Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

The GHQ acted quickly; early the next morning, Sakuramitsu Shuu was directly taken away by fully-armed GHQ members on his way to school.

As an enthusiastic member of the Chaoyang Masses, Fang Zheng silently hides his merits and fame, disregards personal gains and losses, and only contributes to the country and organization... Such spirit is commendable.

Thus, while Fang Zheng felt that Sakuramitsu Shuu had chosen a narrow path, he quietly made a reverse move by posting a major news report on the campus BBS, along with photos and news descriptions. In less than an hour, everyone in the school knew the news that Sakuramitsu Shuu was taken away by GHQ for allegedly being involved with a terrorist organization...

Although to protect the privacy of the crime suspect, Fang Zheng kindly put a mosaic over Sakuramitsu Shuu’s face and referred to him as Boy A, but this kind of concealment wouldn’t fool anyone. Students just needed to pay a little attention, observe who didn’t attend class that day, and by looking at the physique and clothing, the truth was practically revealed instantly!

The reason Fang Zheng did this was not simply because he didn’t like Sakuramitsu Shuu, but rather he hoped to observe the surrounding trends through this incident. After all, according to Fang Zheng’s current observations, Sakuramitsu Shuu should be the protagonist of this ”instance.” So, once the protagonist is in danger, whether it’s the enemy or allies, they would definitely act, and Fang Zheng could gradually piece together the original appearance of this plot from their actions, thus grasping the key points.

Sure enough, Fang Zheng’s strategy worked.

After the news of Sakuramitsu Shuu being seized by GHQ spread throughout the school, Inori Yuzuriha was the first to lose her composure, took leave, and left. Without guessing Fang Zheng knew she was going to report to the Funeral Society. Besides, Kyojo Matsuri, who was quite friendly with Sakuramitsu Shuu in class, called a woman named Sakuramitsu Haruka. Subsequently, according to Fang Zheng’s investigation, this woman is Sakuramitsu Shuu’s stepmother and the deputy director of the GHQ’s affiliated Gene Pharmaceutical Research Institute, and she is the sibling of a man named Kido Shuichiro, who is the director of the Void Institute and also the friend of Sakuramitsu Shuu’s father - Sakuramitsu Blackbeard.

Moreover, Fang Zheng found that Sakuramitsu Shuu originally should have an elder sister named Sakuramitsu Shinmei, and from the top-secret information he searched in the GHQ network, she should be the so-called ”Lost Christmas” initiator...

At that moment, Fang Zheng finally caught a clue.

Once having a goal, utilizing retrospection, it became easier for Fang Zheng to trace back the entire background setting.

Firstly, according to the setting, an extraterrestrial meteorite fell to Earth, spreading a virus called the ”Apocalypse Virus,” while Sakuramitsu Haruka’s brother and Sakuramitsu Shuu’s father collaborated to research this virus.

Next, as the first contactor of the meteorite, Sakuramitsu Shuu’s sister Sakuramitsu Shinmei became central to it all. Sakuramitsu Shuu’s biological mother died due to contracting the Apocalypse Virus, shortly after giving birth to him. Subsequently, Sakuramitsu Shinmei stayed with her brother Sakuramitsu Shuu.

One day while Sakuramitsu Shinmei and her brother were playing at the beach, they unknowingly saved a drowning boy, who turned out to be the head of the Funeral Society — Yangg Shenyai, and Sakuramitsu Shinmei named him Treton.

Yangg Shenyai deeply loved Sakuramitsu Shinmei, who saved him, but Sakuramitsu Shinmei loved her brother Sakuramitsu Shuu. Yangg Shenyai discovered that Sakuramitsu Shinmei was being polluted by the virus and therefore wanted to tell Sakuramitsu Shuu the truth. However, Sakuramitsu Shinmei, who arrived first, stopped him. Ultimately, Sakuramitsu Shuu, who came and saw it, witnessed the dense purple crystals hidden in Sakuramitsu Shinmei’s hair, corroded and grown out.

Sakuramitsu Shuu, terrified, pushed his sister away and shouted that she was a creature. Stimulated by this, Sakuramitsu Shinmei completely erupted, triggering the event known as Lost Christmas...

After that, Yangg Shenyai left, and the rescued Sakuramitsu Shuu forgot everything and returned to live as a normal person.

Ah... It’s indeed a standard Japanese ACG plot development, all typical procedures, typical procedures.

But what to do next?

With all the clues gathered, Fang Zheng began to think of a strategy; with observations from retrospection, he naturally found that amid this string of events, a mysterious boy hiding behind the scenes, claiming to be the Divine Sense, the collective evolution of all human will on Earth, representing the will of God. If Fang Zheng guessed correctly, this boy named Divine Sense is likely a spokesperson or Watcher from the Order Clan.

If that’s the case, then Fang Zheng must be very careful not to let this guy find him.

From the clues collected, Sakuramitsu Shuu should be the ”core content” of this instance, and logically speaking, Sakuramitsu Shinmei should be the female lead, but now the girl beside Sakuramitsu Shuu is named Inori Yuzuriha, who, according to Fang Zheng’s investigation, seemingly is a replica of Sakuramitsu Shinmei...

Ah... Fang Zheng knows what the instance is about.

Meanwhile, he also had a bold idea.

However, he must wait for the right moment.

So in the following time, Fang Zheng quietly continued to observe everyone, just as he thought, Yangg Shenyai wouldn’t give up on Sakuramitsu Shuu. He gathered the Funeral Society’s people, secretly infiltrated GHQ to launch an attack, rescued Sakuramitsu Shuu, and just like in many animations, Sakuramitsu Shuu once again encountered Inori Yuzuriha, extracting the ”void” deep within her heart.

”Inori, can I trust you?”

