Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

”That’s right, this is Kamukura Izuru, isn’t it?!”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng speak, Enoshima Junko joyfully raised both hands.

”Created as humanity’s hope, a being combining all talents into one, guiding humanity to hope, practically a Savior. And now, he will bring you destruction and despair... nothing can be more despair-inducing than this!”

However, facing the hysterical Enoshima Junko, Fang Zheng merely stood there, looking at her nonchalantly.

”So what?”

”...Huh?”

”What is Kamukura Izuru, after all, but something made by mere mortals? Mortals project their fantasies of Deity onto a concept and delude themselves into thinking they can create a new Deity; however, mortals are still mortals, and Kamukura Izuru is nothing but an ordinary human. Perhaps Peak of Hope Academy had some unrealistic fantasy about him, but to the billions of people on this planet... Kamukura Izuru? What is this thing? Who does he think he is to emerge claiming to be humanity’s Savior?”

Fang Zheng spread his hands and chuckled.

”Savior? Even Jesus on the cross had a bunch of people thinking it had nothing to do with them. A mere Kamukura Izuru in despair is just as insignificant as a lab mouse; who cares for his life and thoughts?”

At this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but hum a tune.

”There never was any Savior, nor reliance on Immortals or Emperor. Human happiness must be created by ourselves...”

As he hummed his tune, Fang Zheng again coldly looked at Enoshima Junko.

”And to be blunt, Kamukura Izuru, viewed as ’omnipotent,’ is also something made by mere mortals. What mortals consider omnipotent is meaningless to me. You see, just like this...”

Fang Zheng raised his head, glancing at Kamukura Izuru.

The next moment, Kamukura Izuru let out a muffled groan, as if slapped by an invisible hand, collapsing onto the ground.

”All humanity’s talents? What does that mean to me?”

Fang Zheng simply stared at the figure of Kamukura Izuru, face devoid of expression, pinned to the ground.

”I don’t know what Enoshima Junko used to persuade you, nor do I care about your ambitions or dilemmas, but since you joined Enoshima Junko’s plan, naturally, you also have to be punished. Those children manipulated and brainwashed by you must bear responsibility, and as the Originator, you are no different.”

At this point, Fang Zheng squinted, glaring at Kamukura Izuru, a gleam flashing in his eyes.

”Die.”

As Fang Zheng’s words fell, Kamukura Izuru’s figure suddenly ”pop!” burst like an ant squashed flat, dying before Fang Zheng without uttering a word.

”......”

At that moment, seeing Kamukura Izuru’s corpse beside her, even Enoshima Junko’s expression stiffened significantly.

”Now it’s your turn, Enoshima Junko...”

Fang Zheng looked at Enoshima Junko, his gaze indifferent and cold. Confronted with Fang Zheng, Enoshima Junko’s rigid expression suddenly changed, revealing a smile.

”Is this... despair? Are you going to bring me despair as well?”

However, faced with Enoshima Junko’s inquiry, Fang Zheng shook his head.

”No, no, no! I won’t bring you despair. How could I ever bear to bring you despair? Rest assured, I won’t kill you...”

At this, Fang Zheng’s tone softened, and his gaze toward Enoshima Junko grew increasingly tender.

”After all, you are such a rare object...”

”Whoosh--!”

At that moment, suddenly, from the shadows behind Enoshima Junko, countless semi-transparent, octopus-like tentacles emerged, quickly entwining Enoshima Junko and lifting her into the air.

”Hope? Despair? Those things are of no concern to you. All you need to do is enjoy...”

Fang Zheng, hands behind his back, smiled and nodded at Enoshima Junko. As he spoke, dozens of tentacles crept slowly along Enoshima Junko’s limbs, leaving sticky, transparent mucus on her fair skin.

Meanwhile, another tentacle wrapped around Enoshima Junko’s neck; its tip began splitting into finer tentacles that crawled along Enoshima Junko’s cheeks, entering her nose and ears.

”What is this! What is this?! What is this?!”

Her hands and feet under total control, Enoshima Junko eyed the tentacles with anticipation and excitement but showed no trace of fear.

”You don’t need to know, or perhaps you will eventually know...”

At last, those thread-like fine tentacles burrowed into Enoshima Junko’s ears and nose, then suddenly plunged!

”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

At that moment, an eerie beast-like cry erupted from Enoshima Junko. Her eyes widened, her body spasming and shaking as if shocked. Her pupils constricted; eyes turned white; mouth agape, uttering incoherent delirium even she couldn’t comprehend.

Her limbs flailed wildly, like a puppet played by a puppeteer, making various eerie gestures.

”Good... bad joy... going to... brain, brain hahaha melting, melting... to shape... to be pregnant... pregnant... hmm...!!!!”

Yet, before Enoshima Junko’s words were finished, another thick tentacle thrust into her mouth, extending into her throat. Now, Enoshima Junko couldn’t even make a sound, just shaking and struggling like a puppet.

