Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

At the venue, Fang Zheng also met quite a few acquaintances---and that’s natural, considering he is the organizer. Fang Zheng certainly wouldn’t let his own people squeeze in line with that group of deadbeat otakus to wait for admission. So he specifically gave everyone he knew in this world an internal ticket, allowing them to directly enter and prepare their stuff without having to endure the harsh sun outside. After all, for some races, this is just unbearable...

Like a certain vampire...

”Phew... Mr. Fang Zheng, thank you very much.”

Seeing Sophie sitting in a chair looking like a corpse, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but twitch an eye. Okay, she is a vampire, and attending a comic convention under the blazing sun is indeed hard for her, but still...

”Gabriel, what kind of nonsense are you up to?”

Seeing Gabriel leaning against Sophie, looking similarly lifeless, Fang Zheng didn’t understand what was going on. Sophie is a vampire, so what’s with you, an angel, acting half-dead here?

”Ugh... I stayed up all night playing battlegrounds, and I’m still recovering. Let me take a break...”

Gabriel weakly greeted Fang Zheng and glanced at Flandre by his side before lowering her head and closing her eyes...

Useless, utterly useless!

Seeing the lazy Gabriel, Fang Zheng rolled his eyes in resignation. Others enter early to grab a spot or prepare their booth, but you just come in to enjoy the air conditioning and take a nap?!

But to be honest, Fang Zheng is quite grateful to Sophie.

The reason is simple: when he first created Flandre, the vampire image that emerged in his mind was one of Your Excellency Bishop and the other was Sophie.

This was unavoidable. Although Fang Zheng had previously encountered a lot of vampire culture and knowledge before his rebirth, those were all fictional. And Fang Zheng had only truly seen three vampires: Alucard, who was a lunatic not counting; the Bishop and Sophie were both Zen vampires. The Bishop wasn’t afraid of the sun, and Fang Zheng had never seen Sophie sucking blood. Because of this, the vampire concept injected into Flandre was actually unclear, resulting in Flandre’s only exhibited vampire attribute being ’Zen’...

This is also why Flandre is so obedient and well-behaved. After all, whether it’s the Vampire Bishop, Alucard, or Sophie, the common trait they all had in Fang Zheng’s eyes was they were quite chill when nothing was happening...

So it turned out that the vampire attribute currently in Fang Zheng’s mind was inexplicably linked only with ”chill” and ”Zen.”

However, this actually suppressed Flandre’s potential danger, preventing her from being as curious about everything as other kids and trying to explore it all. Of course, if she encountered something she didn’t know or was curious about, Flandre would still take action, but for the most part, she was content just following Fang Zheng.

So in one way, Fang Zheng is quite thankful for Sophie, the lazy vampire.

Who would have thought that a lazybones who slacked off during watch duty in a Death Game could suppress Chaos with this trait?

If all the vampires in the world were this lazy, there would be peace on earth.

”Do you want something to drink?”

Compared to Gabriel, who practically threw the angel clan’s reputation in the trash, Fang Zheng’s attitude towards Sophie was quite positive. Sophie also shook her head and waved her hand...

”Ugh... Let me rest a while longer, the sun outside is too harsh... I thought I’d die on the way here, I even prepared a will...”

”.........”

Going to a comic convention and having to prepare a will, I wonder which Chuunibyou (delusional) kid would still dare fantasize about being a vampire in the future.

After letting Sophie recover and disdaining Gabriel a bit, Fang Zheng took Flandre to continue checking the stall setups, soon they unsurprisingly encountered...

”Ah, Mr. Fang Zheng, you’ve arrived!”

”Yo, Black Cat.”

Seeing Black Cat setting up her doujin magazines there, Fang Zheng nodded. Black Cat, grinning, waved at him. She had taken a spot at the comic convention, and being a regular, it wasn’t her first time selling doujinshi. However, unlike Eiriri, a top creator, Black Cat was more of a struggling artist, though she didn’t mind anymore.

In the past, selling doujinshi was tough for Black Cat, mainly due to her Chuunibyou thoughts and her family’s financial struggles. She had to save money herself to print them, so the pressure was immense. But now, in Heavenly Dao Palace, Black Cat had earned quite a few bonuses, improving her and her family’s life. As a result, to Black Cat, she was now ”rich,” ”willful,” and would ”go all out!”

Moreover, Black Cat’s doujinshi skills had improved.

During the Death Game, she hung out daily with Eiriri and Yamada Elf; both were best-selling creators, and their occasional pointers greatly benefitted her. Plus, at Heavenly Dao Palace, Black Cat had accompanied Fang Zheng on several adventures, gaining new insights into life. She combined these with her experience learning Magic to create a new doujinshi.