Looking at the pink-haired girl descending from the sky before him, Sakuramitsu Shuu smiled and reached his hand.

At that moment, Fang Zheng felt that the gaze that had been ”watching” a certain place suddenly moved away and turned toward Sakuramitsu Shuu’s location!

Now!

Fang Zheng stood up and took a step.

In the next instant, he appeared in a massive space, at the top of the stairs in this space, a girl with the same appearance as Inori Yuzuriha was coiled up, floating in a strange container. Fang Zheng lifted his right foot and walked up the stairs.

At this moment, Time Stop came into effect.

Fang Zheng slowly climbed the stairs, until he stood before the container, looked at the sleeping girl inside, and nodded.

”Hello, nice to meet you, Sakuramitsu Shinmei.”

[...Who are you?]

A voice emerged from Fang Zheng’s mind.

”I’m called Fang Zheng, a passerby. In fact, I became interested in you after learning about your situation, because I once shared the same predicament as you, and therefore, I deeply sympathize with your plight, Sakuramitsu Shinmei.”

[...?]

The other party obviously didn’t understand Fang Zheng’s intent, but Fang Zheng didn’t waste words, extending his hand to the container, very soon, a string of memories flowed into Sakuramitsu Shinmei’s mind through Fang Zheng’s fingers; after a while, Sakuramitsu Shinmei’s voice rang again.

[...Are you too?]

However, unlike the previous icy tone keeping people at a distance, this time Sakuramitsu Shinmei’s voice softened considerably.

”Yes, just like you saw, only my end with Sora turned out much better than yours.”

What Fang Zheng showed Sakuramitsu Shinmei were his memories with Sora in the World of Love, and precisely because of this, the current Sakuramitsu Shinmei had a sense of closeness toward Fang Zheng, but.... People can be tough without tearing them apart!

Even though both are relatives, in the end, I’m trapped here, my brother ran away, and you’re flaunting your love in front of me!

Just because they are siblings, does it make them special!

Can’t siblings be together?!

”Calm down, Sakuramitsu Shinmei, I’m not here to argue with you.”

Feeling the intense fluctuations in the surroundings, Fang Zheng quickly tried to soothe her.

”In fact, what I want to say is that I deeply sympathize with your current situation, so I intend to give you a hand.”

[...Help me? How do you plan to help me?]

Hearing this, Sakuramitsu Shinmei calmed down a bit, but still asked with confusion.

”Do you know what’s going on with your brother currently? Due to the heavy blow from the Lost Christmas incident, he has completely forgotten you. Now, suddenly, a girl who looks remarkably like you has appeared beside him...”

[I know... that’s my vessel, it was originally supposed to be prepared for me...]

”Please calm down, this won’t help solve any problems.”

Noticing Sakuramitsu Shinmei getting agitated again, Fang Zheng quickly reassured her once more, realizing that Sakuramitsu Shinmei was not only a sister complex but also a yandere!

Such a troublesome attribute.

”I want to ask you, do you still love Sakuramitsu Shuu?”

[...Of course...]

”Then, do you want his body, or do you want his heart?”

[What does that mean...?]

”If you’re only interested in his person, I can just knock him out and bring him here, and then you can do whatever you want. But if you want him to truly fall in love with you... I have other methods, but I hope to gain your cooperation.”

[...My cooperation? What could I possibly do?]

”Of course, I’ll guide you on what to do. The important thing is you must understand that although you’re Sakuramitsu Shuu’s sister, your advantage isn’t obvious. Based on the information I have, Sakuramitsu Shuu doesn’t have that kind of feeling for you... I said, please calm down!”

Before he finished speaking, Fang Zheng felt that Sakuramitsu Shinmei was on the verge of another outburst, and had to stop once more.

”If you keep interrupting, I’m going to leave!”

[...Sorry]

”Okay, let me continue... actually, this isn’t surprising, because based on what I’ve found, you were both kids back then. Boys generally mature emotionally later than girls. Usually, when girls start talking about who they like, boys are still dragging snot and playing house.”

Fang Zheng paused here.

”But now, Sakuramitsu Shuu has grown up, and he has developed a longing and understanding for love between men and women...”

[But... the one he likes isn’t me, it’s my vessel... which is just a vessel...]

”...Miss, could you let me finish talking...”

Faced with Sakuramitsu Shinmei’s constant chatter, Fang Zheng was completely speechless. One moment she’s yandere, the next she’s depressed, what exactly does she want? Isn’t she going to let people finish talking?

[...]

”Actually, this is a good thing because a boy’s first love almost always ends in failure. At that time, you can take advantage of the situation. I’ll find a way to create this scenario, and you just need to wait for the opportunity and follow my instructions... Do you understand?”

[...Why are you helping me?]

”Two reasons. First, I deeply sympathize with your ordeal, considering we all face similar problems, so I’m willing to help. Second, I have some dealings with the culprit who released this virus... Simply put, I also want to thwart their plans...”

[...]

”Do you need time to consider? We have plenty of time.”

[No, I’ve already made up my mind]

Soon, Sakuramitsu Shinmei responded.

[I hate this virus because of it, I’ve faced all this, Shuu left me, and sees me as a creature... I will never forgive any of it. I always thought it was karma, bad luck on my part, but...]

”Actually, from the start, you were the chosen one.”

[...That’s right...]

At this moment, Sakuramitsu Shinmei’s tone was full of resentment, clearly aware that this Apocalypse Virus was not naturally occurring... but she was powerless.

However, now the situation was different.

”Well, then, happy cooperation.”

Looking at the sleeping Sakuramitsu Shinmei before him, Fang Zheng smiled.

At the same time, he received Sakuramitsu Shinmei’s answer.

[Happy cooperation]
