Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

”Washing feet? Why is it washing feet again?”

After understanding that Seiryū was fine, Kurenai also relaxed. However, hearing the conversation between the two, she sensed something unusual. Did Seiryū really just misspeak earlier? Or does Seiryū actually like girls’ feet?

”Stare...”

Kurenai’s gaze was a bit strange, stealing a glance at Seiryū from time to time.

”Kurenai, why do you keep stealing glances at me?”

Sensing Kurenai’s gaze, Seiryū felt a bit strange.

”No, it’s nothing.”

Kurenai did not dare to meet Seiryū’s eyes, feeling the guilt of having discovered his little secret, while also feeling a bit shy. She needed to test Seiryū later. If Seiryū likes feet, then she would need to take more care of hers in the future. But how strange, why would someone like girls’ feet?

How odd.

”Are we returning to Konoha now?”

Seiryū looked at Tsunade and asked curiously, ”By the way, encountering that rogue ninja from Takigakure this time was unexpected. Will the mission rank be higher? Will the reward be increased?”

”You’ve really got your eyes on the money, don’t you?”

Tsunade admired Seiryū’s nonchalance. How long had it been since the crisis passed, and he was already starting to consider the mission reward?

”Changes outside the mission scope are also counted towards the mission ranking. This mission should be considered A-rank.”

Tsunade crossed her arms, making her chest look even fuller, and explained, ”However, because it was an accident, the reward will not change, but the mission rank will increase. You can be considered Genin who have completed an A-rank mission!”

Thinking back to what just happened, Tsunade felt she had still far underestimated Seiryū. Calm in the face of danger, clear judgment of the battlefield, harboring a powerful new jutsu, and a combat IQ far exceeding his peers. Even some shinobi who have been Chunin for a long time might not have Seiryū’s level of judgment.

”No way, I ended up seriously injured, and the reward did not increase? This is exploitation and oppression of us workers! When will we workers be able to stand up?”

Seiryū had a look of utter despair. Who the hell wants a mission rank increase? He just wanted money. He was seriously injured and did not even get worker’s compensation. This was such a scam!

Tsunade especially liked seeing this expression on Seiryū and could not help but laugh. ”Not only is there no money, but you also need to pay my medical fee. I’m your sensei, so I will not charge you extra. We will just offset all the money I owe you.”

”That’s impossible!”

Seiryū flatly refused, looking at Tsunade warily. ”I said it, I’m going to develop a new medical ninjutsu, I do not need your treatment!”

”Objection overruled!”

Tsunade laughed even more brightly. ”I am your Jōnin instructor and your sensei, you must obey my orders!”

Seiryū: ”...”

He had really dug a hole for himself. After resting for most of the day, the group set off again, heading towards Konoha. Tsunade was still carrying Seiryū on her back. Seiryū’s injuries were indeed not light. Every movement caused a sharp pain, making him truly an injured person.

After returning to Konoha, Seiryū was settled in Tsunade’s home. He did not even need to go to the ninja hospital. After all, Tsunade was Konoha’s strongest medical ninja, and where she stayed was the place with the highest medical level.

”Bad woman, do you have any medical books here?”

After resting for two days, although he still felt some stinging in his meridians, it had eased quite a bit compared to the beginning. It did not affect his movement much. Seiryū also planned to ”develop” the reactivation technique.

Hearing Tsunade’s tone, to develop a new medical ninjutsu, one needs sufficient medical knowledge, so it could not be ”developed” just like that. He had to put on an act to avoid being taken by Tsunade for dissection. Tsunade had once said she wanted to cut open his skull to see what was going on in his brain.

Tsunade glanced at Seiryū and gave a playful smile. ”Are you planning to start developing a new medical ninjutsu now? Hehe, it seems you really want to win this bet.”

Seiryū said noncommittally, ”The bet is just secondary. I do not really want to lie down for several months, that would be too much of a waste of time.”

Tsunade nodded slightly. ”Fine, I’m looking forward to you developing a new medical ninjutsu. Do not forget the bet, washing someone’s feet.”

Well, it was ambiguous. Washing someone’s feet, whose feet exactly? She did not make it clear. She would scam this kid again when the time came. Who told her to be the sensei and the Jōnin instructor? Handled!

”I won’t forget.”

Seiryū did not hear that Tsunade was planning to scam him, but even if he knew, he would not care.

Tsunade pointed in one direction. ”Go to the study yourself. All the medical books I’ve collected are in there. Let’s get this straight, since it involves the bet, I will not provide you with any help.”

Seiryū shrugged. ”Who needs it? Who are you looking down on? I’m a genius.”

After saying that, Seiryū strolled towards the study. Speaking of which, this was the first time Seiryū had entered the study in Tsunade’s home. The study was large, with several bookshelves arranged in rows, and the shelves were stacked with books. Although it could not compare to Konoha’s library, the collection was still quite impressive. As expected of a wealthy family, they have money!

Walking to a bookshelf, Seiryū randomly pulled out a book and flipped through it. Looking at the contents, he was suddenly surprised. ”Eh? There are even the Second Hokage’s collections?”

”It’s actually the development process of the Shadow Clone Jutsu?”

Continuing to read, the content on this page of the book was surprisingly the development concept and research process of the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

”There’s even the development process of the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu.”

Flipping further, Seiryū saw the development process of the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu. He could not help but marvel. ”Tsk, the value of this is not low. After all, it’s also an A-rank forbidden jutsu.”

”The principle of the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu is similar to the Shadow Clone Jutsu, but it removes the limit on the number. As long as there’s enough chakra, one can create thousands of clones at once.”

”If I spend some time, I might even be able to learn it directly. Speaking of which, I have not learned the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu yet. I can study it later. I wonder if there are corresponding manuscripts for other forbidden jutsu?”

Out of curiosity, Seiryū began to search. He found no manuscripts for Reanimation Jutsu, Flying Thunder God Technique, Tandem Paper Bomb, soul forbidden jutsu, and other such ninjutsu and forbidden jutsu. This could not help but make Seiryū a bit disappointed.

But it was normal. The ones mentioned above were all S-rank ninjutsu or forbidden jutsu. Although the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu was also a forbidden jutsu, it was only A-rank after all. It was not considered too important. Perhaps the Second Hokage did not take it to heart.

”Forget it, I’ll find an opportunity later to see if I can take out the sealing jutsu and have a look.”

Seiryū did not think much more and looked for the bookshelf containing medical books.
