Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 784: Chapter 15: Shocking Soup

After weighing the pros and cons, Su Xiao decided not to use his war merits for now, essentially saving them.

Although the Reincarnation Paradise Merits are limited, before capturing the Black Soil Fortress, it is impossible for the Contractors to exchange all the Paradise Merits, and compared to the Paradise Merits, the price of Soul Crystals is also not high. The focus of the various adventure groups will be on the Soul Crystals. With a large number of Contractors in each adventure group, their consumption of Soul Crystals is greater compared to attribute points.

The quartermaster does not sell Soul Crystal (Large), and as for the Soul Crystal (Medium) or Soul Crystal (Small), Su Xiao has little demand for either.

Soul Crystals can divert the attention of the various adventure groups, which will slow down the speed of the Paradise Merits being exchanged away.

Compared to the inventory of 191 points of Paradise Merits, the competition for the inventory of only 1 ”Holy Oak Tree Trunk” will be more intense, and Su Xiao will certainly not be the only one eyeing this item.

Moreover, the benefits of the ”Holy Oak Tree Trunk” can be maximized. If Su Xiao increases his Physical attributes to 79 points and his Mana Value to 2700 points before using the ”Holy Oak Tree Trunk,” the increase in Mana Value and Life Value will be extremely impressive.

As for why not increase the Mana Value to between 2900-3000 points and then use the ”Holy Oak Tree Trunk,” it is because that is simply not realistic. Even if Su Xiao can survive in the War World, he is about to face the Promotion World, and the difficulty of the Promotion World is actually no lower than that of the War World. Sometimes being too obsessed with perfection can only lead to destruction.

Once Su Xiao’s Mana Value can reach 2700 points, a 15% gain would be 405 points of Mana Value. What concept is this?

As for the increase in Life Value, because Life Value cannot be clearly quantified to show a total value, the amount of increase is temporarily unknown. One thing that can be determined is that the amount of increase will definitely not be low.

Faced with a 405-point Mana Value gain, Su Xiao decided to save up, especially since exchanging war merits for Paradise Merits is largely a way of ensuring gains for those less powerful Contractors by Reincarnation Paradise.

It should be noted that obtaining Paradise Merits is not limited to the Merit Shop; killing enemy army leaders can yield 1-3 Paradise Merits, and killing enemy Contractors can yield 3-5 Paradise Merits. That is the main source. Exchanging war merits for Paradise Merits in the Merit Shop is merely a less risky approach.

Understanding this point made Su Xiao more determined to save his war merits. It would be great to exchange them for Paradise Merits in the Merit Shop, but even if he cannot, he can rely on his strength to earn Paradise Merits. Those who are strong do not worry about not having places to receive benefits.

Su Xiao closed the exchange list, and a pungent smell of burnt came over, only to see Quartermaster Nicholas Caesar holding a test tube with a gray-brown liquid inside, the liquid was very viscous, like snot.

”How could this be? It shouldn’t be, such a color hasn’t appeared in the potion before.”

Nicholas Caesar raised his hand as if to throw the test tube aside, but Su Xiao suddenly spoke up.

”If you don’t want to burn this place down, you better handle this thing carefully.”

Although Su Xiao didn’t know the exact composition of the liquid in the test tube, with the accumulation of knowledge from ”Alchemy Bomb Production: Level 20” + ”Alchemical Potion Study: Level 20,” he was able to judge that the composition of the liquid in the test tube was very unstable, not reaching the level of explosion, but would definitely combust upon friction with the air.

”What?”

Nicholas Caesar’s sharp nose wrinkled, looking somewhat displeased.

”If there’s nothing else, then leave here.”

Nicholas Caesar’s tone was somewhat impatient, he had a mysterious confidence in his Goblin Alchemy, not yet allowing a soldier who only knows how to kill to give instructions.

”Oh.”

Su Xiao walked towards the outside of the tent, would he just leave so simply? Of course not, Nicholas Caesar’s status seemed somewhat special, and connecting with him could bring many benefits.

”Crude liquid bomb manufacturing method, phosphorus, although flammable, reacts with a variety of materials to form a chain reaction, the most characteristic is that the unfinished liquid bomb turned gray and brown, in a semi-liquid state...”

Su Xiao stepped out of the tent, just as he took a step outside, a shout came from behind.

”Wait!”

Nicholas Caesar looked at the test tube in his hand, then glanced at Su Xiao.

”Green phosphorus is indeed one of the key ingredients of liquid bombs, low ignition point, high burning temperature, easy to obtain...”

From Nicholas Caesar’s fragmentary words, Su Xiao could confirm, this was a bungling alchemist.

”Is that so, then I won’t disturb you.”

Su Xiao continued to walk outside, the originally defiant Nicholas Caesar appeared somewhat anxious. In the Iron-blooded Legion, only he had knowledge of alchemy, he normally had no one to communicate with, now finally someone who understood alchemy appeared, would he allow the other party to leave easily?

In fact, Nicholas Caesar didn’t think Su Xiao’s alchemy was that superb, but he was in urgent need of someone in the industry to discuss the current research, after all, this tedious research had made no progress for two years.

”Why talk about disturbance or not, this is all part of the job.”

Nicholas Caesar put down the test tube in his hand and pulled out a wooden chair from a pile of junk beside him.

”Sit, did you have breakfast?”

This sudden enthusiastic attitude surprised Su Xiao a little, he was initially prepared to ’fish,’ but it now seemed completely unnecessary.

”Thank you, I have eaten.”

Su Xiao sat on the wooden stool which had three and a half legs, if not for his good sense of balance, he definitely wouldn’t be so calm.

Nicholas Caesar brought out half a bowl of ’wild vegetable soup’ from under the experiment table, which was his leftover from last night, what’s more, the bowl had a chipped edge.

”Don’t stand on ceremony.”

Faced with Nicholas Caesar’s ’warm hospitality,’ Su Xiao glanced at the bowl of murky unidentified liquid, his mouth twitching.

”No need to be courteous, you enjoy this ’unknown origin’ ’good stuff’ yourself.”

”Oh, someone who knows the goods.”

Nicholas Caesar picked up that half bowl of ’wild vegetable soup’ and began drinking it, complete with slurping sounds, it appeared very delicious, making one doubt if the content was as bad as it seemed on the surface.

After drinking a few mouthfuls of ’wild vegetable soup,’ Nicholas Caesar licked the corner of his mouth contentedly, and sighed: ”Thick soup brewed with Graham, as delicious as always.”

”Graham?”

Su Xiao hadn’t heard of ’Graham’ as an ingredient.

”A lot of materials chopped up and dried together, collectively called Graham, my invention.”

Nicholas Caesar gave a thumbs-up.

Upon knowing what specific ingredients were, the raw materials of this soup were not something Su Xiao could appreciate.

Slurp~ Slurp~, Nicholas Caesar drank up the soup mixed with unknown meat scraps, by this time Su Xiao’s face had started turning iron blue, he even saw small pieces in the soup resembling cow dung.

”Shall I serve you a bowl?”

Nicholas Caesar said this in a clearly pained tone.

”Thank you for the kind offer, but no thanks!”

Su Xiao quickly refused, not to mention drinking, he felt like throwing up just seeing that murky questionable broth.

”Let’s not discuss the breakfast issue, it seems you know something about alchemy?”

Nicholas Caesar carefully put away that chipped bowl, from this display, it was clear he was an extremely stingy character, gaining benefits from such a person required significant effort.
