Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

However, the blood of these demons turned out to be scalding, under such circumstances, Alka had to spend more magic power to cool down the whirlwind. To ensure the blood inside cooled, at least not affecting the toughness of the Ice Blade within.

The consumption of power made him immediately control the whirlwind to move, sweeping towards the main target first.

Beginning to sweep toward those towering demons, Alka had already observed these demons were extremely clumsy, one could even say heavier.

Most of the long-range attacks were practically not blocked by them; instead, some demons on their bodies were helping to strike them down.

Facing the swiftly approaching whirlwind, they found it difficult to leave, those demons’ assistants on their bodies had no choice but to flee as the whirlwind got closer.

Then came the fierce wailing, the wailing even overshadowed the sounds of the battlefield; these demons truly had loud voices.

Everyone could see the Ice Blade whirlwind immediately sliced the monster’s arms and parts of its body into shreds, until completely engulfed, then the large chunks of flesh could be seen.

A massive amount of blood, scalding like lava, absorbed into the giant peak, and Alka’s forehead began to sweat profusely.

He hadn’t anticipated the demon’s blood to be excessively hot.

Various powers, as well as attacks, started to aim at the whirlwind.

These demons seemed not foolish either, discovering the weakness of this Ice Blade whirlwind, on top of that, they themselves knew some flame element magic.

Alka instantly started to struggle, combining three elements itself consumed a lot of magic power, and he had sustained this for so long.

He had to forcefully use the element of ice to freeze that hot blood, to prevent its excessive heat from destroying this whirlwind formed by the combination of three elements.

As the force of the attack continued, the whirlwind began to dissipate.

But by then, a huge demon had been churned into shreds, while another one was nearly half-destroyed, lying on the ground.

Some skinny and inferior demons even began to devour these giant demons’ corpses.

Just as Alka squatted down to catch his breath, a silver-gray-purple light blade nearly enveloped the entire battlefield, shooting out.

In an instant, it sliced countless demons in half; on its path, it even slew three gigantic demons.

The sudden enormous attack slightly surprised Alka, yet many soldiers around as well as nearby Salaro seemed accustomed.

Alka looked toward the direction from where the attack originated—it was Grefar standing on top of the city wall. Somehow, he was holding a giant blade taller than others.

This giant sword resembled a door panel, yet its edges had somewhat sawtooth rather than a blade look.

Alka blinked, only then fully comprehending Grefar’s strength, he was indeed an Eighth Stage powerhouse.

And the weapon he held, in Alka’s eyes, glowed orange—a treasure.

A Scepter-level weapon.

When wielding this great sword again, Alka finally noticed the force emanating from the blade combined with the huge light mass atop the Demon Hunting Fortress.

Clearly, that treasure was enhancing him.

The light blade flying out turned gray-purple.

This time, as the light wheel flew halfway, it was suddenly devoured by something unknown.

Watching the massive insect-like mouth unveiled, Alka felt a familiar sensation.

A demon merely normal human-sized appeared in the air, Alka looked from afar.

Devouring Mouth.

With blood-colored skin, dressed in luxurious clothes like an ancient noble exuding elegance, yet with huge bat wings spread from behind, veins spreading on the membranous surface.

Topped with a pair of fine, unlike a wild demon’s horns.

This truly was his form even looking less like a demon rather closer to the devil imagery in some works.

Appearing, he glanced at Alka instantly, danger flickered in his eyes, yet he didn’t attack Alka directly.

Apparently, his strength wasn’t certainly much higher than Grefar’s.

At that moment, Alka also clearly saw his strength.

This demon’s strength lay in the Eighth Stage, in his view, much akin to Grefar’s.

”Devouring Mouth? Are you treating this place as your stage for performances? Will you perform a clown show for me here?”

It was clearly a sarcastic taunt, but from Grefar’s relatively serious mouth, it sounded like a sincere inquiry.

As if truly asking, it’s like Devouring Mouth would indeed do such a thing.

Making this jab more bizarre, more hurtful than sarcastic tones.

Upon hearing this taunt, Alka distinctly noticed a change in Devouring Mouth’s expression. His expression control was about to fail.

Devouring Mouth glanced at Alka once again, brimming with anger and murderous desire.

”I didn’t come to speak to strays like you; stay in this kennel.” With sarcasm, Devouring Mouth just floated in mid-air watching Alka.

”And you, Alka. You finally arrived. I’ve waited for you for so long. From moment to moment, I’ve longed for your arrival.

Live here in fear; slowly, I’ll push you to the brink, extract your soul.”

Saying this, Devouring Mouth didn’t bother listening to Alka’s reply, his figure vanished from the scene.

Instead, beside him, Salaro gave Alka a thumbs-up.

He was aware of the past between Alka and Devouring Mouth.

”I’ve seen that performance in my dreams as well, ever since then, it’s been years, Devouring Mouth hasn’t swaggered around here with that bizarre accent to disgust others.”

Apparently, everyone would take this to tease him.

And such mockery would only deepen Devouring Mouth’s hatred for Alka.

This fact he couldn’t deny because the nightmare had placed that fact into everyone’s mind, making everyone feel as if they were there.

Such a dream realm, with widespread influence.

However, Alka paid it no mind, after all, he couldn’t let this demon power continue back then. Ultimately, it was a rivalry, either them or him.

With Devouring Mouth’s disappearance, the demon count started to dwindle, some demons seemingly identified the issue and directly fled the battlefield.

Those giant demons not yet on the battlefield, on their way started retreating too.

Not all demons are mindlessly interested only in combat and slaughter.

Soon, the remaining demons were cleared out.

Clearly, this attack wasn’t genuinely to besiege the city; it was merely to allow Devouring Mouth to appear, to give Alka a bad impression.

Declaring in front of many, so after Alka’s death, his disgrace could be cleansed.

At some point, Grefar approached Alka.

”Will you stay here? Staying here, I assure you won’t suffer any harm from that cunning demon.”

Hearing this, Alka shook his head: ”No need, coming here I was naturally prepared.

I just need to know that he can’t act wantonly here, and of course, if there is more information about him, I’m very willing to know.”

Upon hearing this, Grefar nodded from his always serious demeanor.

”He certainly can’t act wantonly here, more information I’ll let Salaro tell you.”

Turning to look at Salaro afterward, the meaning was clear.

Beside him, Salaro immediately stood up and respectfully replied, ”Leave it to me, Grand Judge.”

Grefar nodded, turning away.

”Come on, friend, let’s go inside to talk,” Saro said, gesturing to a nearby tower.

They were just at the entrance of the tower.

Alka nodded, following him inside.
