Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Regarding this question, Seiryū casually made up an excuse. ”If I had not been injured, I would not have bothered to develop a new Medical Ninjutsu.”

”I do not plan to develop any more in the future, so I saved myself the trouble and did not add a numerical prefix.”

As for the real reason, it was naturally because the system rewarded Kaidō did not have a numerical prefix in the first place.

With his slight obsessive tendencies, Seiryū felt it was much more comfortable to follow the naming convention of Kidō.

While naming them Lightning Release: Raikōhō or Lightning Release: Hakurai was not impossible, the cool factor was clearly not as high as Hadō.

Just imagine.

In the future, when Seiryū mastered Senjutsu and met the conditions to chant incantations, after reciting a long and grand incantation, shouting ”Lightning Release: Raikōhō” would make him lose his composure. It would feel strange and awkward.

Therefore, this was one of the reasons Seiryū insisted on using the Kidō names.

Anyway, since he developed the techniques, he could name them however he wanted.

Tsunade’s mouth twitched.

It was actually just for that reason?

”Forget it, I will not argue with you about this.”

She did not dwell on his naming style, having already grown accustomed to it.

After all, Jiraiya and Orochimaru were also quite eccentric.

One constantly called himself the Toad Sage, while the other developed Ninjutsu all related to snakes.

Although Seiryū was even more erratic than those two, she had gotten used to it after so many incidents.

”Perform this Kaidō once so I can see it.”

Her curiosity had been aroused by his words, and she wanted to witness the Kaidō he developed with her own eyes.

With her knowledge of Medical Ninjutsu, she might be able to discern something.

”Use your Medical Chakra to ease the burden on my chakra pathways first. I do not want to worsen my injuries just by performing the technique.”

”Do you think I would overlook something like that?”

”Yes.”

Tsunade’s forehead veins throbbed as she told herself not to get angry.

After giving Seiryū a light flick on the forehead, she glared at him. ”Hurry up. While I was checking you earlier, I already coated your damaged chakra pathways with Medical Chakra.”

Seiryū also told himself not to get angry and muttered with a pout, ”You could have said that earlier.”

After being flicked again, he was full of resentment.

He secretly swore that when he became stronger than Tsunade in the future, he would definitely hang her up and beat her until she cried for her parents and could not get out of bed.

”Kaidō.”

With Tsunade’s Medical Chakra reducing the burden on his internal chakra pathways, Seiryū dared to fully mobilize his chakra to perform Kaidō.

As a pale green light descended upon him, his body began to emit a green glow.

Fortunately, it was only a faint green glow. His hair remained vibrant red and did not turn green.

Once upon a time, green represented health and nature, but at some point its meaning changed.

It became associated with being a cuckold.

”Mmm, this feeling is really nice, even more comfortable than soaking in a hot spring. If I cannot continue as a ninja in the future, maybe I can open a wellness center. Business would definitely boom.”

Wrapped in the light of Kaidō, Seiryū felt his body become warm and comfortable, even better than soaking in a hot spring.

With this ability, opening a wellness center would surely make a fortune.

Moreover, under the treatment of Kaidō, the damaged chakra pathways in his body were recovering at a rate visible to the naked eye.

As he increased his chakra output, the effect became even stronger.

”What powerful healing ability.”

With her Medical Chakra attached to his damaged chakra pathways, Tsunade naturally observed the changes in his body.

While marveling, she also felt confused and whispered, ”No, it is not healing, but repairing the wound?”

”This is not like Medical Ninjutsu at all.”

What Seiryū could notice, Tsunade, as a top tier Medical Ninja, could naturally notice as well.

This did not seem like accelerating healing, but directly repairing the wound.

How was this like Medical Ninjutsu?

Seiryū heard her words and immediately retorted, ”How is it not Medical Ninjutsu? This is Medical Ninjutsu. Anything that can treat injuries is Medical Ninjutsu.”

Kaidō was Medical Ninjutsu.

Whoever said it was not, he would argue with them.

This bad woman had just looked at him like a test subject. She might even want to use him for experiments.

Although she would certainly not endanger his life, still, what normal person would be willing to be a lab rat for others to study?

Even if they were paid.

Eh?

Wait.

This seemed like it might not be entirely unacceptable.

Tsunade ignored his retort, knitting her brows and murmuring, ”Directly repairing injuries. This kind of healing effect, I seem to have heard of it somewhere.”

She began to think carefully.

Suddenly, she clapped her hands.

”That is it.”

Her voice carried clear surprise. ”Grandma Mito once told me that some members of the Uzumaki Clan with special constitutions can use their own life force to heal themselves or others. Could it be?”

Within the Uzumaki Clan, individuals with special constitutions occasionally appeared.

The chakra of these Uzumaki members was somewhat different from ordinary Uzumaki. Their chakra contained a powerful and easily absorbed life force.

They could even use chakra infused with life force to restore their own injuries or those of others.

However, Tsunade remembered Mito saying that although those with special chakra and constitutions could heal others or themselves, they could not perform it through Medical Ninjutsu.

It could only be done through certain special methods.

For example, using biting as a way to forcibly draw out the special chakra containing life force from those Uzumaki members.

Because it restored injuries by consuming life force, the effect manifested not as gradual healing, but as direct repair.

And the effect of Seiryū’s Kaidō was exactly that, direct repair of injuries.

Could Seiryū be that kind of special Uzumaki that Mito mentioned?

With this hypothesis, Tsunade thought of something else.

She murmured, ”When this kid was brought back to Konoha by Shinku, he recovered completely from a near death state overnight.”

”Did he awaken this special constitution when his life was in danger, just like awakening a Bloodline Limit?”

She had already learned more about Seiryū’s situation from the Third Hokage.

Recovering from a near death state overnight was not something even the Uzumaki Clan with their strong life force should be able to achieve so quickly.

But if Seiryū was one of those Uzumaki with special chakra and a special constitution, then everything had an explanation.

The only question was, how could Seiryū perform this special ability in the form of Medical Ninjutsu?
