Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

On this level, there are a large number of long-range defense mechanisms, with some placed on higher towers.

Layer upon layer forms a defense circle.

As the attack proceeds, some powerful demons spread their wings and jump directly to the first level from above. Clearly, that shield can defend against ranged attacks but cannot prevent these demons’ assaults.

Alka even found that the fortress does not have any outer doors, only thick walls.

This fortress was constructed with no thought of leaving this area.

The demons that could leap onto the level had powers between the Fourth Stage and Fifth Stage.

The moment they jumped up, Alka saw some captains or mercenaries who had Treasure rush directly toward them.

The brilliance of the Treasures flickered on their bodies.

Most of them were dressed as Demon Hunters, in agile light armor for easy movement.

Alka couldn’t even see them using the powers of their Treasures; facing the demons charging forward, they beheaded them in just a few rounds, making the demons seem incredibly weak.

Suddenly, a demon moved extremely fast, evidently possessing some spatial traversal ability.

The spatial traversal limitation here is absent, unlike inside the city walls.

In such circumstances, he took a risk to break through space, and suddenly appeared behind a soldier with claws diving down.

At the moment he was about to finish off the soldier, an Ice Card appeared beside Alka.

In an instant, the demon was frozen in place, then controlled with water flow forming various spikes, freezing into ice, piercing the demon and holding it in place.

It was only then that the soldier reacted, turning around to express thanks repeatedly.

Salaro seemed to want to say something, however, the sound of a horn was heard. Salaro’s previously relaxed and easygoing expression immediately turned serious; he turned directly to Alka and said: ”Follow me, the situation is becoming severe, this isn’t an ordinary siege.”

Alka also noticed something amiss; many soldiers, clearly recognizable as veterans, immediately began forming various strongly defensive formations, firmly guarding their respective areas.

Only the new soldiers seemed to become nervous facing such a situation.

Some soldiers who had been standing next to them immediately pulled out the very long longbows they had been carrying on their backs all along.

At this moment, behind the hill in front, a gigantic figure emerged.

What an enormous demon, its size reaching about 15 meters, with a massive form like a Titan.

More bizarre is its structure.

A completely non-human structure, its arms and legs seem like heavy hammers, with tough armor covering its body.

Each step is like an earthquake.

Then more of these demons appeared, such gigantic creatures and not just one.

Beside him, Salaro’s expression became even more serious.

”It seems this time won’t be easy.” Saying that, a slender flag appeared in his hand.

The flag was painted with a high tower, topped with three stars.

Alka had seen this pattern before, it was the former imperial flag of the Saralan Empire.

With the appearance of this flag, the atmosphere around visibly changed.

Salaro raised the flag, which emitted brilliance, spreading like some aura gaining state. Its range was vast, seemingly enveloping the entire fortress in an instant.

Alka stood beside this flag, feeling like his emotions were changing, becoming stronger and filled with courage.

The body underwent an all-round enhancement, not much, but extremely noticeable for ordinary or weaker people.

The cannons above shook once more, firing shell after shell again. This time, they aimed directly at the massive demons, trying to kill them.

If such gigantic monsters got close to the walls, it would certainly be no good.

With the sound of explosions, more demons began breaking through the long-range attacks. Using flight and various powers, they jumped to the walls of the first level and began engaging.

Alka controlled various Elemental Cards, providing continuous remote support.

He started focusing on those demons that appeared strong and were causing widespread casualties.

And those huge hammer-wielding demons were more resilient than he expected, only one demon seemed hurt under the concentrated cannon fire, retreating a few steps, pausing for a while before continuing its action.

Looking at the situation, Alka immediately began controlling his Elemental Cards.

The battlefield was swept by gales, countless winds began raging.

Then, in the area below the demons, a spiral whirlwind formed, sucking quite a few demons into it.

But it was clear that only the whirlwind’s damage was not strong against these demons, merely slowing their pace a bit.

A stream of water merged into the whirlwind from somewhere, making droplets mix into the storm, with the water resembling blades.

A surge of coldness came in, turning the Water Blades into Ice Blades. This was the combination of the three elements Alka said he used when he first got the Elemental Cards.

The Ice Blades in the whirlwind turned into a mighty cutting storm, ferociously slicing.

Where it passed, almost all demons sucked into it instantly turned into a blood mist. The entire whirlwind changed from blue to a blood-red whirlwind.
