Chapter 1635: Chapter 1633: The Reason She Won’t Meet (Curled Up With Her Paws Over Her Head)

Three days later, Eiriri handed a USB drive to Tomoya.

”Here... I... well, I don’t really have anything to say, but you should understand that you should watch this alone. If you spread it, I will definitely flip out. You get what I mean, right? Although, even if you wanted to share it, you couldn’t. It’s all specially encrypted by Mr. Fang Zheng to protect the privacy of those involved...”

”Thank you, Eiriri!”

Tomoya took the USB drive eagerly, said goodbye to Eiriri, whose expression was complicated, and then hurried home with the USB drive. He pulled down the curtains, inserted the USB drive into his computer, and turned it on. Feeling both excited and nervous, he picked up the mouse and opened the video files inside the USB drive.

Soon, the screen flashed.

The first thing to appear was the background of a bedroom, with a bed in view. Then the camera shook slightly, showing Kato Megumi sitting quietly at the edge of the bed. She was still wearing the same outfit she had worn when she first met Tomoya, but now, Kato Megumi’s expression was somewhat uneasy.

At this moment, Eiriri’s voice came from off-camera.

”Hehe, don’t be nervous, miss... So, let’s start by answering a few questions. What’s your name?”

”Um... KaO Megumi...”

”And your age?”

”1X years...”

”What are you doing?”

At this point, another male voice sounded from off-camera, and Eiriri chuckled.

”What does it matter, Mr. Fang Zheng? Isn’t it rare to shoot a video, shouldn’t it be done formally? Don’t most openings start with questions like this?”

”So you’re filming this? Are you thinking of adding black bars and mosaics?”

”Eh? That’s a good ide...”

”Good my ass!”

Soon, accompanied by a ”thud,” Eiriri let out a cry of pain off-camera, while Kato Megumi sitting on the bed smiled slightly, seemingly less nervous.

”Okay, you go out now.”

”Eh? I’m not joining?”

”Stepping outside now, no way! Stay outside.”

”Oh... alright.”

Hearing Eiriri’s somewhat disappointed response, the sound of a door opening and closing could be heard, leaving Aki Tomoya also feeling disappointed. In fact, he had never seen his childhood friend’s body... If he could, he definitely wouldn’t miss this opportunity.

Unfortunately, the other party wouldn’t give him this opportunity.

Next, Aki Tomoya saw a young, handsome man appear in the frame, sitting beside Kato Megumi, reaching out to embrace her shoulder. Feeling his movement, Kato Megumi lowered her head with a blush, silent, looking like a bashful girlfriend.

He, he’s actually holding my girlfriend like this...

Seeing this, Aki Tomoya clenched his fists tightly, a flame of anger rising from deep within, yet he could also feel his excitement building...

”Okay, let’s confirm one last time, though I’ve asked before, Kato, you’re really okay with this?”

”Yes...”

At Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Kato Megumi softly replied.

”Um... please take care of me...”

”Raise your head.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng gently caressed Kato Megumi’s cheek, she raised her head, blushing, looked at him, and slowly closed her eyes.

Watching the scene, Aki Tomoya was amazed, his eyes widened, his breathing becoming more and more intense.

My girlfriend is kissing someone else... Why? Why would she so easily let that man undress her? Even though when she was with me before, no matter what I did, she wasn’t willing...

”Ah... ugh...”

In the dim room, only the video’s glow and occasional muffled sounds could be heard, while Aki Tomoya stared intently at the screen, his right hand moving constantly.

My girlfriend... My girlfriend is...!!

”Ah... ahhhhhhh!!”

Accompanied by the scream in the video, Aki Tomoya’s hand movement became more violent, finally at the video’s last stage, he suddenly shuddered and then sat stiffly at the computer, as if frozen. Moments later, he let out a long breath, lowered his head, and looked at his right hand.

”Finally... this feeling... really feels good...”

The next morning, when Eiriri met Aki Tomoya again, she saw a refreshed man. Looking at Aki Tomoya, as if freed from a nightmare, Eiriri was stunned. She had originally thought she would see him in pain or regret, but what was with this debt-free, carefree look?

”This was great, thank you so much, Eiriri!”

”Ah... um...”

Looking at Aki Tomoya thanking her, Eiriri was extremely confused, unsure what to say. Deep down, she even felt a bit disgusted. You sent your girlfriend to do such a thing, it was her first time, yet you don’t ask her what she feels? What she thinks? Instead, you’re just feeling good yourself? What about Megumi?

Thinking this, Eiriri’s gaze at Tomoya was a bit irritated.

”So, are you satisfied now? Let’s end it here?”

”No, just once is too bad, please help out for another week.”

”...... Huh?”

Hearing this, Eiriri stared at Aki Tomoya dumbfounded.

”Do you really have a problem with your head? That’s your reaction?”

”Please, this kind of thing, I can only ask you for it!”

”...Well, just as I relayed before, Mr. Fang Zheng has warned you, so don’t regret it.”

