Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chadite frowned slightly and turned her head to look at the side of the wilderness.

Her current silver ripples covered a broad area and had already detected something strange there.

But there was nothing there, clearly someone had turned invisible and was far off to their side.

”Who are you? Stop hiding,” Chadite called out to the distance.

At this moment, three demons at least seven to eight hundred meters away exchanged glances.

It was obvious; they had been exposed.

”How did they discover us from so far away?” the demon carrying a large machete asked, puzzled.

Although their invisibility technique was not the best, given the distance, they shouldn’t have been discovered so easily.

They should have gotten closer, making it easier to launch an attack.

The leading demon carrying a giant sword looked down at his feet, feeling slight vibrations being transmitted underneath. Very subtle; this was probably what had scanned him.

”Charge over there, take them out!” With that, his wings unfurled behind him, lifting his two-handed giant sword, gliding directly towards Chadite and her group.

The two demons behind lifted their weapons and followed closely.

With the aid of their wings, they moved at incredible speed.

But such large movements made their invisibility almost non-existent. The rippling distortions in the air revealed the outlines of their bodies, though their true forms were not fully visible yet.

”It’s the enemy!”

Jason spoke, a thin lens appearing over his eyes, which immediately detected an energy reaction.

”Very strong, fifth stage... nearing fifth stage perfection!”

This lens could only detect energy reactions; if the enemy deliberately concealed themselves, it was challenging to see them. But clearly, the enemy hadn’t hidden, allowing the energy reaction to gauge their general strength.

The moment Jason revealed the enemy’s strength, Ulu Liwus had already raised his hand. A flash of light burst but lasted only a moment. This momentary flash seemed to utilize some spell’s power, immediately revealing the mountaintop demon’s invisibility.

A spell with anti-invisibility effects.

”It’s a demon!”

”The one in the middle is mine,” Chadite said, transforming into a blue streak of light and charging forward.

Jason and the others followed closely.

The light streak shot forward, directly towards the demon wielding a giant sword at the front. Before he could fully comprehend the state of the light streak, his body was hammered backward as if struck by a heavy blow.

Facing the sudden attack on their comrade, the two demons continued their advance without glancing back, showing no intention of stopping to aid.

Due to their speed, the force of this hit wasn’t strong, and as the demon was knocked back, he drove his giant sword into the ground, halting his flight.

The moment he steadied himself, lava enveloped his giant sword, and he stood firm, warily watching the blue meteor flying around.

The meteor streaked once more.

This time he saw it, but his body failed to react sufficiently. Just as he attempted to dodge and block, he was already a step too late.

He didn’t even see how the enemy attacked, his entire body slammed into the ground with brutal force, rolling several times before standing up.

This blow was far stronger than the last.

A lava-like shield wrapped around his body, providing him protection.

Gazing at this shield, Chadite’s form emerged, pausing opposite the demon, less than 100 meters apart.

”You’re... strong, that damned guy tricked me.”

Hearing this, Chadite squinted her eyes, realizing these three demons were specifically sent to ambush them.

Chadite had already guessed who might have sent them: ”Did the Devouring Mouth send you?”

”Perhaps...”

As soon as those words fell, a fiery rage ignited on the demon’s body, his fury uncontainable, muscles swelling to enlarge his form.

He stomped the ground mightily, and the overwhelming force propelled him. Combined with his wings, he shot like an arrow directly at Chadite.

But this time Chadite remained where she was, without dodging, a red light flickered.

Her right leg stepped slightly back, a surging energy gathered in her right leg.

Watching the demon charge at her.

Her right leg forcefully kicked out.

”Ha!”

A shout, and the massive force created ripples.

The four engaged in battle up front felt a distinct shockwave, as immense power suddenly caused a sonic boom.

The sound was unbearably piercing, making one involuntarily frown in discomfort.

The demon facing the brunt of the attack widened his eyes. He thought it was just speed, but why was there suddenly such overwhelming power?

Again, it must be a damned treasure.

This was a demon with the notable external durability associated with their kind.

This blow, despite his defense, caused his lava-coated giant sword to shatter into pieces.

And the layer of lava shield meant to block the attack disintegrated like dust in the wind.

His body bore the full brunt of such force.
