Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Late at night.

On a desolate plain at the World Scar.

A stove that shouldn’t have appeared here had appeared on the wasteland, its blazing flames driving away the cold of the plain with light and heat.

Beside the stove stood a camp built from steel frames, wood, and canvas.

Traces of daily life could be seen in the camp; clearly this camp had already been set up here for quite some time.

Right by the stove, Chadite was sitting on a small stool, and in front of her was a long easel. A thick sheet of paper, like parchment, was clipped to the easel.

There was already a rough outline on it; from this outline one could judge that the map about to be drawn on it was of the area They had been exploring over the past half month.

”Hum~ mm...”

A humming voice came from the side, and the owner of that voice was obviously in a good mood.

Ulu Liwus was walking back and forth barefoot by the stove.

”Can you wear a pair of shoes?” Jason, who had been staring blankly at the stove, looked at Ulu Liwus pacing nearby and spoke.

Ulu Liwus was currently holding a crystal-clear Sapphire between her fingers, admiring it against the firelight.

”Why? Isn’t it fine like this? It’s not like I’m actually stepping on the ground with bare feet.”

As she spoke, she even waved her feet twice in front of him.

A certain transparent, crystal-like sheen covered her soles, protecting them so she wasn’t really walking barefoot on the barren ground.

”I mean don’t go barefoot.”

”Why?”

”Because it looks weird, it keeps making me think you’ll get hurt, and that you don’t like being clean.”

”Alright, alright, you’re so naggy.”

Ulu Liwus laughed and sat down in Jason’s arms, then gave her feet a little shake; a pair of small shoes slipped onto her feet.

Even now, she still didn’t forget to admire the Sapphire in her hand.

This was the loot she had gotten that day from taking down a Demon, and it just so happened to be her favorite kind of Gemstone.

That made her happier than getting other, more valuable loot.

She had already been happy for quite a while.

Their exchange made Juanlu roll his eyes.

Jason, who used to hold such disdain for stable relationships between men and women, had also been thoroughly handled.

And off to the side was an even more smile-inducing scene.

Matilda was holding up her water bottle, from which seawater continuously gushed out and poured over her. Two other streams of seawater arced out to fall over Pororo and Julia, the three of them standing in a row, taking a seawater shower.

Coming to a place like this with no sea, only land, left the three of them a bit uncomfortable.

They were approaching a full month without touching seawater; showering in seawater like this every day was something they absolutely had to do.

It let their skin regain its moisture and kept their moods relaxed.

Having just finished assembling a mechanical module, Simon stood up and asked, ”How long until Alka comes over to rendezvous with us?”

”He said soon. Should be tomorrow, or the day after at the latest... probably.” Lucilia answered, not entirely sure.

”Sigh.” Juanlu suddenly let out a sigh.

Then he tossed what he was holding into the air and gave it a hard kick, sending it flying far off into the darkness of the night, where it vanished without a trace.

”What’s wrong?” Pororo, who had just finished showering, walked over and asked curiously.

”This damned Abyssal taint! All the beasts we’ve taken down lately, even some plants, none of it is edible.”

As he spoke, Juanlu grew extremely agitated and clenched his fist hard at empty air. ”Do you get it? Not a single one of them is edible, every last bit. This damn taint, this damn Abyss.”

As he spoke, Juanlu was so furious he even raked his hands through his own hair in frustration.

Watching such a worked-up Juanlu, the others nearby couldn’t really relate; they could only shrug helplessly.

”But the upside is that some of the mutated organs on them are pretty useful,” Matilda walked over and said.

Simon, not far away, nodded in agreement at her words. All these various plants and animals infected by the Abyss, even some ores and wood heavily saturated with the taint, possessed strange properties that fascinated him.

But as for what fields they could be applied in, that would only be known after some in-depth research.

”La~ la la la~ la~ la la...”

Julia sat on a rock in the distance, gently playing and singing.

The soft music blended with the stillness of the night, so tranquil and moving.

To the sound of the music, Juanlu took out some ingredients and began to prepare them.

He set a grilling rack on the stove.

A few Puppet Girls who loved to cook immediately hurried over to help.

Hearing the music, Ulu Liwus couldn’t hold back any longer. She stood straight up, and the moment her feet touched the ground, her shoes vanished and she was barefoot again.

Seeing this, Jason could only shake his head helplessly.

A few glowing Crystal Stones floated up under her control, lighting up the surroundings.

As the music played, she began to dance in place.

The brilliant radiance and the Crystal Stones became special effects for her dance.

Jason just sat there watching.

As she danced, Ulu Liwus came over to him, reached out, and pulled him up.

”Come on, dance with me.”

”I don’t know how!” Jason flailed about as he tried to follow along, saying.