”Such a rare specimen, how could I bear to kill you?”

Looking at Enoshima Junko before him, Fang Zheng chuckled. Enoshima Junko is the ultimate terminal of despair energy in this world, which is why she possesses the ”Ultimate Despair” ability to spread despair to others. On the flip side, this is also beneficial for Fang Zheng. Prior to this, he had only anthropomorphized Chaos through his fantasy to conduct experiments on transforming Chaos.

But now, Enoshima Junko is a genuine humanoid of Chaos, like a terminal from which Chaos outputs Chaotic Power, polluting this world and transforming it into despair to become Chaos. And now, Fang Zheng can naturally ”hijack” this port to permeate and invade Chaos in reverse.

Truth be told, Fang Zheng thinks Chaos made a bad move choosing Enoshima Junko. Though it can output despair and Chaos power through this terminal, it has overlooked one point — Enoshima Junko is ultimately human.

As humans, they have desires, and humans obtain happiness by fulfilling desires — a system. Enoshima Junko is the same, though she claims to pursue despair, the main reason for pursuing it is a craving for the pleasure and satisfaction of happiness.

And now, Fang Zheng crudely yet directly controls Enoshima Junko’s brain with his tentacles, bypassing other steps and using the Power of Order to stimulate her brain’s secretions, keeping her perpetually in a state of Elysium. In this state, the happiness generated by Enoshima Junko also inversely affects Chaos.

That’s why Fang Zheng said he wouldn’t let Enoshima Junko die so easily. Finding a usable humanoid Chaos terminal is tough; if useful, he plans to keep her around for connecting other Chaos Cores later.

As for whether Enoshima Junko will die... there’s no need to worry. The Swarm excels in biological modification under Fang Zheng’s bio-enhancements, even if she wants to die, she can’t. What’s more, with her brain controlled now, Enoshima Junko’s self-awareness and thoughts have vanished; her mind is blank, forever submerged in endless pleasure.

Hope? Despair? Ridiculously foolish.

Fang Zheng sneered coldly at Enoshima Junko and Kamukura Izuru’s corpse. He scoffed completely at their notion of ”boring with omniscience and omnipotence hence longing for unknown and despair” — it may sound feasible, but deep down it’s just the Emperor’s new gold staff?

It’s like two ants sitting on the ground, complaining to each other.

”Ah, I know my ant nest inside out, my peers are all like this — it’s so boring.”

”Yeah, this world is just like that — there’s nothing more to look forward to.”

Then someone walks over and stomps them dead.

Could you stop crawling on my tile flooring? It’s newly replaced.

What do ants’ troubles have to do with me?

Two ants, believing they possess omniscience and omnipotence, attempting to meddle in the human world?

Dreaming should be done while sleeping.

In Fang Zheng’s view, specifically emphasizing hope and despair is indeed a foolish act.

Hope is when human capacity runs short, relying on others to accomplish what oneself cannot. For instance, hoping something develops favorably because it’s beyond one’s control hence entrusting hope.

But conversely, if something can be easily achieved naturally, there’s no talk of hope needed.

For example, no one wishes to say, ”I hope I can pick up this pen from the ground,” because it’s an action easily completed by bending over — unless one’s paralyzed or a vegetative state.

In turn, ”I hope this pen directly jumps into my hand”— this only indicates laziness.

But Fang Zheng absolutely has no interest in discussing this with the two because it’s meaningless; they ended up this way. Fang Zheng is certainly not interested in sparring words with them.

Ultimately, hope and despair are tragedies caused by lack of power.

For example, mutual slaughter simply because they can’t defeat the Black and White Bear?

Like Fang Zheng who initially pinned the Black and White Bear to the ground, who would dare play mutual slaughter with him?

Anyway, the biggest trouble in this world has now been solved; next... it’s time for cleanup.

However...

”This cleanup is truly troublesome.”

Fang Zheng glanced at his personal terminal and shook his head helplessly. Just then, a line of system notifications appeared before Fang Zheng.

[Examination complete]

[User Divine Position certification complete]

[Initiate re-detection... three, two, one]

[Detected a newly matched Divine Position]

”Oh oh oh! It’s finally here!”

Upon seeing this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but rub his hands excitedly. He hadn’t forgotten that he primarily came here for the exam, and now that it’s concluded, he should be able to obtain a new Divine Position, right?

What might it be?

Hmm, given his previous actions, it should be ”Justice” or ”Law,” maybe even ”Morality”?

Well, let me see!

Soon, after a moment, a new line of system notification appeared before Fang Zheng.

[Matching complete]

[User obtained new Divine Position: Lust (Life’s enjoyment is not Platonic spiritual love, but the pleasure of the entanglement between soul and body)]

Seeing this system notification, Fang Zheng’s smile froze completely.