”Hmm? Don’t worry, I won’t regret it.”

And so it went like this...

The next day.

The third day.

”Over there... I’ll be really embarrassed there...”

The fourth day.

”I can’t believe Megumi would show such an expression...”

The fifth day.

”Is this... in the park? Outside? Even in a place like this...”

The sixth day.

”Megumi actually... no, this can’t be real, it must be staged... Ahhh, so desperate, like an animal...”

The last day.

”Hmm? This is...”

Seeing the background that seemed a bit familiar and different from before, Aki Tomoya was momentarily stunned, then quickly realized.

Isn’t this my own home?

When did they come here?

”Tomoya-kun, are you watching?”

At that moment, Megumi reappeared in front of the camera, sitting on Aki Tomoya’s bed.

”Because today is the last day, so... I wanted to leave you a memento, so I chose this place...”

”A memento? What memento?”

”Although it’s embarrassing, but... um...”

At this point, Kato Megumi paused for a moment and turned her head.

”Um... sorry, I’ve decided to break up with you.”

”...Huh?”

Upon hearing Kato Megumi’s response, Aki Tomoya felt like a bucket of ice water was poured over him from head to toe, his whole body cold. But the girl in the video didn’t stop, continuing to speak.

”I, at first, just wanted to fulfill Tomoya-kun’s wishes, but now it’s too strange. I don’t know what Tomoya-kun is truly thinking. I even doubt whether Tomoya-kun really loves me...”

”I, I do love you, Megumi!”

Hearing this, Aki Tomoya couldn’t help but stand up and shout, disregarding the fact that it was just a video. Of course, Kato Megumi in the video couldn’t hear him, so she continued.

”So I realized, what you love isn’t me but the version of me in the video, right? Just like the game you created before, it doesn’t matter how Kato Megumi really is to you. What’s important is Kato Megumi as the game’s heroine, isn’t that so?”

”I... this...”

”I’m also capable of getting angry, you know, Tomoya-kun. I like you, but your actions make it unbearable for me. A day or two is okay, but a whole week... Why don’t you ask for my opinion? You always make decisions on your own without consulting anyone, and it seems to be the same even here. I’m your girlfriend, you know, did you ever ask for my opinion? Or am I completely insignificant to you?”

”No, no, it’s not like that. I believed you would always love me, Megumi!”

”Moreover, I’ve now experienced the happiness of being a woman... but you can’t do it, can you, Tomoya-kun? You couldn’t do it before, and you still can’t do it now. So what about after today? Are you going to let Mr. Fang Zheng have me for another month? Or a year? So, who exactly is my boyfriend? And even if I returned to your side, I doubt we could be like before.”

At this point, Kato Megumi paused.

”Let’s break up, Tomoya-kun. I’m sorry, but I think this is the end for us. Mr. Fang Zheng promised me he’d destroy those old videos. Honestly, I don’t really want you to see those things anymore, so... goodbye.”

As Kato Megumi’s words fell, the next moment, the computer screen went completely black. Following with a ”sizzle,” smoke rose from the chassis, and everything, including the motherboard and hard drive, was completely destroyed.

”Aaaaaah!!!”

At that moment, Aki Tomoya couldn’t hold it anymore, collapsing onto the ground, letting out a painful cry...

”So, what happened later? What about that guy?”

Leaning against the bed, Fang Zheng curiously asked, while Eiriri lay in his arms, helplessly sighing.

”Who knows, I heard he moved, but I don’t know where to. I didn’t ask much about the rest... Seriously, it’s so stupid. Where did he get the confidence to think Megumi could resist Mr. Fang Zheng’s charm? Doesn’t that idiot have any self-awareness? Finding someone more handsome, richer, more capable than him, and even more skilled as an opponent, isn’t that just dumb?”

At this point, Eiriri pouted.

”If you ask me, he totally deserved it!”

Honestly, at first, Eiriri was just surprised by Aki Tomoya’s thoughts but wasn’t particularly disgusted with him. After all, Aki Tomoya had always been like this, so she got used to it. But after their first encounter, Eiriri’s disappointment in Aki Tomoya was complete due to his changed attitude.

”I guess the world is full of oddities.”

Fang Zheng shrugged his shoulders too. He truly couldn’t understand Aki Tomoya’s baffling actions. As a man, Fang Zheng couldn’t comprehend Aki Tomoya’s choices either, and he didn’t know what was wrong in his mind to come up with this.

But for him, there’s nothing particularly noteworthy. Kato Megumi’s relationship with Fang Zheng now lies somewhere between Shiyu of Misty Hill and Eiriri, more than friends but not quite lovers. Since she doesn’t mind, Fang Zheng sees no need to mind either.

Of course, Fang Zheng’s primary focus during this time was analyzing the lyrics from the primitive civilization’s stone slabs, then composing music and having others perform it.

He had to admit, there were indeed a few good songs among them.

As for how effective they would be... that would be known in the next battle.
