Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1633: Chapter 1631: Let’s Add a Buff! (Not Feverish but Headache)

For the girls, this was simply the most incredible thing they had ever experienced.

In the distant universe, flashes of firelight flickered occasionally, and in front of them were warplanes whistling around and bizarre-looking alien warships. Fortunately, sound couldn’t travel in space, so the explosions outside were completely inaudible from inside, looking from afar just like a series of fireworks.

And the girls were singing to their heart’s content at the back of the battlefield.

”Are you ready? I’m a lady, let’s start, do what you can, I’m number ONE......!”

Even though there was no audience in front, and the stage was only temporary, watching the battlefield in front of her, Haruka still sang as best as she could.

Gradually, she felt as if she was floating away from the stage, just like a ghost leaving its body, drifting in the universe......

”Bro! Look, look!”

At this moment, Sora also grabbed Fang Zheng, widened her eyes in surprise and pointed ahead, and Fang Zheng also nodded.

”Ah, I see it.”

While speaking, Fang Zheng looked at the girls in front of him. At this moment, he could clearly see that different colors were emanating from the girls, enveloping them like an aura. What’s more, these colors blended with each other, rapidly spreading throughout the universe—like the radiance of the sun, shining on the battlefield in front of them.

Under this radiance, the VF fighters battling the aliens also changed their movements, becoming more agile, flexible, and aggressive. Meanwhile, the response of the Zentradi started to slow down.

Wow, singing can actually apply buffs and debuffs!

Seeing this, Fang Zheng was also shocked. He had just tried it out of curiosity, not expecting it to actually work?!

This shouldn’t be happening; those girls were from an ordinary... well, not quite an ordinary world.

Thinking of Yukiko, Fang Zheng also shook his head, and speaking of which, he almost forgot, at least it qualifies as a supernatural world... After all, ghosts and grudge spirits exist in it.

However, I didn’t expect this world to also have this kind of unscientific phenomenon... though building Gundams in this world isn’t scientific either.

With the girls’ singing, the Chinese Federation gradually gained the upper hand, while the Zentradi clearly showed a downturn. They were obviously also surprised by where this strange sound was coming from—well, Fang Zheng had Belfast hack into the Zentradi’s communication system, otherwise, if the opponent cut communications, these songs would be truly useless.

Though not completely useless, as they could still buff our side, right?

”Changin’ my world! A constantly changing world, shining brightly! Changin’ my world, my world, my everything changes together!”

Under the girls’ singing, the battle situation began to tilt. Both sides, originally evenly matched, now showed marked differences. The Zentradi’s fleet started to retreat, while the Chinese Federation’s fleet began to advance. However... even so, it was still not enough.

”That’s enough for now.”

Seeing the pale, panting girls, Fang Zheng made a gesture, and soon, the music stopped, and Fang Zheng walked up.

”P—Producer?”

”You’ve worked hard, take a rest for now.”

Seeing the girls’ faces, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but frown. To be honest, if it was just pure singing, the girls could keep going for several hours. But the current situation was clearly different; while singing, they were also releasing their psychic power.

Fang Zheng wasn’t sure if this was due to the girls’ changes after arriving in this world, but anyway, consuming a lot of spiritual energy in a short time would make a person more exhausted. Now Haruka and the others had only sung for about an hour and a half, yet they seemed like they hadn’t slept for a day.

”Here, drink some water and rest a bit.”

Fang Zheng signaled the girls to take a rest, and it was only then that they reacted, looking at each other, panting after seeing each other drenched in sweat.

”HONEY!”

Just then, Meixi rushed over and hugged Fang Zheng.

”When Meixi was singing just now, I felt as if I was flying into space! Even fighting alongside those pilots!”

”Me too!”

”I had that feeling too...”

Hearing Meixi’s words, the other girls also nodded in agreement. When they were singing just now, they all felt as if their souls left their bodies, floating in space, encouraging the swiftly traveling warplanes. It felt as if they were on the battlefield alongside those warriors, and this made them incredibly excited. Because of that, they almost forgot their physical exhaustion and kept singing song after song until the music stopped, and they came back to their senses.

It was only then that they realized they were almost too exhausted to walk.

”Come, sit here and take a rest, have some water, I’ll cast Holy Light on you.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng raised his hand, and soon, a warm Holy Light descended from above, falling on the girls, helping ease their fatigue a little.

”Producer, we can continue singing.”

After taking a breather, Haruka immediately stood up and looked at Fang Zheng with excitement. Although they didn’t know the soldiers before, nor what they were fighting for, while singing, Haruka seemed to sense their feelings and thoughts. Because of this, she now increasingly wanted to help.

If initially Haruka’s group only saw this as an unimaginable job to complete, now they had some genuine desire to be involved.

”You should rest for now.”

