Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

”How about we just find a good spot and dig straight down? This way, Chadite could also detect deeper places.

We might also understand this place better and see if there’s any strange soil environment.”

Simon, standing nearby, suggested as he watched the contemplative Alka.

Hearing this, Alka shook his head slightly, ”What we are looking for should be a tomb, and possibly a high-ranking person’s tomb. Such graves are likely to have defensive measures.

If we dig down recklessly, we might activate some defense mechanisms. Also, we have no idea how deep underground it is, considering all the issues this area has experienced.

Plus, the Empire is several thousand years distant from us.”

Chadite, next to him, also said, ”The stones below are very hard, getting harder as you go deeper, and there is a lingering abyssal aura.

Even if you dig down 5 meters, the range of deeper detection won’t increase by 5 meters. Because the accumulation of various auras and the power of the earth below will hinder my detection range.”

Simon nodded upon hearing this and retracted his previous suggestion.

Lucilia, sitting on Alka’s shoulder, frowned at his words, thought for a while, and then said, ”Perhaps we can first understand the Saralan Empire’s style of building tombs and their funeral culture.”

”Do you have information on this?” Alka turned to Lucilia and asked.

If there’s information on this, it would certainly be better.

Lucilia nodded, ”There is, but I was not interested in these things before, I only knew about it while learning about the Saralan Empire that a book has such research and records.”

”Wait a moment, let me look for it. I put all the books about the Saralan Empire into a pocket ring.”

As she spoke, Lucilia placed her hand on her bracelet, closed her eyes, and began to carefully search in her pocket space.

It was like reaching into the pocket space with her mind, akin to flipping through it with her eyes.

In just about half a minute, Lucilia brought forth a heavy book, whose cover showed some age.

”This is it.”

She said as she controlled the book to float and began to flip through it.

She quickly found the information she needed.

Alka and the others leaned forward to look at the information in the book.

It discussed the Saralan Empire’s culture and its sources by examining the styles of burial and tomb construction. It let people better understand some of the customs, folkways, and character of this empire.

There were even many simple drawings included, depicting some styles of tomb architecture, even architectural blueprints.

Using these drawings to conduct detailed theories.

Alka, seeing the introductions above, noted that the burial style was ground burial instead of sea burial. In an ocean world like Endless Sea, this is considered rather rare.

They liked constructing tombs in various circular shapes or relatively regular shapes.

Most would be circular, and even the royal tombs of the Saralan Empire adopted this circular style.

Since it was a ground burial, they also had the custom of burial objects and used a type of stone called wither stone to make sarcophagi.

They believed that sarcophagi made from this stone could bring them peace, and this stone had a dim gray tone.

But the stone emitted a faint herbaceous aroma, and the people of the Saralan Empire believed that in such sarcophagi, they could return to the world.

Are they not returning to the embrace of the Divine? In a world where Divine beings clearly exist, such a style is rather peculiar.

With these understandings, Alka generally grasped the style of the tomb.

After understanding these styles, Alka immediately took another look at the map, and reviewed the treasure information again.

As he thought, an expansion indeed appeared, but the expansion information was somewhat ambiguous.

”[Left behind in a tomb that is not his.]”

Although he didn’t know the specific meaning of this information, at least it was determined that the place where the treasure was located was indeed a tomb.

Based on the newly exhibited information, it is now largely confirmed that there is a tomb beneath their feet.

And the treasure is inside this tomb, and the burial depth of this tomb is very deep.

Thinking of this, Alka looked at the map.

Starting to attempt drawing a circle with his hand.

Because the golden point of treasure light and the surrounding white light points, looking at the entire map, are indeed considered in one area.

Then Alka had reason to suspect that these treasures were in one tomb.

Surely there couldn’t be several different tombs beneath his feet, right? That would be too strange, following the burial style, a family style tomb is one circle.

He was trying to figure out how to draw a circle that could encompass all the treasures within it. To discern what the range of this tomb is.

At first, he drew a circle centering on the golden treasure light point.

But no matter how he encompassed it, this circle seemed too large, and there would be many blank gaps.

Not very realistic.

After drawing several circles this way, Alka finally drew a circle he was quite satisfied with.

That is, the golden light point is not at the center of the tomb but at the edge, thus allowing a more correctly sized circle to also encompass all the white light points.
