Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 606: Chapter 432: Superpower User (2)

”Next time you come, remember to call me in advance. I’ll make sure to reserve a room just for you!”

Emily stood at the door, bidding farewell to Baimu along with many reluctant Shuppets, whose stomachs had been won over by him in just half an hour.

”Definitely, definitely.”

The latter responded with a cheerful smile, his gaze wandering around after walking past the hotel’s outer railings.

Soon after dinner, Dragapult vanished into thin air, and he couldn’t even find the dragon to recall him to the Pokeball.

At first, he thought this fellow had calmed down and was planning to abandon two Dreepys and sneak away. Only when he smelled the aromatic scent left on him did he realize the fellow was nearby, as Brother Dragapult also went invisible all around, calling non-stop.

Don’t want to return to the Pokeball?

Understandable.

After all, he was so free before, going wherever he wanted, but now he had to squeeze into a Pokeball. Comfortable as it may be, the confinement couldn’t be avoided.

Sister Dragapult didn’t seem very happy about it, apparently needing a breather from Shuppet more than Dragapult to calm down.

Sadly, the Shuppets were all full.

——

Four o’clock in the afternoon.

Baimu walked past the closed Weather Research Institute, arriving at the outskirts of Verdanturf City.

The first thing he saw was a forest of towering trees, roughly estimated to be dozens to even hundreds of meters tall, with numerous treehouses built inside, connected by board bridges, a sight to behold.

But Verdanturf City wasn’t only about treehouses; conventional steel and concrete buildings also existed, albeit fewer in number, scattered across the city.

The most conspicuous, however, was the gigantic pyramid-like trapezoidal building in the city center—

Verdanturf Gym.

The Gym’s feature was its open-air battleground, located at the top of the trapezoidal building, where Naqi allowed challengers to experience what it meant to be the ”Graceful Dancer of the Skies.”

”The environment in Hoenn is really nice.”

Baimu watched people smiling effortlessly as they walked between the treehouses, as well as the wild Bug-type Pokémon that didn’t fear humans at all, feeling somewhat envious.

The journey from Verdanturf Town, Lavaridge Town, Fallarbor Town, to Verdanturf City seemed fitting for habitat.

While the land in the Hoenn Region wasn’t as expansive as other regions, it far exceeds some areas with mere landmass but hostile climates in terms of habitability—like the Ore Region.

『As long as we strive to improve the environment, the Ore Region can surely become habitable too!』

Porygon II seemed to understand his thoughts, offering comfort from the phone.

”...We really need to try,” Baimu nodded, aware that Porygon II wasn’t feeding him meaningless platitudes but genuinely held that belief.

For a virtual Pokémon, as long as it can update data and receive energy replenishment in real-time, it will work diligently, even if it takes hundreds or thousands of years.

Ultimately, Porygon II was designed with the goal of planet development to facilitate human migration, so he could consider that even a hundred years after his death, Porygon II would still work on improving the Ore Region’s environment.

Invisible Dragapult overheard their conversation and a question mark popped over its head.

Environment? Ore Region?

They seemed to be discussing something significant. Do you know?

It quietly asked Brother Dragapult on its head.

”Cha-ha!”

Brother Dragapult joyfully replied that it didn’t know.

Dragapult: ”...”

Why are you so happy? Did I choose the wrong partner?

For a moment, it regretted its choice but realized that only someone as carefree as this little one would partner with a Dragapult like it.

Unlike its clever sister, who clearly resisted.

Dragapult sneakily glanced at Sister Dragapult on Baimu’s head, who seemed to sense the gaze, suddenly looking around.

It quickly shifted its gaze.

This Dreepy was really hard to deal with, yet it wished for her to become its partner.

Feeling conflicted.

Dragapult followed closely behind Baimu, not daring to get too close or too far.

A moment later.

They arrived at a treehouse-themed Pokémon Center under the canopy of a towering tree. Even the Pokeball pattern on its roof was made of wood.

Upon entry, he realized only the exterior was wooden, as the interior retained its steel and concrete structure.

After routine checkups, Baimu settled in a nearby Tree House Hotel and specifically chose a ground-level room by the water to prevent Aggron from collapsing the wooden floor.

A bunch of Pokémon flew out of the Pokeball, curiously observing the surroundings.

It was their first time staying in an entirely wooden house.

”Roar~”

Aggron stepped onto the carpet, hearing the wooden floor creak beneath, and sweat dripped from its forehead. It felt like it might break the floor.

”Pory!”

Nearby, Porygon II flew to its side, assuring it that the floor’s strength was definitely enough to support it.

Aggron then moved slowly.

Dragapult hid in the corner; Brother Dragapult on its head had already gone out merrily, leaving it alone to observe.

It felt very comfortable.

On the other side.

Baimu had finished tidying up, pondering whether to schedule a Gym challenge or shop for dinner ingredients when he realized the simulator countdown had ended.

It was an ordinary simulation, the third one after the blue talent simulation.

The process usually went quickly since the simulation target often didn’t collect all badges.

Hmm...

How about finishing the simulation first?

He sat down; after a lengthy journey, he certainly deserved some rest.

[Choose your birth region▽]

Being an ordinary simulation makes the region irrelevant, so he selected the Kanto Region with eyes closed.

Gender.

Male.

Pokémon section opened.

No Pokémon was selectable due to the previous simulation not making it to the League conference.

Baimu remained expressionless and quietly opened the talents section.

Fixed Talent:

[Weak and Often Ill (Health condition not optimistic)]

Optional Talents:

[Poor Family (Burden to nurture Pokémon)]

[Superpower User (Possesses superpowers)]

[Unyielding (Won’t abandon Pokémon)]

[Sentimental (Easily swayed emotions)]

”——WTF!?”

His eyes widened, and he quickly rubbed them to confirm he wasn’t seeing things. The unchanged text on the simulator proved his clarity.

[Superpower User]!

...But it’s white?

Why is a Divine Level talent like this white? Not purple, orange, or anything — at least it should be blue, right?

Something seemed amiss.

Baimu glanced at other talents, finding nothing else to choose from, so he directly opted for [Superpower User] and [Unyielding].

He pressed start, looking at the screen with anticipation.

Anyway, it’s just an ordinary simulation, anything gained is worthwhile.

——

[Simulation begins]

The familiar pixel style opening unfolded.

The content or rather the background seemed surprisingly familiar to Baimu.

”...Golden City?”

He watched the pixel-styled bustling metropolis, wondering if the simulation’s target was Nazi’s father or mother.

Nazi definitely wouldn’t be weak and often ill; she could easily master superpowers as a child, so it must be someone else.

The scene shifted, finally freezing at a gym-like building entrance.

A small figure in a black cloak carrying bags walked out, glancing back occasionally.

[At twelve, you received the dismissal notice from Golden Gym Leader Nazi. Nazi indicated that Golden Gym is on the right track from now and no longer needs superpower apprentices. You felt quite lost about this.]

Dismissal of apprentices?

Was it after Ash Ketchum made Nazi laugh by bringing Gastly, causing a breakthrough?
