Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 601: Chapter 430: Cowherd and Weaver Girl (Part 2)

”Swish rasp!”

The head in the middle of the Hydreigon roared ferociously, as an orange-yellow ball of light quickly gathered at its chest and abdomen, rocketing skyward with Dragapult’s terrified expression!

Whew——

The energy ball emitted a screech like fireworks shooting up into the sky, then explosively burst into numerous little meteors with long fiery tails!

Dragapult struggled continuously, only to find its strength was not comparable to Hydreigon’s. Before it could unleash its Dragon Flame at nearly point-blank range, its mouth was clamped shut by Hydreigon’s own enormous head.

The exaggerated bite force directly caused Dragapult to lose most of its resistance, forcing it into becoming a meat shield as Hydreigon flipped over.

One by one, the fire meteors rushed down, hitting Dragapult.

Boom boom boom——

Explosive smoke and dust billowed upwards.

”It’s over.” Baimu stated confidently to the two Dreepys.

With Dragapult’s build, there’s no way it could withstand a Meteor Shower.

Perhaps a Multiscale Dragonite could.

The two Dreepys blinked, and soon, through the smoke, they saw the fainted Dragapult in front.

”Hee-yaa!” Sister Dragapult, amidst the shock, carried a hint of delight.

While Brother Dragapult, on the other hand, was full of worry.

Baimu collected the fallen Dragapult back into the Pokeball, ”With a basis of winning in a direct battle, future communication will certainly be smoother.”

The previous capture had borrowed Furong’s strength, rendering Dragapult possibly unyielding.

After finding the plaza manager and settling the repair costs and fines, he brought the Pokémon that participated in the battle to the Pokémon Center for treatment.

Half an hour later.

He went to the nearby park and released the bandaged Dragapult.

Brother Dragapult, as usual, wanted to fly over, but this time, Sister Dragapult didn’t allow it, firmly pinning him on Baimu’s head.

Seeing this, Dragapult issued a threatening low growl.

”Ra-ta!!”

”Why are you growling? It’s only natural for an elder sister to care for her brother, but you, the kidnapper, do you know what you’ve done?”

Baimu’s words reached over, making Dragapult uncharacteristically panic and feel guilty, turning its head aside.

This guy must have interacted with the human world before, so it understood human language better than the Dreepys, and its higher level helped comprehend things.

Seeing this, Sister Dragapult let go of its brother, slapped Dragapult’s head twice.

”Hee-yaa!”

How did you manage to abduct my brother!

Facing Sister Dragapult’s angry glare, Dragapult’s narrow eyes flashed with a strange look of grievance.

Then.

With the help of Porygon II, Baimu learned of a twisted yet coincidental tale.

Due to certain factors, Dragapult’s previous two Dreepys left it, compelling it to seek new partners.

Brother Dragapult was discovered during its search; they met in a forest, with Brother Dragapult appearing lost.

As a result, upon meeting it, Brother Dragapult unhesitatingly drilled into Dragapult’s launcher.

Thinking it was fate, Dragapult was overjoyed and promptly took Brother Dragapult to search for another Dreepy.

When Brother Dragapult realized he was about to leave his sister without even saying goodbye, they were already boarding a Ghost Ship bound for the Hoenn Region.

”To go to the Hoenn Region to find a Dreepy?” Baimu pondered with a head full of question marks.

Porygon II informed him it’s possible, as the current academic community believes Dreepy is a special existence born after the death of an ancient Dragon-type Pokémon.

They would linger where they once lived, and their old activity regions weren’t limited to just the Galar Region.

They could also be somewhere deep in the ocean.

Overall, Dragapult was drawn to Mauville City by an inner calling.

Unexpectedly, this trip resulted in a double loss, not only failing to find the last Dreepy but also losing the one it had.

At the same time, it ended up captured, all rather baffling.

Nonetheless, Dragapult had no choice but to accept this vexing reality.