Of course, the protagonist of this doujin story was still a Chuunibyou character. However, Black Cat set it in Another World as a Mage Apprentice who was fond of Black Magic. In a world where Black Magic was taboo, the apprentice learned Black Magic, went on adventures, and faced opponents and enemies who saw it as forbidden...

The story itself was fairly average, but it was so hardcore!

After all, one of the magic schools Black Cat studied at the Heavenly Dao Palace was Necromancer!

This was real experience, not some mishmash!

So compared to her previous overly Chuunibyou works that were incomprehensible, the magic setup in this doujinshi was extremely hardcore, filled with strong realism. Though still not widely popular, it caught the attention of niche Western fantasy readers, earning Black Cat a small but dedicated following, marking some success.

This made Black Cat quite proud.

Look at this A5 color hardcover!

Look at these 120-page thickness!

I can print 3,000 copies, sell 1,000, collect 1,000, and spread 1,000!

Rich, willful, and going all out!

”Is this your friend?”

”Ah, yes!”

Fang Zheng glanced at the girls next to Black Cat and asked, while Black Cat nodded.

”This is Kotori, sort of... a net friend.”

”H-hello...”

Looking at Fang Zheng, the girl called Kotori seemed visibly uneasy and respectfully greeted him.

”Hmm...”

Looking at Kotori in front of him, Fang Zheng was quite curious. He could tell this girl was the ”gyaru” type, not only dyeing her hair but also wearing very Shibuya-style fashionable clothes. How should he put it... she had a ”normie” vibe all over her, which logically shouldn’t match Black Cat’s ”shut-in” type at all, right?

How did these two end up together?

Just as Fang Zheng was puzzled, he saw a girl with a small braid, round glasses, and looking like a plain, nerdy otaku, walking over.

”Yo, Black Cat-san, Kotori-san, how’s it going with your preparations, we...”

However, before she could finish, she froze when she saw Fang Zheng, then turned around as if wanting to flee, but...

”Saori Makishima?”

Though her outfit was surprising, Fang Zheng still immediately recognized the true identity of the girl in front of him.

”Ugh... Mr. Fang Zheng...”

Hearing Fang Zheng call out her name directly, Saori Makishima stopped in her tracks, and turned to look at him reluctantly.

”Eh? You know each other?”

Black Cat, on the other hand, was a bit surprised, looking between Saori Makishima and Fang Zheng. This didn’t make sense. As Fang Zheng’s harem, if there were another good friend in this world, how could she not know about it?

”I have some business dealings with the Makishima Group and have met Ms. Saori at some banquets.”

Fang Zheng replied casually to Black Cat’s question. Actually, he didn’t have a deep impression of Saori Makishima because, in Fang Zheng’s memory, at every banquet, this young lady stood in the corner like a shadow.

But, you couldn’t overlook... this young lady’s height was too intimidating.

Neither in his past life nor this life had Fang Zheng seen a high school girl who was 1.8 meters tall. When she wore high heels, she was almost as tall as him. Because of this, Fang Zheng had a strong impression of Saori Makishima.

Seeing her height and hearing that voice, Fang Zheng immediately remembered.

”Black Cat, how do you know Mr. Fang Zheng?”

Compared to Fang Zheng, Saori Makishima was even more surprised. Although she’s an introverted young lady who dislikes socializing, she’s very familiar with business matters. She naturally knew Fang Zheng’s identity. In Saori Makishima’s view, such a well-known CEO of a large enterprise should never be associated with a deeply entrenched chuunibyou like Black Cat.

”Heh heh, Mr. Fang Zheng is my destined lover.”

”Huh?”

”No way!?”

Faced with Black Cat’s words, Saori Makishima was stunned, while Kotori directly cried out.

”It’s sort of like that.”

Fang Zheng, however, was calm. He walked to the exhibit table, patted Black Cat’s head, and nodded to the two girls.

”Black Cat and I met in the Death Game. We hit it off very well. Hmm... thank you for taking care of her.”

”No, no, it’s us who owe Black Cat our thanks.”

Saori Makishima truly was a lady of high society. After being stunned for a moment, she quickly reacted and respectfully bowed, though her mannerisms mixed with her current attire were somewhat comical.

”I’ll go check out other areas first. Good luck, Black Cat.”

Seeing that the others seemed a bit constrained with his presence, Fang Zheng didn’t say much more. He greeted Black Cat and then left with Flandre in his arms. It wasn’t until Fang Zheng was far away that others came over.

”Wait, do you really have a boyfriend?”

Kotori gaped at Black Cat in disbelief. Although Black Cat had mentioned many times that she had a lover, they all thought it was just Black Cat’s ”imaginary boyfriend” because...

”I didn’t see him with any pitch-black, night-like wings or fiery aura...”

”Someone like you wouldn’t understand.”

Looking at Kotori, Black Cat giggled.

I was telling the truth, but you took it as a myth, is that my fault?
