Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 762: Chapter 72: Su the Great Trickster

The trade market was bustling with people, as Contractors with various outfits navigated the stalls.

”Don’t block the way.”

A mecha over four meters tall walked through the crowd, pushing its way due to its massive size. Inside the cockpit sat a bald man.

”Mechanical side trash.”

A girl wearing a green wizard hat dodged the mecha, giving the bald guy the finger, her slender middle finger swirling slowly.

”Mystical side wimp, were you taunting me just now?”

The bald man burst into hearty laughter. Although they seemed to be at odds, it was not the case. This was just another day in Reincarnation Paradise. Arguments or arena duels were common, but making enemies was rare, as it’s not worth it over a few words. Here, there were no keyboard warriors; becoming enemies meant a fight to death.

”Arena, dare you go?”

The girl with the wizard hat twirled the short staff in her hand, raising an eyebrow lightly. She was quite bored, so challenging someone to the arena seemed like a good choice.

”Who’s afraid of whom? 200 coins a round.”

The bald man clearly had nothing better to do either.

”OK.”

The two walked towards the arena. It was clear they wouldn’t become enemies over previous words. If their strengths were similar, they might even form a temporary team.

Such scenes were common in Reincarnation Paradise. Here, it was a lawless zone where one could die in a Derivative World at any time. People wouldn’t hide their thoughts or desires; if a man and woman fancied each other, they might be rolling in bed ten minutes later, then part ways the next moment.

Su Xiao was sitting behind a stall he frequently used. Due to a crisis of Paradise coins, he was ready to con people with items at a bargain.

The attributes of the Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor were simply too dazzling. If a newbie saw these attributes, they might regard it as a life-saving trump card. Not just newbies, even the former Su Xiao treated it this way, until he nearly got bitten to death after using its skill for the first time. After that, he seldom used it.

After pondering for a moment behind the stall, Su Xiao’s lips curled up. He dismantled the wire wheel from the Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor. This wire wheel had the Boundary Line, and this thing couldn’t be sold.

Su Xiao began pricing the two items he planned to sell. Seeing his expression, Bu Bu Wang sighed beside him. It knew Su Xiao was about to fleece someone, not knowing who would be the unlucky one.

[Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor (Purple)], priced at 100,000 Paradise coins.

[Jack of All Trades (Light Gold)], priced at 120,000 Paradise coins.

...

Clearly, the Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor was marked at a high price. As for Jack of All Trades, it was a Light Gold skill scroll; even though mastering it carried the risk of schizophrenia, it was still an item of Light Gold grade.

With the prices set, Su Xiao began waiting for a ’victim’ to appear. Several Contractors quickly gathered near the stall.

A man in a suit picked up the Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor. After checking its quality, skills, and rating, he smiled and shook his head.

”90,000.”

After making an offer, the man in the suit put the Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor back in place.

Hearing the offer, Su Xiao sized up the man in the suit. He certainly didn’t look like a newbie, and Su Xiao immediately understood the situation.

”Lowest is 110,000.”

”Too high. Both you and I know its side effects.”

”Yes, but the grade speaks for itself.”

The conversation between Su Xiao and the man in the suit left several nearby Contractors baffled.

In fact, they were not negotiating the price of the Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor but the price of Jack of All Trades.

”Are you planning to keep this thing hidden? To be honest, I’m selling it to flip it. Without enough profit...”

The man in the suit truly wasn’t a newbie; he was a Worker Merchant.

Su Xiao didn’t want to hold onto Jack of All Trades. If he could find a buyer, he could sell it for around 110,000 to 130,000, but it was too niche.

”Lowest is 100,000, otherwise, no deal.”

”Deal.”

The man in the suit paid outright, earning Su Xiao 100,000 Paradise coins.

Su Xiao was in a good mood, having been ready to stash Jack of All Trades away but unexpectedly finding a merchant interested in it right after setting up his stall.

Only the Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor remained on the stall. How much it could eventually sell for depended on how well Su Xiao could bluff.

The foot traffic in front of the stall was endless, with many Contractors stopping to haggle. Many newcomers were interested in the Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor, but the price of 100,000 Paradise coins directly deterred them. Experienced Contractors wouldn’t spend big money on this item.

It wasn’t until half an hour later that a young man passed by the stall, not alone, but with a female companion in his arms.

Su Xiao looked up at the two standing in front of the stall. There was an eighty to ninety percent chance the young man was a Second Tier newbie. First Tier Contractors generally couldn’t afford this item. Judging by his rather arrogant demeanor, the guy must have had smooth sailing in Reincarnation Paradise. As for the young man’s female companion, there was over an eighty percent chance she was a Worker, with no scent of blood on her, wobbly and insecure steps, and her gaze didn’t carry the experience of frequent battles.

A smooth sailing Contractor + a female Worker, this combination in Su Xiao’s eyes = easy target = sucker = a large amount of Paradise coins.

”Bro, give me a discount on this thing. Sure, the skill it comes with is powerful, but the 30% Life Value cost is too high, and the skill’s cooldown time isn’t great either. I’ll offer 50,000 at most.”

The boy tossed the Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor in his hand, clearly fond of this piece of equipment.

Upon hearing the boy’s words, Su Xiao thought to himself that if those were its only shortcomings, that would be great.

”Lowest is 100,000, no bargaining.”

Su Xiao wasn’t too enthusiastic. Being overly eager would only arouse suspicion.

”It’s just a Purple bracer, 100,000? Do you take it as Dark Purple Equipment?”

The boy spoke with a flippant tone but showed no intention of getting up and leaving.

”This is equipment I’m replacing. If it weren’t for having something better, I wouldn’t be selling it.”

Su Xiao raised his left hand, releasing the glow of Light Gold Quality equipment.

”Light Gold...”

The boy’s eyes widened. Although a Second Tier newbie, he belonged to a medium-sized adventure group, where, for special reasons, his status was not low.

”Forget it, 100,000...”

The female Worker hesitated. It was clear that she had been in Reincarnation Paradise longer than the boy, and she feared both the boy and offending Su Xiao.

”Shut up.”

The boy’s hand wandered inside the female Worker’s clothes, applying pressure slowly, making her breathing hasten noticeably. Her brow furrowed lightly; the boy was pinching her hard.

”You’re such a bigshot, don’t be so stingy. Give me a sincere price.”

”Fine.”

Su Xiao glanced at the female Worker, who smiled bitterly.

”90,000.”

”Ha, you’re really generous.”

”Don’t buy it if you don’t like it. Anyone with sharp eyes would know its value.” 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

Of course, anyone with sharp eyes wouldn’t spend more than 60,000 Paradise coins on this. Its ability was indeed powerful, but death came fast. The weakness feeling after the +15 Power status vanished and burning blood was too lethal.

”80,000, not a cent more.”

The young man stood up as if ready to leave.

”Sigh—”

Su Xiao sighed as though he was hesitating, making the boy smile.

”Don’t hesitate. With higher-grade bracers, turning this item into Paradise coins to enhance your strength is the right choice.”

The boy’s heart began to race. He developed in a univariate direction, with a Power Attribute of 51 points. If his Power Attribute temporarily increased by 15, a punch would leave enemies either dead or disabled.

Regarding the 30% Life Value consumption, he thought he could activate it when his health was below 50%; 30% of 50% health wasn’t too much.
