, it would only cause a loud noise at most, with the actual damage merely sending Ma Fatty tumbling.

”I’m telling you, that’s pretty bold, burying landmines in the backyard. Wasn’t your previous profession an assassin? Why do I feel like you’re more of a spy?”

Ma Fatty inhaled his cigarette to calm his nerves. He wasn’t aware of the actual power of the landmine, only thinking it would blow him to pieces like in the movies.

”BKT-35 type warning loosened landmine, this thing is at most a war toy, plastic made, invented by a colleague, the sound and explosion resemble one, you can understand it like this: you at most stepped on a firecracker with a 15-second delay, at most it would confuse you, no need to be so terrified.”

Su Xiao carried a black travel bag and walked from the basement.

”Sounds easy, I nearly peed myself at the time.”

Ma Fatty rolled his eyes.

”By the way, how many of these did you set up?”

”Dozens.”

Su Xiao sat behind the bar and placed the travel bag on the wooden table inside the bar.

”You’re awesome.”

After smoking a cigarette, Ma Fatty suddenly laughed.

”Does this make me someone who has stepped on a landmine? Too bad I can’t advertise this to the outside world.”

Ma Fatty always kept Su Xiao’s matters secret, and Su Xiao somewhat trusted Ma Fatty, especially since Ma Fatty had helped him find refuge several times.

Previously, when Su Xiao was seeking revenge, he was hunted by other assassins. After Ma Fatty inadvertently learned about this, he gave Su Xiao the key to his old home, implying for Su Xiao to take refuge there, and afterward, Ma Fatty also disappeared for a while.

Su Xiao and Ma Fatty were only ordinary friends at the time, but the location given was secluded enough, so he took refuge in a nearby village and township, setting up warning devices in Ma Fatty’s old home.

It turned out that Ma Fatty, who was just an ordinary friend at the time, didn’t betray Su Xiao. After that, Su Xiao trusted Ma Fatty much more.

Though Ma Fatty is a ’Feng Shui Master,’ he belongs to the kind of charlatan with some conscience, and this guy is very loyal.

Su Xiao sat behind the bar; a scent somewhat similar to machine oil spread out. Ma Fatty twitched his nose and curiously walked forward.

”Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, damn!”

No wonder Ma Fatty was so surprised. At this moment, on the wooden table behind the bar were three guns, along with a pile of gun parts.

When Su Xiao was an assassin, he mainly didn’t use guns, but it didn’t stop him from collecting some guns in good condition. Often mixing in the dark world, he had acquired many guns, all for collection.

At the moment, there were three guns on the wooden table: a handgun, an automatic rifle, and a semi-automatic sniper rifle.

From Su Xiao’s current perspective, the practical performance of these three guns was medium; not ideal, but enough to use.

However, he wasn’t familiar with gun knowledge before. After getting the guns, he would fiddle with them and then permanently collect them, leading to various problems due to long-term neglect. He is now addressing these issues.

Having been out of touch with those arms dealers in the real world for too long, it’s very troublesome for Su Xiao to acquire guns again. As for his collection, only a few can be used normally, with the fully automatic rifle frequently at risk of jamming.

Su Xiao disassembled all three guns. Given his current understanding of firearms, solving the issues with these three guns wasn’t simple either.

After meticulously maintaining the handgun and automatic rifle, Su Xiao looked at the two silencers, one long and one short, beside his hand, twitching his mouth.

Who knows what madness possessed him back then to find someone to modify these two guns to be fitted with silencers.

The handgun was fine, but as for the automatic rifle, Su Xiao was amazed to find that after the silencer was attached, the gun’s sound was still loud, and when the situation arose that required automatic rifles, the sound hardly mattered. Furthermore, the silencer didn’t have as favorable an effect as imagined, primarily protecting hearing.

Silencers are just colloquial; their proper term is muzzle suppressors, which reduce the noise and flash when shooting and decrease bullet velocity.

Su Xiao completed the maintenance of two guns, ensuring at least they wouldn’t jam or explode. As for shooting accuracy, that could only count on luck and spear ability.

”Su Xiao, are you planning to rob a bank?”

Ma Fatty’s eyes lit up with curiosity as he looked at the two guns, clearly excited as if seeing real guns for the first time.

”Is this... an M416?”

Ma Fatty looked at the automatic rifle on the table.

”Hmm? Do you know about firearms?”

”Of course, I just wiped out a squad with it last night.”

”Huh?”

Su Xiao examined Ma Fatty.

”Ahem, in the game...”

Su Xiao understood; given the classic nature of the HK-416, Ma Fatty knowing it wasn’t strange.

”Want to try it?”

”Can I?”

”Of course... No.”

Even with the suppressor, the automatic rifle was loud; Su Xiao once suspected whether that arms dealer sold him counterfeit.

”Automatic rifles are out; the handgun is fine.”

Su Xiao loaded the magazine into the handgun, attached the suppressor, disengaged the safety, and explained the basic method of using the handgun to Ma Fatty.

”Go to the basement and remember to close the door.”

Ma Fatty received the handgun, grabbed two magazines, and exuberantly rushed to the basement.

”Hold it tight with your hands; the handgun’s recoil is also significant. Don’t give yourself a headshot, and aim for the wooden box in the basement.”

”Got it.”

Ma Fatty slammed the door shut, and soon there came faint gunshots from the basement.

After Su Xiao finished packing his belongings, he opened the basement door with the travel bag, finding Ma Fatty clumsily detaching the magazine and inserting the last one.

Ma Fatty squatted in horse stance, gripped the gun with both hands, his arms slightly bent; as he pulled the trigger, his arms extended forward.

Seeing this shooting action, Su Xiao instinctively thought, could this be the legendary Traitor Shooting Method? He reflexively retreated to the wall beside the door.

Thump, thump, thump...

Ma Fatty’s arms expanded and contracted, shooting with enjoyment; witnessing this, Su Xiao couldn’t help twitching his mouth.

”Awesome.”

After emptying the magazine, Ma Fatty even blew over the gun muzzle, his smile satisfied yet revealing a trace of slyness.
