Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 775: Chapter 6: Chaotic Brawl

Amidst the chaos of fighting, a dozen orcs charged at Su Xiao. They wore crude wooden armor made from a high-density wood. Although this wood was fairly hard, it was still roughly made. The only decent thing the orcs carried were their fine steel weapons.

Even though the dwarves helped the tribe by forging weapons and armor, there were just too many orcs. Equipping each orc with armor was impossible, even if the dwarves forged without rest. At most, they could provide these orcs with a handy weapon.

Su Xiao scanned an orc’s attributes. The strength and agility of these orcs were between 30 to 40 points, slightly higher than the Empire’s soldiers, but they didn’t possess any military formation skills.

Su Xiao actively approached the group of orcs, a faint body odor greeting him. It was impossible to tell when these creatures last bathed, but amid the blood-reeking battlefield, the scent was faint.

The first to clash with Su Xiao was a lion-headed person, lacking a mane, with a bulging chest—likely female.

Su Xiao didn’t activate Blue Steel Shadow. Until his talent ability Soul Devourer was fully activated, he couldn’t recklessly expend mana value.

The female lion-headed person stared at Su Xiao full of hatred, the kind of hatred forged from thousands of years of racial warfare.

”For Beibeiya!”

The female lion-headed person roared hoarsely, memories of a young female lion-headed child—her daughter—flashing through her mind. The child was also involved in the war, captured after defeat and left missing. Typically, good-looking female orcs that were captured were not killed but enslaved, to be sold to nobles with exotic tastes.

A blood-stained heavy sword slashed towards Su Xiao. With a misstep, Su Xiao sidestepped, dodging the forceful swing, leaving the female lion-headed person off balance and leaning forward beside him.

Su Xiao’s left hand, wrapped in a metal armguard, stretched out, grasping the lion-headed person’s throat and exerting force.

Crack.

”Ugh~”

Blood gushed from the lion-headed person’s mouth as the heavy sword slipped from her hand. Her throat had been crushed.

Su Xiao swung the lion-headed person, hurling her at several orcs, her eyes quickly losing their gleam.

Bang!

The lion-headed person’s corpse crashed into several orcs, knocking them to the ground. Some had their arms broken, others their necks fractured. Su Xiao’s power attribute was as high as 73 points; whatever he threw with full force was more devastating than a cannonball.

As the orcs fell, Su Xiao had already charged forward. The orcs only felt a chill at their necks before the world began to spin.

A few bewildered orc heads flew up, their headless bodies gushing blood like fountains.

”No, please don’t come!”

An orc with a broken spine writhed on the ground. Su Xiao approached, thrusting his long knife into the orc’s throat. The orc twitched a few times before falling silent.

Nearby, an orc with a broken arm lay prone, playing dead. As soon as Su Xiao turned his back, it would spring up from the ground.

Su Xiao glanced at the orc on the ground, casually slashing out a blade aura.

Slash.

The blade aura left a several-meter mark on the ground, neatly severing the orc in half.

After dealing with the nearby dozen orcs, Su Xiao glanced at the prompts from Reincarnation Paradise: his mana value increased by 80 points, and he gained 156 Paradise coins.

Su Xiao looked around, surrounded by human soldiers and orcs fighting ferociously.

Bang!

A muffled sound echoed nearby. Su Xiao focused, spotting a dwarf riding a wild boar rampaging through the human soldiers.

This dwarf wielded a short-handle warhammer, clad in black armor, and mounted on a very robust wild boar. The boar’s head and body were also armored. This was the Dwarf Clan’s elite unit, the Mountain Cavalry, although instead of horses, they rode wild boars.

One mustn’t underestimate wild boars. In nature, their ferocity surpasses that of horses; even tigers would avoid provoking a wild boar.

Moreover, the boar beneath this dwarf had blood-red eyes, clearly of an extraordinary breed.

”Hey, you over there.”

The dwarf called out to Su Xiao from afar, raising his warhammer with a boom, smashing a human soldier’s helmet and head apart.

Su Xiao shook the blood from his hand. The big-bearded dwarf slapped the wild boar beneath him. The boar, like a small tank, lowered its head and charged forward, knocking over any humans in its path.

Su Xiao sliced down an orc rushing at him, unafraid of the dwarf cavalry’s threat, advancing directly towards them.

The dwarf brandished his warhammer, the short-handle hammer dancing left and right in his hand. Any soldier struck was left with dented armor, vomiting blood on the ground, clearly not long for this world.

The distance between Su Xiao and the dwarf rapidly closed, blood splattering and heads flying with each pace.

As they neared, within about three meters, Su Xiao could hear the powerful breathing of the wild boar beneath the dwarf.

”Ha!”

The dwarf straightened his body, raising his warhammer high, poised to smash down on Su Xiao.

Su Xiao’s palm stretched out as he halted his advance. An energy shield appeared in front of him.

Boom!

The wild boar crashed into the energy shield, the impact powerful enough to break its nose. The dwarf on the boar’s back let out a cry, his body uncontrollably smashing into the energy shield.

Bang! The dwarf’s metal-helmeted head collided with the energy shield, shortening his already short neck. His mind buzzed from the impact, the 100-strength energy shield even showing cracks.

Su Xiao immediately retracted the energy shield, thrusting Dragon Slash forward.

Whoosh~

The straight long knife speared through the dwarf’s mouth, exiting through his skull.

Simultaneously, Su Xiao stomped on the wild boar’s forehead, driving it into the ground.

Crunch, the boar’s skull shattered, brain matter splattering meters away.

”Ah!!”

The dwarf, pierced through the skull, let out a muffled roar. Amazingly, he didn’t die immediately. Blood gushed from his mouth as he used his last strength to swing his warhammer at Su Xiao.

Su Xiao twisted his sword-wielding hand, halting the dwarf’s move. The warhammer slipped from his hand, spinning dozens of times in the air before striking an orc’s head. That orc had been about to slash a handsome male elf, only to be stunned by the unexpected hammer. The elf promptly skewered the orc with a sword, miraculously surviving—unaware it was the dwarf who saved him.

This was the battlefield: mad, bloody, and chaotic. One moment you’re killing enemies, the next you might be hit by a weapon from who-knows-where.

Moreover, in such bedlam, ally troops might not be reliable. If they got too caught up in the fight, friendly fire was a real risk.

Su Xiao stomped on the dwarf’s shoulder, pulling Dragon Slash from his mouth. An orc rushed from behind, his long knife reversed in his grip. Sidestepping a long-handled battle axe, he slit the orc’s throat behind him.

[You’ve killed Tribal Army: Mountain Cavalry·Dwarf·Baro Yin.]

[You’ve gained 160 Paradise coins.]

[Your Talent ’Soul Devourer’ activated, permanently increasing mana value by 12 points.]

...

This dwarf wasn’t particularly strong; he wasn’t a leader, just a member of the dwarf elite troops.
