Chapter 1623: Chapter 1621: Yukina’s Troubles (If Anyone Dares to Pet the Cat, I’ll Pet Them)

The Christmas atmosphere is becoming more and more intense.

Looking at the Christmas decorations outside the window, Yukina couldn’t help but feel a bit lost. She still remembered last year’s Christmas when everyone from SchoolDays held a mini LIVE together, but this year...

”Are you listening to me, Miss Yukina?”

”Ah, yes!”

Hearing this voice, Yukina’s whole body stiffened instantly. She turned her head to look at the woman in professional attire opposite her. She was Yukina’s producer assigned by the Ogata Office, and also the person responsible for arranging Yukina’s work. To be honest, Yukina was a little afraid of her because this woman with glasses gave people a very serious feeling, a bit like a school teacher, and she was also very strict with her...

”On Christmas Eve, you need to go to the radio station for an interview program first, then participate in the Love Spin Battle, and in the evening, there’s the Christmas Eve Song Festival, right...”

”That’s right, exactly like that.”

Hearing that Yukina answered correctly, the woman nodded in satisfaction, and Yukina also let out a long sigh of relief as if she had successfully answered a teacher’s question in class after being in a daze.

”And, Mr. Kawano has invited you to the dinner afterward...”

”Umm... Miss Yamamoto...”

Hearing this, Yukina could no longer hold back.

”Can I not go? I promised my family that I would spend Christmas Eve with them.”

”Miss Yukina.”

Hearing Yukina’s words, Producer Yamamoto adjusted her glasses.

”You’re an idol now. I can understand your desire to reunite with your family, but work takes precedence now. Ogata Office has invested so much in you, and we also hope you can perform well. Mr. Kawano’s father is the president of an entertainment company, and he himself is the main character in the upcoming movie. Building a good relationship with him will benefit your career.”

”.........”

Here we go again.

Hearing this, Yukina instinctively frowned. She really didn’t like these kinds of conversations. It’s true that after signing with Ogata Office, the office has spent a lot of effort training her, even hiring famous industry mentors to give Yukina special training. Honestly, Yukina could also feel her progress. In the past, she simply liked singing, but now, thanks to this professional training, Yukina has gradually grown.

But... She doesn’t like any of it.

Especially the producer Yamamoto in front of her, who always said things like ”the office has poured so much effort into training you,” giving Yukina the feeling that she was just a pig being raised by Ogata Office, waiting to be fattened up and slaughtered for meat...

”Miss Yukina?”

Seeing Yukina’s expression, Yamamoto became even more serious.

”Do you understand how rare everything you have now is? You know, many girls dream of becoming famous, but they can’t do it at all. And you have such a good opportunity, you should seize it well!”

”But, but...”

Hearing this, Yukina also tried hard to argue.

”But I’m an idol, wouldn’t being with a man cause rumors?”

”Rumors are good too, they can increase attention, and can even be used as a selling point. The other person is Mr. Kawano, it won’t be any loss for you.”

”Eh?”

Hearing this, Yukina’s heart completely sank. She opened her mouth but ultimately said nothing.

How could it be no loss!

Yukina had heard from other girls in the office many times that the man named Kawano, although outwardly branded as a ”refreshing idol-type guy,” was actually a playboy who liked to seduce women. It was said he had already victimized several girls, and some even had to leave the entertainment industry because of pregnancy.

Even though he did many controversial things, because his father was the president of a large entertainment company, these bad rumors were not reported in the media, and those girls were mostly silenced with money, not daring to speak out.

Yukina’s family wasn’t anything big either. Of course, Morikawa Yuki was friendly to her, which was why Yukina could stay in this office with peace of mind. But Morikawa Yuki was a big star after all, with a heavier workload than Yukina, and had recently gone abroad for performances, so naturally, she couldn’t be around Yukina all the time.

What if something like that happened to her? Sister Yuki treated her very well, but after all, the other party was the son of a big company president. Sister Yuki couldn’t possibly confront him because of her.

What would it be like over at 765?

Thinking of this, Yukina couldn’t help but recall the girls at 765. At that time, she saw those girls surrounding Fang Zheng, happily chatting and laughing, and thought all producers were like that. She once hoped to meet a similar producer at Ogata Office. Now it seems... it was just her dream.

”Anyway, if Mr. Kawano invites you during the dinner, it’s best not to refuse. It’s for the office, and also for yourself.”

”......Yes.”

Hearing this, Yukina finally lowered her head.

Watching this scene before them, Illya and Little Hei, floating nearby, began to whisper to each other.

”Wow, Little Hei, look, it’s just like in the TV dramas.”

”Exactly, exactly, I think so too, if this were a TV drama, Yukina would be the protagonist.”

”So the guy named Kawano is the bad guy, right?”

”Of course, anyone who harbors ill intentions towards the protagonist is definitely a villain. And didn’t Katori also say it? That guy drove a red sports car to pick her up at school, how could he be genuinely kind-hearted!”

Speaking of which, Little Hei rolled her eyes.

”Hmm... I just thought of a good idea.”

”What idea?”

”That guy named Kawano has a bad reputation, right? We heard it before too.”

”That’s true...”

Because Illya and Little Hei were spiritual bodies, they could freely roam around the office, and they had heard quite a bit. For instance, several girls couldn’t stand Yukina and badmouthed her behind her back, mocking her for getting carried away and being targeted by that man Kawano. Through their conversations, Little Hei and Illya also learned that the man named Kawano had toyed with several girls, one of whom had even committed suicide because of him.

”Hehehe, we can...”

While speaking, Little Hei leaned over to Illya’s ear and whispered something, and after hearing Little Hei’s words, Illya was stunned.

”Eh? That’s not right, is it?!”

”Why not? If what those people said is true, then that guy named Kawano deserves it! We’re magical girls, aren’t we supposed to punish evil and promote good?”

”Well, that’s true, but we don’t know where that guy named Kawano is, do we?”

This was indeed a big problem.

”Don’t worry, if his target is Sister Yukina, he’ll show up sooner or later, and then...”

At this, Little Hei showed a meaningful smile.

”It’s up to us!”