Fang Zheng reached out, pressing Haruka back into the chair.

”Don’t forget, there are others too.”

”Eh?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s reply, the girls were taken aback, and just then, the music started again.

Unlike before, this time the music was extraordinarily cheerful, and then everyone saw Komizo Yukina holding a microphone, walking to the front of the stage.

Meanwhile, the music grew more and more intense, and then the girls saw Yukina pick up the microphone and start singing.

”I fell for you at first sight, chasing after you selflessly, but the desire to understand you continues to burn fiercely......”

”Wow..........”

Upon hearing Yukina’s singing, the idol girls of 765 couldn’t help but swallow, different from them, Komizo Yukina standing alone on stage, radiated an incredibly strong aura.

”Is Yukina really this strong?”

Even Fang Zheng was taken aback. Unlike the other girls, Fang Zheng could see more; he clearly saw that the soul and spiritual radiance erupting from Yukina was even stronger than all of Haruka and the others combined before.

Are you kidding? There are twelve idols here, and Yukina alone can match all twelve?

Is it really that exaggerated?

”GIRIGIRI, love, the forbidden boundary line... even if the difficulty is G, I will destroy everything for you to see......!”

Yukina’s singing resounded throughout the space, whether it was Fang Zheng’s wrong feeling or not, at this moment he even felt Yukina’s song didn’t pass through the radio waves, but used some mysterious way to completely echo throughout the universe, even he felt blood boiling hearing it.

However, there was still a noticeable difference between the two sides.

If the girls from 765 were angels bringing blessings to the warriors, then Yukina seemed like a goddess overseeing the entire battlefield right now. To be honest, Fang Zheng never thought the girl who always seemed introverted and lacking confidence could have such an aura.

But now, it clearly played a role.

Part of the Zentradi fleet left the battlefield, and the main force began to retreat quickly. Clearly, under the song, they could no longer fight as before.

Not to mention the song not only crazy buffed the enemies but also crazy debuffed themselves, every Zentradi who heard the song felt as if something inside them was awakened, causing them to completely ignore the battlefield in front of them. If it continues like this, the situation will become worse.

Thus, the Zentradi finally chose to retreat decisively--- this also announced the end of their attack once again.

”It’s really amazing!”

Seeing Fang Zheng, Asuka couldn’t hold back her excitement, clenched her fists.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, those songs actually worked!”

”Yeah, they did, I didn’t think they would... How do you all feel?”

”Honestly, at first I didn’t feel much, but the more I listened, the more I felt like I’ve become different, reacted faster, and even seems like I can sense where the enemy threatens me...”

Speaking of this, Asuka chuckled.

”And, I found that Rei and I could use the AT field during the battle!”

”Oh? Such a move?”

Have to say, hearing this, Fang Zheng was genuinely shocked. Normally speaking, the AT field can only be released by EVA, although according to EVA’s logic, everyone indeed possesses an AT field, but that’s just a theory. Yet now, Asuka and Rei Ayanami could use the AT field while piloting the VF fighter... that’s frightening!

Looks like the song’s power buff effect is truly beyond their expectations.

”Thank you all for your hard work.”

At this moment, Goto Yulika also walked over and respectfully nodded to the girls.

”Thanks to everyone’s help, we were able to successfully repulse the Zentradi people’s attack, if it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t know what we would do.”

”Ah, please don’t be so polite......”

Although usually showing a childish side, when wearing military uniform, Goto Yulika somewhat showed the demeanor of a captain, seeing her bow and thanking them, Haruka and Yukina became a bit uneasy and stood up to return the courtesy.

”We didn’t do anything big......”

”Everyone has changed the outcome of our fight with the Zentradi people, how can that be called not a big deal? Please rest for a while, afterward the military will reward everyone.”

”Eh? Eh, what?!”

Hearing this, everyone exclaimed in surprise, they subconsciously thought this was just a job, but didn’t expect to actually receive the army’s reward?

Wait, aren’t we supposed to be idols!

”Lord Fang Zheng.”

After chatting with the girls for a bit, Goto Yulika looked at Fang Zheng.

”Some Zentradi people chose to surrender, we’re taking them in, and... they brought us something.”

As she spoke, Goto Yulika took out a few slabs about the size of tablet computers, engraved with alien characters on them.

”What is this?”

”We don’t know either, the Zentradi people said it’s a cultural relic of primitive civilization... His Majesty said you should take a look.”

”Hmm... let me see.”

Fang Zheng took the slabs and cast a comprehend language spell.

”Hmm... once? well... once? well... can you remember love? Seems like it’s a song......”

”A song...?”

”Yeah, it looks like these are lyrics.”

Fang Zheng roughly flipped through the slabs in his hand, gave a reply.

”Leave these to me, with these, dealing with those Aliens will be easier.”
