Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 607: Chapter 433: Quartz Exam Paper

If the simulation object this time comes from the Golden Gym.

Then it indeed makes sense why the [Superpower User] is a blank slate.

Because those psychic apprentices in the animation struggle to bend metal spoons or guess the cards in someone’s hand, the superpower is almost non-existent.

Even if there is, it’s minimal.

Of course.

The simulation for the superpower user has just begun, so making any definition now is arbitrary; therefore, Baimu no longer pondered much and continued watching silently.

In the screen.

The superpower user boarded a pixelated bus, and as it moved forward on the road, lines of text began to emerge.

[Since childhood, you have been physically weak and often ill, requiring a hospital stay every month. Then one day, your parents received guidance from someone skilled and learned that superpowers could cure your body. Coincidentally, you have the talent to learn superpowers, so you came to the Golden Gym hoping to learn superpowers from the mighty Nazi.]

[You worked hard for three years but only grasped the basics of superpowers and couldn’t even bend a spoon smoothly. Now, leaving the gym, you have only one path left—to return home.]

The narration ended, and the bus stopped in a rural area full of farmland.

The superpower user got off the bus with their luggage and didn’t proceed far before stopping in place, a sweat symbol appearing on his head, suggesting he’s quite exhausted.

Indeed, physically weak...

Baimu watched the superpower user squatting on the ground in self-isolation, curious how he cared for himself over the three years at the Golden Gym. He felt he was witnessing a second Mann Chong; perhaps he would gradually regain health as he embarked on his journey, just like Mann Chong?

But honestly, the important thing should be being with Pokémon.

From the start till now, it’s been two or three minutes, and this guy’s Pokémon hasn’t appeared yet.

On the screen, the panting superpower user was quite lucky to catch a passing Tauros cart, returning home after much effort—

To a house on a small town, much like Ash Ketchum’s.

When the superpower user pressed the doorbell, two ordinary pixel people ran out from inside and, upon seeing him, their foreheads simultaneously expressed exclamation marks, looking quite surprised.

[You returned home and told your parents about Nazi’s dismissal of apprentices. They blamed you for not notifying them, and you responded perfunctorily, feeling abnormally weary about it.]

The simulation began to accelerate.

Repeated scenes were the same few frames — waking up, going downstairs to eat, returning to the room to practice superpowers, going to bed; the monotonous scenes represented the superpower user staying at home for a long time doing nothing.

It was at this time that Baimu confirmed, he really doesn’t have a Pokémon! His parents do.

Why?

As one day the superpower user’s parents urged him to go out for a walk, the narration provided the answer.

[You rested at home for a month, with your parents never letting you handle chores, but an idle life is not enjoyable.]

The superpower user stood on a ridge, gazing at a group of peers and their Pokémon in the distance, various ellipses flying over his head.

[You watch those kids, who are about the same age as you, freely frolicking with their Pokémon, and can’t help but feel a bit envious.]

[Since you were young, your parents prohibited you from casually interacting with Pokémon, fearing you might catch strange germs. Later, during your learning journey at the Golden Gym, even when barely able to care for yourself, you didn’t have the energy to care for a Pokémon, so at twelve years old, you don’t have a Pokémon companion of your own.]

This kid, could he be falling into depression?

Seeing the superpower user’s head repeatedly displaying various negative expressions, Baimu was very worried about his mental state.

At twelve years old, if his body isn’t strong enough to travel, he might as well go to school.

In the movie ”Everyone’s Story,” there’s a female character named Lisa, who didn’t capture her first Pokémon, an Eevee, until high school, focusing on academics and athletics before then.

Unfortunately, his ideas couldn’t be conveyed to the superpower user there; hence, he could only watch the latter seemingly spiraling, passing each day by eating, sleeping, waking, eating.

Living like a washed-up Corsola.

Yet, the superpower user also has his persistence, like the daily superpower exercises, even though he can’t bend a spoon.

From this persistence, it’s clear he’s unwilling to accept that life is just this.

And in this miraculous world where people coexist with Pokémon, the superpower user, during another outing for relaxation, encountered his opportunity... or encounter.

[During your walk, you vaguely heard a faint cry for help, hurriedly ran over, and found a child about five or six years old holding onto a Pokémon accidentally fell into a river, with several other kids of similar age standing on the riverbank, extremely alarmed.]

By the riverbank, the superpower user directed those kids to find adults for help, while trying to remove his clothes and go down to rescue.

Unfortunately, his body was too weak.

[You swam for a while, realized your stamina wasn’t enough to support rescuing the drowning child and Pokémon, and had to give up helplessly.]

The superpower user returned to the shore, and seeing the adults still not arrived, pinned his hopes on his own superpowers.

[You tried using your superpowers to lift the drowning ones, but regrettably, with the ineffective superpower that can’t even bend a spoon, you couldn’t rescue them and could only watch them sink...]

As the narration froze.