”So why did your former partners leave you?” Baimu focused on this crucial point that Dragapult seemed to deliberately conceal.

Yet discussing this met with the other party’s evasive silence.

As someone who doesn’t like forcing Pokémon, and figuring it’s just a matter of time before he knows the reason, he didn’t press further.

”What’s your next plan then? They’ve decided to hang with me.”

Baimu scooped up the two Dreepys, nudging them to his head under Dragapult’s envious gaze.

As for his words... Dragapult didn’t even have the intention to answer.

Not to mention being captured, the two Dreepys before it possibly pretending not to see and leaving?

Thinking too much!

Dragapult wanted to persuade another Dreepy...

Or else it might end up with none.

Additionally, it stated bluntly that it despises humans, although captured, it wouldn’t blindly follow everything Baimu says like Hydreigon would.

It emphasizes having a strong sense of self—

A common mindset among high-level wild Pokémon, Alice’s Dragonite being a prime example with a strong sense of autonomy.

Until after suffering a few setbacks, only then did it fully entrust its faith in Alice after a private chat imbued with Dragon’s Heart.

Baimu planned to duplicate Alice’s approach.

Though the dislike toward humans?

He sought to inquire the reason from Dragapult, only to face rejection.

This led him to suspect it might have connections to the mysterious past partners.

Captured by humans? Poached by a team?

If Baimu possessed Dragon’s Heart, he could delve into Dragapult’s past memories, rendering evasion futile.

Alas, he did not.

On the other hand, upon learning the full incident, Sister Dragapult’s gaze towards Dragapult softened considerably, though still predominantly resistant.

Even if the event arose due to her brother’s mischievous wandering, Dragapult equally held undeniable responsibility.

Hence, Brother Dragapult’s desire to enter Dragapult’s launcher faced her staunch opposition.

Much like a mother refusing to marry off her daughter to an unknown young boy.

A lamentable barrier named ”Sister’s Disapproval” arose between Dragapult and Brother Dragapult.

However, both are male.

A Pokémon version of a familial ethic drama? Star-crossed lovers?

”Hahaha, looks like we both need to work hard, huh?”

Baimu laughed heartily.

Dragapult’s slightly sly triangular squint revealed a hint of disgruntlement.

But seeing Sister Dragapult pulling her brother, resting atop Baimu’s head, the displeasure turned into envy.

——

On the way back to his room, Baimu encountered Furong.

”Yo! How’s it going with them, Baimu?”

Furong grinned warmly.

”Still in the very early stages of bonding, if I were to liken it as affinity, it might even be zero.”

He shook his head regretfully, glancing at the resting Dragapult beside him, which avoided direct eye contact, diverting its gaze.

Furong responded, ”Show the knack you had getting close to the Dreepys fast, and I think you’ll quickly become familiar with it.”

”Let’s hope so... Is Furong Celestial King planning to depart?”

”Indeed, Mauville City no longer needs my presence. I’ll be returning to God-sending Mountain, if you ever get the chance, feel free to visit!”

Furong gave him a playful wink, ”The Spirit Realm there is more fascinating than the Ghost Hotel!”

The Spirit Realm...

Honestly, unless necessary, he’d prefer avoiding such perilous locales, but with the invitation, he reciprocated cordially with a few words.

Subsequently, he learned that Bonnie had gone to the Alliance Headquarters, reporting the Spirit Realm trip.

Supposedly, it was the ghostly Pokémon gathered by Furong that caused quite a commotion.

So why was it Bonnie reporting to the Alliance and not Furong who gathered the ghosts?

Baimu found this question worth pondering.

Perhaps Furong hadn’t returned to the Alliance instead of God-sending Mountain because she was grounded... highly possible!

After bidding farewell to Furong, just moments later, through the window, he saw her being picked up by a car.

Her expression didn’t seem particularly happy.

It seems he guessed correctly!

Baimu mourned for her and resolved to head toward his next Gym destination—Verdanturf City.
