Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1610: Chapter 1608: A Girl’s Will

The song ended.

Yukina walked off the stage, respectfully bowed to everyone.

”Thank you for your hard work!”

”Thank you for your hard work!”

After exchanging greetings, Yukina returned to her dressing room, leaned on the chair, and let out a long sigh. She looked at herself in the mirror, feeling a bit dazed. Even now, Yukina could hardly believe she had just been on a live television show...

”You’ve worked hard, Yukina.”

Sora then came over with a cheerful smile, handing a bottle of water to Yukina.

”Not bad, we defeated Haruno’s team. We’re the weekly champions, how about that? Sounds good, doesn’t it?”

”Hmm...”

Upon hearing Sora’s words, Yukina nodded slightly, hesitating for a moment.

”Uh... Sora?”

”Hmm?”

”Is it really okay to do this?”

”Are you really asking this now?”

Hearing Yukina’s question, Sora sighed helplessly.

”You were the one who initially came to discuss this with us, remember? What did you say back then? ’Even if I’m beside Haruno, I’m just one of those girls. Rather than this, maybe if I go somewhere else, I could attract his attention...’ And now, you’ve even signed a contract, but you want to back out... It’s a bit too late for that.”

”That’s true...”

Listening to Sora, Yukina felt a tinge of regret deep in her heart. In fact, she initially intended to follow Hiroshi’s suggestion and go to 765 to find Fang Zheng. After all, Yukina thought it might be better if she had someone she knew by her side.

What Yukina didn’t expect was that just as she arrived near 765 Office, she saw Fang Zheng at the entrance greeting girls for work. Yukina instinctively hid and observed him closely.

Then, she felt a chill in her heart.

The girls at 765 were undoubtedly of high quality, with various attributes included. Not to mention Takane and Meixi, who were outstanding beauties; even Hibiki and Xuebu had their own charm. Watching this large group of girls surround Fang Zheng, laughing and chatting, Yukina’s mood was quite complicated.

Clearly, she was the first, but... now there were so many girls around him, adding herself wouldn’t really make a difference, would it? At that point, even if she was by his side, what would it matter? Would he notice her? Care about her? Or, to him, would she just be one out of many idols, only slightly familiar?

Thinking of this, Yukina left disappointedly, returned to find Sora and the others, and cried her heart out. Then, Yukina made a decision. Since he doesn’t notice me when I’m by his side, I’ll become an idol somewhere else!

To be honest, when Sora and the others first heard Yukina’s decision, they were quite surprised. But eventually, they were convinced by Yukina. Upon reflection, they were also displeased. Clearly, Fang Zheng returned, but he didn’t come to find them; instead, he went to other women...!

Despite Fang Zheng believing he had clarified everything with them, logic doesn’t always convince women. In the end, Komizo Yukina decided to join Ogata Office, with Sora, Setsuna, and Touma as her backup!

Morikawa Yuki had wanted to invite Yukina into the office more than once, and was very pleased when Yukina decided to accept her offer. So it didn’t take long for Yukina to sign with Ogata Office, becoming one of their artists.

In fact, Yukina wrote the lyrics to this song, and Touma composed the music.

Initially, it was just a little girl’s tantrum, but what Yukina didn’t expect was that this song would become wildly popular, reaching the top of the weekly charts. Now, it’s quite a headache. Ogata Office has decided to train Yukina as their key talent, and now Yukina fully understands what it means to be caught in a dilemma.

Initially, she just wanted to provoke Fang Zheng a little, but who knew it would come to this?

What should she do next?

Now it’s impossible to back out; Yukina has already signed an agreement with the office. But she hadn’t expected things to develop like this, causing her to feel anxious and uncertain again. If Haruno felt she was deliberately targeting him, what should she do? What if he started to dislike her...?

”Ah...”

Yukina held her head, distressed and unsure of what to do.

Fang Zheng didn’t know what was troubling Yukina. To be honest, he was indeed surprised that Yukina had actually gone to become an idol. After all, Yukina was not the type of girl who liked to be in the spotlight, although she had won the MISS Sakagino beauty pageant at school. But that was more due to her classmates’ recommendations than her own initiative.

Actually, Fang Zheng always felt Yukina kept away from anything flashy.

As to why there was this change in mindset... well, Fang Zheng didn’t know either.

But regardless, just as Yukina had hoped, Fang Zheng indeed noticed her.

After all, the entry requirement for the Platinum Idol Grand Prize is at least winning a championship in an idol competition. Although Yukina is only a weekly champion at the moment, her popularity has already risen, and if all goes well, Yukina will definitely participate in the Platinum Idol Grand Prize.

And at that time... she’ll have to face off against these young girls under his wing directly.

But before that happens, Fang Zheng still has much to do.

That is, to continue increasing the visibility of his idols.

Ogata Office is a long-established agency and also has money. After Yukina topped the weekly chart, over the next few days, various entertainment news and magazines conducted a full-scale coverage and reporting on Yukina. Furthermore, manufacturers signed contracts with her, and indeed, just two days later, Fang Zheng saw Yukina’s large advertisement—hmm, endorsing Sprite.

”That’s nice...”

Seeing Yukina on the billboard, the twins couldn’t help but express admiration. They had also looked at entertainment magazines. Admittedly, Yukina’s championship indeed fits perfectly with people’s curiosity, a previously ordinary schoolgirl, releasing her first song, becoming a weekly champion; the topic was indeed strong.

It can be imagined that in the coming days, Yukina will become increasingly popular.

However, it’s not such good news for 765 Office.

But Fang Zheng isn’t entirely out of options.

If we can’t beat Yukina in quality, then let’s win in quantity!

Thus, in the following days, the girls were surprised to discover their workload increasing.
